This study analyzes a copyright possession of scholarly journal papers which is published from academic society. There are three ways where the author transfers the copyright to a society, the author has the copyright, and the author and society own jointly the copyright. These ways are analyzed with their strong and weak points and then presented the desirable plans.

본 논문에서는 원본 이미지에 저작권자의 저작권 정보를 삽입함으로써 저작권을 보호하고 차후 불법적인 도용을 방지하기 위해, 숫자와 로고로 구성된 워터마크 생성, 삽입 및 검출, 검증 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 본 시스템은 콘텐츠의 특성과 저작권자의 요구에 따라 워터마크를 숫자 또는 로고로 선택해서 구성할 수 있으며, 디지털 오디오 워터마킹 시스템과 마찬가지로 저작권 보호에 대한 전문지식이 없는 일반관리자도 용이하게 이용할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 갖추도록 설계하였다. 이러한 디지털 이미지 워터마킹의 적용을 통한 소유권 및 저작권 보호는 궁극적으로 문화콘텐츠 등의 콘텐츠 제작 의뢰자로 하여금 제작 의지를 강화하여 제작 의뢰 건수를 증가시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study is to analyze and evaluate copyright protection environment in digital reproduction and transmission, find out problems involved. and suggest recommendations for improvement. Data was collected 50 libraries to which digital reproduction and transmission is permitted under the Copyright Act were surveyed to examine the present states of digitalization and the systems employed. Also, library users, sampled from 5 libraries carrying out all the 6 technical measures obliged by the Copyright Act, were surveyed to examine their use of digital materials and perception on the copyright. After reviewing descriptive statistics, frequency and cross-tabulation analysis were made. The results of the analysis are most of the libraries. except for the industry university libraries, have implemented digital library systems, but the introduction rate of both digital reproduction system and transmission system are high (68.0% and 84.0%. respectively), while that of copyright protection system was low (26.0%). 84.0% of the libraries surveyed digitalize the full text, but the Libraries have digital collection less than 5,000 items, and only 33.3% of them digitalize materials with securing the copyrights. Regulations on copyright protections are not obliged properly. and it appeared that not only users' perception and perception of copyright as well as their use of electronic books are relatively low.

Problem of compatibility, content protection, contents circulation ok. was caused between contents offerer and consumers by indiscreet right technical development about digital contents. The MPEG committee proposed MPEG-21 framework for these problem solution and for right managing in MPEG-21 inside XML(eXtensible Markup Language)'s structure REL(Right Expression Language) that is a right expression language propose. Contents protection, circulation, standard right information representation for administration that is reasonable and is the transposition enemy mutually by REL's use doing based on this MPEG-21 were available. Fast correspondence about new technology is necessary circumstance because present MPEG-21 is in study step and REL edit solution as infra technology is required. Also, development of REL document edit system is required mere because this REL document edit has difficulty in edit except expert with MPEG-21 Framework. In this paper, designed and embody about REL document mastication system that right creation and edit are available efficiently about contents easily without comprehension of MPEG-21 framework and client system that present consumption method of REL right document.

This study investigated the present situation of the use of cinematographic works and the problems of copyright. Surveys were conducted in public and university libraries for these. Also, content analyses were conducted to make sense of copyright problems in libraries. As a result, this study found that problems of copyright had occurred in various aspects related to public performance, lending, digitization and internet services according to the diversity of facilities for watching cinematographic works and library services. Also, the librarians' questions to the copyright were very various from the primary level to specific level. This study suggested that regular courses of study in library schools need to be opened to primitive understanding to copyright law and occupational training programs for librarians need to be opened to complementary education as revisions of copyright law. This study also suggested that the online Q&A services need to be started for librarians who have detailed copyright problems.

This study investigates the effect of the update Digital Rights Management (DMR) strategy on a firm's profit. The model developed by Kim and Talalayevsky (2007) is applied to the case of two representative Korean software firms. Specifically, this study shows the model suggested by Kim and Talalayevsky (2007) fits the reality of Korean firms' DMR strategies. Based on the result, this study makes some implications to managers and policy makers.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the legality of the restructuring and the using of the library data by corpus, the linguistic analysis data. In the process of the analysis, the definition of corpus is tried and its possible application areas are mentioned. It is also proved how its applications are related to the copyright. In addition the problems in the present interpretations of the copyright for the library materials are analyzed in terms of to be read by machine rather than to be read by mankind, especially when the data is stored in the forms of the digital data.

This study examined issues of copyright relating to digitization of bibliographic data, copyrighted works, factual data, and manpower's data that the library have. Also It investigated legal issues related information service for user in the library and digital transmission service on need of user out of the library. This study analyzes the copyright problems of document delivery services based on interlibrary loan which are operated by KERIS and KISTI according to the agreements with KORRA. As a result of the study, we found that there are limitations of the libraries and copyright works to implement the document delivery services. Also, the electronic document delivery is the only between librarians and there is no provisions in the agreements for individual users who are not affiliated to libraries. This study suggests introduction of the ground provision for the interlibrary loan in the Copyright Act of Korea and development of authoritative guideline for details of document delivery services. Also, the study suggests that end users to request documents could be print out it but the library have to install systems to avoid copyright infringement. Finally, the study proposes the copyright fee based model for the document delivery services for individual users.
