This study examined the effect of long-term care utilization on the health care utilization of Medicaid elderly. The subjects were 5,834 long-term care insurance with the level 1 Medicaid elders, who received either service or non-service. This study examined the impact of long-term care service on the probability of health care utilization and the costs of health care utilization. The total medical cost and inpatient day between 2009-2007 were significant factors affecting long-term care utilization (${\beta}=.29$, p< .001, ${\beta}=.33$, p< .001 ) and this variable explained 22.6% of the total medical cost and 22.4% of the inpatient day. The results showed that non-service in long-term care was associated with an increase in health care utilization. The current long-term care insurance system should place higher priority and more resource allocation on long-term care utilization to increase the efficiency of the insurance system.

The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of REBT based cinema therapy program on depression, self-esteem, emotional expression and interpersonal relationship of depressed middle-aged women. The subjects of study were 44 middle-aged women with depression who were registered in the mental health center of G city (experimental group 23, control group 21). Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test. The results of study suggested that the REBT-based cinema therapy was effective nursing intervention to reduce depression and improve self-esteem, emotional expression and interpersonal relationship skill in middle-aged women with depression. Therefore, REBT-based cinema therapy program could be used as a community psychosocial rehabilitation nursing intervention program.

This article tried to suggest ways to improve satisfaction of their life, as finding the determinants of the disabled through the cross-section research by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This article used data from the 2011 investigation of actual condition for the Disabled, which is a representative of the disabled in Korea. For statistical analysis, this paper used PASW statistics 18.0 (SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA). Analysis of frequency, descriptive statistic and multiple regressions were conducted. The level of significance was set up as 0.05. As the result, we found that life satisfaction of the disabled was influenced by all factors such as factor in discrimination, socioeconomic factors, disability and health factor. Therefore, we think that the government needs to prepare a systemic method for extending right of the disabled and improving rehabilitation and independent living.

This study was done to investigate the effects of cinema therapy on schizophrenia patients' depression and self esteem. The research design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Participants were recruited from two mental health facilities in J city(20 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group). The research was carried out from March to April, 2010. The cinema therapy was conducted seven times. After the cinema therapy, depression of schizophrenia patients in experimental group was lowered compared with that of patients in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-4.17, p<.001). After the cinema therapy, self esteem of schizophrenia patients in experimental group was improved compared with that of patients in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.77, p<.001). The results indicate that the cinema therapy was a useful program leading positive effects on depression and self esteem in schizophrenia patients.

Music Braille is essential and academic materials for the blind to learn and enjoy music. In Korea, National Library for the Disabled is the public institution for the manufacture digital music braille by the request and the center of music rehabilitation the disabled also make the digital music braille on a welfare level. However, most of braille libraries in Korea do have little music braille compared to other braille books. This paper reports the current situations how braille libraries including National library for the Disabled contain braille books, music brailles and digital music brailles to find out that the blinds can be provided exact informations about music brailles and digital music brailles so they can learn music with the right materials such as music brailles. In conclusion, the construction of Database for the digital music brailles is required and necessary for the blind to have better activities of music from the welfare and artistic point of view.

The aims of this study were to consist of the eccentric viewing training software based on Korean and to examine the effects on reading speed. The program was used the Korean stimuli by rapid serial visual presentation. Single-subject A-B-A' research design for 2 normally-sighted young adults was used to examine the effect. The reading speed data on short-sentence of participants showed a statistically significant result, as both data from the intervention period and post-training baseline period deviated more than 2 standard deviations from the pre-training baseline period. Through this study, we suggested that eccentric viewing training software based on Korean characters stimulation would allow clinician in Korea to improve reading skills of low vision individuals with central scotomas.

This study uses the life course perspective to analyze the health effects of care transition types on elderly persons who care for their spouses. To this end, the care transition types were divided into ① non-care→non-care, ② non-care→care, ③ care→care, and ④ care→non-care, and health was defined as physical health and the absence of depression. The study used the second through sixth datasets(2008-2016) from the Korea Longitudinal Study of Aging. This resulted in 10,199 observations from 3,987 persons, which were analyzed as a panel analysis model using the STATA16.0 program. The analysis found that physical health was lower in the non-care→care and care→non-care transition types than in the non-care→non-care type. Depression increased in the non-care→care and care→care types. These results suggest that practical and social measures are needed to improve physical health and depression in the elderly who are providing care for their spouses.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of muscle imbalance on motion of back squat. The isokinetic muscle strength of the 8 subjects was recorded for the knee flexion/extension by the cybex 770 dynamometer. Each subject performed 3 back squats with the long barbell with an intensity of 25% body weight(BW), 50%BW, 100%BW, 125%BW. During the back squat through the recorded kinematic data the subjects' maximum flexion and extension knee angle, center of mass displacement and V-COP were calculated for evaluation of the stability of the movement. For the statistical analysis independent t-test was used. Knee flexion angle and COM displacement are dominated by the reciprocal muscle ratio. V-COP factor was dominated by bilateral extension deficit. Based on the results we can know that as the intensity of the squat increased to a level control was difficult because the muscles' imbalance influenced the movement.

The development of information and communication technology(ICT) has made our lives more convenient and has caused many changes in various areas of our lives.. In particular, ICT enables information and physical accessibility of people with disabilities and eliminates the inconvenience of entry into the labor market, and ICT-based teleworking has improved employ-ability for people with disabilities by facilitating physical accessibility away from traditional work environments and job assignments. This paper presents some domestic and foreign cases of teleworking for the people with disabilities. Also it states several suggestions, as developing jobs in ICT field, educating and training of its field, and making related documents and supporting systems for activating ICT-based work environment and job placement.

This study aimed to analyze characteristics of employment and factors affecting of employment of elderly with disabilities. Data were analyzed using chi-square tests, regression analyses according to the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled in Korea. Participants were 452 elderly with disabilities. First, The employment group showed significantly mild disorder, higher health status, absent of chronic disorder, licenses, absent of public employment service, married, absent of basic living security recipient, higher level of household income compared to the unemployed group. Second, Factors affecting employment of elderly with disabilities included public employment service, level of household income. And multi-person factors were acceptance of disabilities and one-person factors were basic living security recipient. Base on these results, suggested for obtaining job of elderly with disabilities.
