아웃도어 재킷의 선호실태조사 및 디자인 프로토타입 (Investigation of Preference for Outdoor Jacket and Design Prototype)

  • This study had researched purchase trend and preference of jacket design in order to develop a prototype of an outdoor wear jacket that can be worn for a light outdoor activity targeting middle-aged men and women. An outdoor wear was purchased mostly in a permanent discount store and functionality such as activity and material was considered as important in addition to design. There was difference in ages for the jacket style, but in general, people preferred a wind protection jacket and men preferred black colors and women preferred red colors. For the design of jacket, both men and women had preferred a jacket that has moderate fitness with detachable hat and a zipper, and it was applied to the prototype. The jacket had applied different color in the armhole line that is connected to sleeve in order to make waist look slimmer and stretchable material was used to improve functionality in the armpit part.

아웃도어 브랜드의 지속가능한 성장을 위한 디자인 전략과 아우터 재킷 프로토타입 연구 (Design Strategy and Outer Jacket Prototype Study for Sustainable Growth of Outdoor Brands)

  • Considering the need for a clothing product design strategy for the sustainable growth of outdoor brands, this study analyzed an outdoor consumer survey applying selected sustainable elements, reflected the results in design planning, suggested prototypes, and presented a design strategy. The consumer survey was conducted from July 19 to July 25, 2022, and 216 respondents were used for analysis. As a result of the outdoor consumer survey analysis of selected sustainable elements, the most preferred outdoor design concept involved the keywords 'zero waste' and 'transformable design' from a sustainable economic perspective. An outer jacket design was then created focusing on these two keywords and a prototype was produced. The SCD (sustainability, consumer, designer) design strategy was presented as a strategy for sustainable growth of outdoor brands, and the key factors of this strategy are as follows: (a) application of sustainable design elements, (b) reflection of consumer opinions on sustainability, (c) designers' sustainable mindset and decisions.

녹색성장을 위한 기능성 재킷의 프로토타입에 관한 연구 (A Study of a Prototype Functional Jacket for Green Growth)

  • There is rising interest in green energy, energy efficient equipment, and products as countries show increased interest in 'Low Carbon and Green Growth'. The cellphone has become one of the essential influences on modem people beyond the meaning itself by the release and the commercialization of the Smartphone. Thus, it considers that the introduction of fashion for cellphones and digital devices to be always on should be a quite natural design attempt for humans to wear clothes at all times. In addition, outdoor activities increase as the population enjoys more sports and leisure time that requires the development of specialized outwear such as the development of a functional jacket. This specialized field is associated with higher value-added businesses. This study made a prototype of a functional jacket equipped with solar cells that established a system of a fashion design that is harmonious with green growth as a plan to measure of fashion design for green growth. The objects of this study are as follow: First, the study seeks a design method for green growth. Second, it makes a prototype to present the improved design method. Third, it presents the establishment of a design system that considers green growth and the concrete measures practical for the system. It established the design system and made the prototype of functional jacket equipped with solar cells, LED, and digital devices as a measure of design for green growth based on the improvement plan of the design that the problems had been supplemented for. Previous studies were mainly about prototypes that attempted to equip mobile digital devices as a study of smart wear; however, this study leaves the issue of power supply for a follow-up study that is different from preceding studies.

기능성 아웃도어 웨어의 등산용 남성 재킷 프로토타입 디자인 (Development of the Design Prototype for Funtional Men's Outdoor-Wear Jacket)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a design prototype of outdoor-wear which is suitable for trekking. For achieving this purpose, 6 factors(bodice, sleeve, hood, pockets, opening, hem-line) considered for clothing function were selected, classified, and complemented based on the survey of literature and the research of 185 designs in 12 outdoor-wear brands. The results are as follows; The removable hood and 4DM sleeve style with the elastic band and velcro for the cuffs was the most preferred in the detail design on the brand research. And also the ventilation function and 1 or 2 diagonal in-seam pocket, covered zipper was preferred. Based on this result, two design prototypes of men's outdoor-wear for trekking were suggested; jacket 1 has a slim waist line and a hip length. Front opening has a zip and placket for windproof effect. There is a detachable hood with stopper around the head line. 4DM sleeve and elastic band inserted at the end of sleeve, so that prevent the hem-line raising. Two inseam pocket is placed slightly diagonal. Jacket 2 is a hood jacket with a york. The Jacket has a little roomier in waist and a hip length. Front opening is fastened by a waterproof zip. It has a 4DM sleeve and a princess line to make it placed two pocket which have ventilation functionality.

  • 본 연구는 이미지 센서를 통한 입력 기술 중 칼라 코드 입력 기술을 기반으로 한 웨어러블 컴퓨터를 디자인 및 구현하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 실생활 응용 서비스 애플리케어션을 위해 도출된 컨셉 디자인으로부터 시작하여 실물 모델을 개발한 후 평가 및 수정 단계를 거쳐 최종 모델을 완성하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 거쳐 물리적 인터페이스와 의류로써의 가치를 고려한 칼라 코드 기반 '페트롤 재킷'형 웨어러블 컴퓨터가 디자인 및 구현되었으며 이러한 개발 과정은 의류학 및 인지과학의 이론을 근간으로 한 것이다. 본 연구에서 개발된 결과물은 기존의 하드웨어 중심의 웨어러블 컴퓨터를 의류에 접목 시키기 위한 초기 모형으로서 이는 앞으로 보다 인간 친화적인 웨어러블 컴퓨터를 개발하기 위한 초석이 될 것이라 전망된다.

아웃도어 웨어 기능성 요구에 따른 스마트 아웃도어 재킷 설계시안 (Draft Proposal of Smart Outdoor Wear upon the Outdoor Wear Functionality Demand)

  • This study revealed the results related to the functionality of outdoor wear required when man and women in their 30s to 50s engage in outdoor activities. Based on the results of the survey, we proposed composition draft for a smart outdoor jacket with main functions of GPS device and light-emitting device using solar cell and EL. Absorption and release of sweat, functionality regarding rain and wind, and lightweightness, etc. from material functionalities of outdoor wear were found to be important. From function required in clothing for outdoor activity, location tracking, night glow, and lighting functions were found to be most important. For results investigating the necessity of the jacket's location tracking function and lighting function using solar cell, high scores of 3.9~4.0 were given. Purchase intentions for smart outdoor jacket with location tracking and lighting functions devised by this study were fairly positive and most responses indicated that the appropriate purchase price was between 200,000 to 300,000 won while possible problems of this smart outdoor jacket were listed in the order of washing inconvenience, high price, device weight, and discomfort in movement. The draft proposal to integrate with wearable devices for smart outdoor jacket prototype is as follows: Solar cell has been attached to the upper arm but placed inside a transparent pocket which has been detachable for washing convenience while the solar cell and controller have been integrated into a single unit. Using frequent movement exhibited by the arms, EL has been attached along the center line of the raglan sleeve for easy spotting when used as an emergency signal or for night lighting function during outdoor activity. GPS has been attached on the left sleeve so that the person can bend the left arm inward and operate the GPS screen with the right hand while walking or running outdoors.

웨어러블 테크놀로지를 기반으로 한 스마트 재킷디자인 연구 (A Study on the Smart Jacket Design Based on the Concept of Wearable Technology)

  • With the help of the cooperative efforts made in the interdisciplinary studies among the different fields of computers, textiles and computer in the modem society based on knowledge-information, Smart Clothing, which is the combination of wearable Technology and clothing has been drawn. This study is to inspect the design of Smart school uniform, which if based on Wearable Technology, to meet the need for the PDG(Post Digital Generation) who want to require rapid and the convenient information. This study is aimed to quest for the direction of study in Wearable Technology through theoretical studies made in the field the Computer information communications Engineering, seminars in the field of Smart Textile and documentary study. In addition to them, this study is to search for the value for the school uniform in the PDG who are a group of potential consumers for the Smart Clothing, the environment in digitalized life and the need for the Wearable Technology. Based on this research, the concept of design reflecting the need for the characteristic and functions in the PDG was drawn and Design Prototype of Smart Jacket on the base of Wearable Technology was presented.

다기능형(多技能形) 여행용(旅行用) 재킷의 디자인 개발(開發) (A Development of Designs for the Multifunctional Traveler's Jacket)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze critical needs and demands for the multifunctional traveler's jacket and to develop design prototypes based on the findings from the analysis. A self-report questionnaire with the stimuli was applied. Total 163 travelers were purposively sampled for the survey and the data were analyzed quantitatively as well as qualitatively. The results were as follows: 1. The respondents were divided into three groups - "digital-functionality-needs group", "non-digitalfunctionality-needs group", "no-need group", according to their preference and needs for the multifunctional traveler's jacket. 2. The three groups were analyzed (1) to have meaningful differences in experiencing inconvenience in their traveling, (2) to have statistically significant differences in their needs for the multifunctional traveler's jacket, (3) while some imperative consensus in their needs were found in part. 3. Based on the findings of the analysis mentioned above, three design prototypes were developed and visualized with conclusion.

MP3 스마트웨어 제품 상용화를 위한 디자인 프로토타입 개발 및 사용성 평가 연구 (Usability Evaluation and Development of Design Prototyping for MP3 Smart Clothing Product)

  • 본 연구에서는 MP3스마트웨어 상용화를 위한 디자인 프로토타입을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 MP3 스마트웨어는 MP3 플레이어, 리모컨 모듈, 이어폰이 하나의 키트(One-kit) 형태로 되어 있으며 조립과 분리가 용이하다. 개발된 의류는 재킷타입의 MP3-YSJ(Yonsei Smart Jacket)와 사파리타입의 MP3-YSS(Yonsei Smart Safari)의 2종류의 MP3스마트웨어 였다. 2종류의 스마트웨어를 대상으로 한 두 차례의 사용성 평가가 각각 모듈별 평가와 항목별 평가로 진행되었다. 모듈별 평가는 외관, 소재, 음악컨트롤러, 이어폰/스피커, 커넥터였고 항목별 평가는 사회적 수용성,착용감,유용성,관리용이성,안전성을 평가하였다. MP3-YSJ 1.0과 MP3-YSS 1.0을 대상으로 한 1차 사용성 평가에서는 모듈별 평가는 전체적으로 긍정적인 결과를 보여주었다. 또한 항목별 평가에서는 MP3-YSJ 1.0와 MP3-YSS 1.0모두 다른 항목에 비해 사회적 수용성이 약간 낮게 평가되었고, 커넥터의 관리 용이성과 음악컨트롤러의 사회적 수용성이 낮게 나타났다. 2차 사용성 평가는 1차 사용성 평가 결과를 반영하여 개발된 제품을 대상으로 실시하였다. MP3-YSS 2.0은 음악 컨트롤러의 사회적 수용성과 관리용이성, 커넥터의 관리용이성이 개선이 필요한 항목으로 밝혀졌고, MP3-YSS 2.0의 경우에는 음악컨트롤러로의 사회적 수용성, 커넥터의 사회적 수용성, 소재의 관리용이성이 개선이 필요한 항목으로 나타났다. 특히 사용자는 키패드의 배치 때문에 사회적 수용성 측면에서 불편을 느꼈다. 음악컨트롤러의 사회적 수용성 문제를 보완하기 위해서는 음악컨트롤러의 키패드 인터페이스에 대해 보다 구체적인 연구가 필요하다.
