The Optimal Inventory Modeling and The Cost Sensitivity Analysis with Reducing Inventory Investment (재고투자 감축에 따른 재고모형과 비용 감도 분석)

  • The business cycle during a recession leads to negative effects on raising funds and operations management of company. In particular, the company with many inventories in the recession causes liquidity problem. Which leads to frustration in the competitive strategy management. In this case the company experiencing cash or liquidity problems attempts to reduce its investment in inventory. However, reducing inventory investment makes problems to increase inventory operating costs. This paper presents sensitivity of total cost compared to the size for reducing inventory investment. This will guarantee the relevance of the reducing inventory investment. Optimal Inventory levels also may be required to be less than the optimal levels without reduction on inventory investments.

  • 본 논문은 내륙 운송 체계 하에서 공 컨테이너의 효율적인 재고관리 문제에 대하여 다루고자 한다. 그리고 실제 컨테이너 선사가 공 컨테이너 운영 관리에 있어서 예측하기 힘든 고객의 수요 및 공급 등의 불확실한 요소들을 고려하기 위하여 공 컨테이너의 수요와 공급을 확률변수로 가정하였다. 이러한 가정을 바탕으로 시뮬레이션을 통하여 재고유지비용, 임대비용 및 총 기대 비용을 추정하고 (R, s, S) 재고 정책을 기본 재고정책으로 한 가정 하에 GA (Genetic Algorithm)를 사용하여 총 기대 비용을 최소화 하는 주문, 발주 정책을 도출하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, it shows optimal inventory level of bicycle sharing service terminal by maintaining the lowest costs. As the interest to environment and exhaustion of resource increases globally, investment to sustainable transportation increases around advanced countries and interest to efficient transportation, managing and consuming of vehicle increases also. Vehicle sharing service is a model of rental car where customer rent cars for short periods of time often by the hour and its users are increasing for the reason that it is more convenient than car rent. In addition, bicycle sharing service is one of the major parts in vehicle sharing program and many of country are already managing it. This paper proposes optimal inventory levels of vehicle sharing service's terminal by using simulation calculating operation costs of vehicle sharing service.

  • An operational strategy for inventory control on finished goods in the distribution system has been given attention to many enterprises and many studies regarding this field have been done and is also on-going currently. It handling large scale of smallness type are so the requisition of customer which is various that over it continues more full scale merit. therefore, It is a tendency that many of enterprise is handling small scale of smallness type for environment change confrontation. but It is not easy for the enterprise to In customer demand diversification suiting because too need many cost. In addition, at enterprise charge extra weight because remainder inventory is causes of defective stock for a inefficient problem solution. this paper is rationalization of stock cost decrease for comparison evaluation of small scale quantify handling of singleness type and small scale quantity handling of largeness type.

  • The duty-free industry before COVID-19 has continuously grown since 2000, along with the increase of demand in tourism industry. To cope with the increased demand, the duty free companies have kept the strategies which focused on the sales volume. Therefore, they have developed the ways to increase the volume and capacity, not the efficient operations. In the most of previous research, however, authors have proposed the better strategies for marketing and supporting policies. It is very hard to find the previous research which dealt with the operations like logistics and inventory management. Therefore, in this study, it has been predicted the future demand of frequently purchased items in airport duty free shops based on the estimated number of departing passengers by the linear regression, which concluded with the appropriate inventory level. In addition, it has been analyzed the expected effects by introducing the inventory management policy considering the cost and efficiency of operations. Based on the results of this study, it may be possible to reduce total cost and improve productivity by predicting the excessive inventory problems at duty-free shops and improving cycles of supplying items.

  • Vendor Managed Inventory(VMI) is a distribution channel system where the inventory at the retailer is monitored and managed by the manufacturer or vendor. By pushing the decision making responsibility further up the supply chain and centralizing the replenishment decision, the vendor can help the entire supply chain be more competitive. The purpose of this research is to explore the factors influencing the adoption of VMI by Korean manufacturers. This research proposes the IT readiness, operating cost, and information sharing as antecedents of burden for VMI, and collected the survey responses from the small-to-medium manufacturers. The statistical results indicate that only the operating cost has a significant impact on the adoption of VMI. However it has also been found that the IT readiness and information sharing have a significant effect on the operating cost. Thus indirectly influence the adoption of VMI. As a conclusion, the academic and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

  • 수리가능 제품은 가격 비싸고 중요성이 크면서 새 제품을 구매하기 어려운 부품을 의미하며, 항공기 또는 선박의 엔진 등을 들 수 있다. 수리가능 제품에 대하여 고장이 발생할 경우 가용성을 유지하기 위하여 즉지 교체하여야 하고, 교체된 부품은 수리에 들어가야 한다. 이러한 문제에 대한 통제 시스템은 시스템의 효율성을 결정하는 중요한 요소이기 때문에, 다양한 시스템 구성에 대하여 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 우선 중앙 수리기지와 여러 지역 수리기지를 대상으로 하고 있으며, 물류량의 변화에 따라 중앙 수리기지와 지역 수리기지 간의 효과적인 운영 방안을 고려하고 있다. 각 지역 수리기지는 수리 운영 능력이 제한되어 있는 것으로 가정하고 있으며, 한정된 수의 여분의 제품을 유지하고 있다. 중앙 수리기지는 여분을 제품을 보유하거나 유지하지 않고 오직 수리 작업만을 수행하고 있다. 유한 가동에 대한 효율적인 알고리즘은 이러한 상황에 대하여 운영 능력의 한계를 고려하면서 효율성을 최대화하기 위하여 개발되었다. 지역 수리기지에서는 제품의 고장이 발생하는 속도와 현재 보유한 제품 수량에 따라 효율성이 바뀌고, 시스템이 보유할 수 있는 재고량과 수리할 수 있는 능력의 한계가 제한되어 있다. 대기행렬이론에 기반하여 고장율과 수리율에 의한 비용 함수를 정의하고, 최적해를 구할 수 있는 IMES(지능형 다단물류 시스템)을 개발하였다. 총 예상 재고량에 의한 재고 비용과 품절 비용을 최소화함으로써 최적의 보유 재고수량을 찾아내고 실제로 사용자가 활용할 수 있는 시간 내에 해를 구할 수 있는 효율성을 갖춘 알고리듬을 개발하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 전체 시스템의 총비용을 최소화하는 것이며, 예제를 통하여 알고리듬을 묘사하고 수치예제를 통한 실험을 실시하여 제안 알고리듬이 정확하고 효율적임을 보였다. 제안된 알고리즘에 의하여 매우 정확하고 효율적인 계산 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 이 방법을 통해 신속하고 정확하게 많은 문제를 해결할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 냉동창고 재고관리 프로그램은 폐쇄 클라이언트 서버 환경에서 운용되고 있어 유지보수에 많은 비용과 인력이 소요될 뿐만 아니라 소비자인 화주에게 제공되는 서비스가 전무하며, 기본적인 수 발주를 위해서 팩스나 전화를 이용하므로 업무가 비효율적이며 오류와 부정확성 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 다양한 모바일 운영체제에서 화주에게 서비스를 제공하는 모바일 웹앱을 설계하고 구현한다. 구현된 시스템에서 화주는 다양한 모바일기기를 이용하여 수 발주 업무, 재고량 조회 등의 서비스를 제공받아 업무를 처리할 수 있어 사용자만족도를 향상시켰다. 또한 모바일 운영체제에 독립적인 웹앱의 형태로 제공되어 사용자의 다양한 모바일 기기에서 운영될 수 있으며 실시간으로 유지보수를 제공할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Optimizing Total Transport Cost Incurred under Specific Port System: With a Case of Managing POSCO-owned Berths (특수항만구조하에서의 물류비용 최적화에 관한 연구 - 포항제철의 원료부두 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper primarily deals with a decision-making for determining the number of voyages in each ship size under a specific port structure in order to minimize the total transport cost consisting of transport cost at sea, queuing cost in port, and inventory cost in yard. As a result of computer simulation using queuing model characterized by inter-arrival time distribution, we were able to find out some combination of voyage numbers of 3 ship-size(50,000-ton, 100,000-ton, and 200,000-ton), where the total transport cost can be minimized under a specific port structure. The simulation model also allows us to figure out any trade-off relationship among sea transport cost, queuing cost in port, and inventory cost in yard. Put it differently, an attempt to reduce the sea transport cost by increasing the number of voyages of the largest ship size, the transport cost incurred in both port and yard is hypothesized to be increased and vice versa. Consequently, Port managers are required to adjust the number of annual number of voyages allocated in each ship size, put into the sea lines for importing raw materials, in order to optimize the transport costs incurred under the specific port system. We may consider a net present value(NPV) model for performing an economic feasibility analysis on port investment project. If a total discounted net benefit, including cost savings, exceeds the initial investment for an additional berth construction, then we accept the port investment project. Otherwise, we reject the proposed port investment plan.
