실리콘 잉고트의 절단공정에서 발생하는 폐실리콘 슬러지는 실리콘과 실리콘카바이드 등의 유가자원이 함유되어 있으며, 이 중 실리콘 분말은 실리콘 화합물인 알콕시실란 등을 제조하는데 원료로 사용이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 폐실리콘 슬러지로부터 분리, 합성된 사에 톡시실란(TEOS)을 원료로 이용하여 실리카 나노분말을 합성하였다. TEOS 원료물질을 외부 혼합형 이류체 노즐을 이용하여 미세액적으로 분무하고 화염 속으로 도입시키고 화염열분해 반응을 진행시켜 실리카 나노분말을 합성하였다. 합성된 실리카 나노입자의 특성은 투과형 전자현미경 및 BET에 의하여 입자형상 및 평균 입자크기가 분석되었다. 주요 공정변수인 분산공기의 압력, 반응가스의 조성을 변화시켜 실험한 결과 평균크기가 $9{\sim}68nm$인 실리카 나노분말을 제조하였다.

RELAP5/MOD3.1.2을 이용하여 영광3/4호기의 부분충수운전중 정지냉각계통 기능상실사고를 모의하였다. 이 해석은 노심에서 발생되는 증기를 가압기 Manway로 배출시켜 노심을 냉각할 경우, 증기발생기 2차측 냉각재 유무에 따르는 계통거동을 분석한 것이다. 해석결과, 노심에서의 비등은 사고후 약 6분 경에 발생하였으며, 증기발생기 2차측에 냉각재가 없는 경우는, 냉각재가 채워져 있는 경우보다 0.16 bar 더 높은 1.8 bar의 계통 압력을 나타내어, 현재의 운전절차서에 제시한 RWST의 수위 (70%)로는 중력주입이 불가능한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이런 해석결과를 토대로 할 때, 부분충수 운전중 증기발생기 2차측 냉각재는 최소한 한 대에는 충수하고, RWST 수위 제한치도 84 % 이상으로 증가시키는 운전 절차서의 개정이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

국토의 3%를 차지하면서 우리들의 삶 속에 함께 있었음에도 불구하고 갯벌은 오랫동안 우리의 관심밖에서 매립, 간척으로 파괴되거나 각종 오염물의 유입으로 훼손되어 왔다. 갯벌은 그동안 조개류나 양식등을 통한 수산물을 획득하는 것 이외에는 질퍽한 뻘이 가득한 땅, 쓸모없는 땅으로 인식되어 왔다. 주로 서남해안에 위치해 있는 갯벌은 간척의 대상으로서 주목을 받아왔고 계화지구, 영산강 지구, 남양만 지구, 아산만 지구, 천수만 AB지구, 영종도 신공항 지구, 시화지구, 새만금 지구 등 강하구를 비롯한 주요한 갯벌의 대부분이 간척되었거나 간척중이다. 갯벌에 대한 중요성과 그 가치에 대한 인식은 최근 몇 년 사이에 급속히 확산되고 있으며 지난해 12월 29일 통과된 습지보전법에 의하여 정부는 갯벌에 대한 관리방안 마련과 조사활동 계획등을 수립하고 있다. a99년 이번 5월 10i¡18일에 있었던 제7차 람사협약당사국총회가 진행되는 동안 우리 나라의 갯벌은 국제적 관심사로 부각되기도 하였다. 그동안 우리 나라의 갯벌이 어떻게 인식되어 왔고 이용하였으며, 특히 농지와 산업용지 확보라는 측면에서 추진되었던 간척사업의 문제점 등을 새만금 종합개발 사업을 중심으로 하여 살펴보기로 하고, 먼저, 갯벌에 관한 일반적인 내용과 우리 나라 갯벌을 이해한 후 새만금종합개발사업에 논하도록 한다.

지난 5년간 안테나 시험 측정 지원 사업으로 4,570건의 안테나 시험 측정 지원과 1,706건의 기술 상담을 실시하였다. 지원 분야별로는 방송용 안테나에 7.5%, 통신용 안테나 지원에 62.5%, 연구 개발 및 전파 분야에 30%의 결과를 나타냈다. 이러한 실적을 경제적 효과로 산출해 보면, 안테나 시험 측정을 위한 회원사의 직접 시험 수수료 비용으로 242억 원이 절감되었으며, 총 130여개 중소기업 회원들의 개발 비용 절감 효과는 5년간 3,500억여 원에 이루고 있다. 특히 매 회마다 3일간 실시되는 집중 안테나 기술교육을 20여회 실시하였으며, 이를 통해 약 800여명의 안테나 기술 전문가를 배출하였다.

Organic solvent resistant hollow fiber membranes were fabricated via a thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method using Polyketone polymer, a material with excellent resistance to organic solvents. The PEG300, DMSO₂ and Glycerine called the "green solvents" were used as diluents for TIPS method. The spherulite structure was formed with DMSO₂ by S-L phase separation behavior whereas the bicontinuous structures were formed with PEG300 and Glycerine, respectively. The morphology of the PK hollow fiber membranes was investigated using SEM. The pure water permeability and the durability test were conducted to understand the permeation properties of PK hollow fiber membranes. The tensile strength test was conducted for the property of mechanical strength. In this study, the fabrication of PK hollow fiber membranes with various diluents was discussed to understand the correlation between diluent and polymer in detail.

Current environment in civil and construction industry has changed to actively adopt construction management (CM) in various areas. While it is found that exemplary CM projects have been carried out in many civil engineering sectors, concrete system framework has not been suggested due to ambiguous boundary between CM and supervision system, unclear perception of CM's role, and inexperienced organization and regime. This paper investigated the challenges faced in civil and construction industry, and analyzed the strategy that could improve the current immature CM system by conducting questionnaire survey from experts in various construction sectors. The results could provide valuable information that can involve diverse opinions and view points in project participants.

This study aims to elucidate the content and format of school safety standards to clarify the roles and responsibilities of schools in realizing school safety. Toward this end, difficulties in operating school safety standards at various sites were classified into four small groups with a total of 26 educational administrators, superintendents, and researchers to listen to the opinions of experts in the field and analyze related data. As a result, we comprehensively analyzed in-depth interviews with the respondents who are working at provincial offices of education regarding the proposed school safety standards. We also analyzed the necessity of developing these standards and examining the appropriateness of their content and format. Results were derived from four aspects, including the field applicability of such standards. The study draws the following conclusions. First, it focuses on setting the direction for the development of school safety standards. Second, it highlights the exploration of the system and content of these standards. Third, it pertains to the preparation of a draft of these standards.

Aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva on mostly congenital disease that develops more frequently in Orientals, is very low in incidence. In most cases, aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva extends to intracardiac and results in ruptures into the right ventricle or atrium. The likelihood of extracardiac aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva is very low. Cases of extracardiac aneurysm are usually accompanied by aortic regurgitation and can cause right ventricle outflow tract obstruction, myocardial ischemia, and myocardial infarction due to compression by aneurysm. Since the aneurysm can rupture in the intrapericardium and cause cardiogenic shock or sudden death, definite diagnosis and management are important. If confirmed, it is preferable operform a surgical correction. We report here, with a literature review, a case where myocardial ischemia and aortic egurgitation caused by aneurysm developed in the left coronary and noncoronary sinus, and were surgically corrected with satisfactory esults.

The goal of this study is to analyse the effects of financial support by governmental on KERRP (Korea Emission Reduction Registration Project) in the case of descending clock auction. Result shows that about 60% of total reduction (612,000ton) can be achieved at the price of 8,000 Won/ton with the budget amount of 5 billion Won, if the benefit from energy saving by the project is not included. Also 100% of total reduction (1,015,713ton) can be achieved at the price of 4,900Won/ton, if the benefit from energy saving by the project is included. Because most projects get some benefits from the energy saving occurred by project performance, the financial support by government may not be needed. However, this type of support would be meaningful from the aspect of encouraging GHG (Green House Gas) reduction to be prepared for the potential obligation of national GHG reduction from 2013.

This paper investigates the short- and long- run relationship among Korean, U.S. and Japanese construction indices. We conducted the Johansen's cointegration tests on the hypotheses that the construction indices of three countries we related in the long-run as well as in the short-run. The test results show that there exists no long-run relationship among three countrie's construction indices. In addition, the cointegrating relation did not exist for three countrie's stock market indices and five major Korean construction firms. It fumed out that the U.S. indices Granger-causes Japanese and Korean indices. This finding implies that there may exist international diversification benefit through forming a portfolio from these indices.
