Study about a public sign in Cheon - An station (천안역에 있어서 공공사인에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the sign system, the types and distribution of sign boards, around Cheon-An railway station which is a representative public space, and it gives a classification of the system through investigating them by types and location. Some points are issued on the kind of the system established, the location of the information, and the clustered plantation of them. Thus, it is required to differentiate sign systems in each section, to distribute them uniformly rather than aggregated densely, and to place them at pertinent locations with the analysis of people's behavior avoiding improvised decision. In conclusion, pedestrians' needs on them should be analyzed first no matter where the sign is installed so that it is possible to develop tranquil atmosphere for people to use through providing proper information.

Characteristics of Sign Distribution in Underground Space (지하공간에 있어서 사인류의 분포특성)

  • We Studied the method of structuring the sign system for pedestrians in the underground space by investigating and analyzing the sign system at Tae-jon Underground Commercial Area in Korea by 1) classifying the signs by types and comparing their numder for each type in sections, 2) classiflying the signs by the points of installation, types, functions and contents of information and comparing their numbers, 3) classifying the signs by their height and comparing by the points of installation, and 4) classifying the signs by their points of installation finding patterns. As a result, we found out that the current pedestrian signs in Tae-jon Underground Commercial Area could by classified into those installted with a certain regularity and those concentrated in at certain points. We also found out that there were many problems with the current signs system. The big gap of the type and numble of the signs, concentration of the signs at the gate (entrance), and the big gap of the function of the signs by their points of installation. And the gap of the signs by the number of installation is big between the North side and the South side. Most of signs concentrated in the South side show the problems of installation attached by the types and quantity of information. We suggest that type of information has consistency by posting of signs, at the same time, the necessary information should be offered in order for the pedestrians to easily recognize as they more in the Underground space.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented black box terminal with wireless communication function and cloud server for more efficient usage of black box video. Our system can store and manage all vehicle black box videos so public institutions can select videos with various conditions such as object, time-based and location based like integrated CCTV management system.

  • If it were the occurrence of fire by electricity with the rapid growth of economy, it would be serious damage for nation that effect human life and properties. To prevent electrical fires, it was basic countermeasure that make detail statistics classified by the source, place etc. with examining correct cause of fire. In this paper, we analuzed the present condition of fire occurrence of the lastest ten years and classified fires by the source, place, month in 2006. In addition our corporation staff execute in-depth and professional research on the actual state of electrics fire by visiting fire stations fire of the whole country for 8,554 electric fires in 2005. I expect this thesis to be used for preventing electric fires and providing a stepping stone on correct production of fire statistics.

Development of Location Image Analysis System design using Deep Learning

  • The research study was conducted for development of the advanced image analysis service system based on deep learning. CNN(Convolutional Neural Network) is built in this system to extract learning data collected from Google and Instagram. The service gets a place image of Jeju as an input and provides relevant location information of it based on its own learning data. Accuracy improvement plans are applied throughout this study. In conclusion, the implemented system shows about 79.2 of prediction accuracy. When the system has plenty of learning data, it is expected to predict various places more accurately.

  • 기존에는 Big Five Factor (BFF)를 이용하여 사람의 성격과 방문하는 장소 간의 관계를 분석하는 연구들이 많이 진행되었다. 본 연구에서는 성격뿐 아니라 sns 사용, 취미, 성별, 나이, 종교 등 다양한 요인을 추가하여 방문하는 장소에 영향을 미치는 요인을 찾고자 한다. 성격 데이터는 BFF 설문지로, 그 외 요인들은 본 연구팀이 직접 만든 설문지로 수집하였다. 방문하는 장소는 스마트폰 애플리케이션 SWARM을 이용하여 수집한 뒤 카테고리별로 분류하여 사용하였다. 총 17명의 참가자들이 약 3달간 모은 데이터를 사용하였다. 분석에는 앙상블 기법인 랜덤 포레스트를 사용하였다.

Analysis of Environmentally Responsible Behaviors based on a Typology of Activity Involvement and Place Attachment - Focuses on Visitors to Namhansanseong Provincial Park - (활동관여-장소애착 유형에 따른 환경책임행동분석 - 남한산성 도립공원 방문객을 대상으로 -)

  • The concepts of activity involvement(AI) and place attachment(PA) are useful for explaining the sustainable use of natural resources by humans. Although several studies have investigated the effects of AI and PA on environmental behaviors and found its implications, it has not examined the simultaneous effects of both AI and PA. Thus, the purpose of this study was to develop a typology of both AI and PA. This typology was used to explain the environmentally responsible behaviors of visitors. The study sample surveyed 587 users of the main trail in Namhansanseong Provincial Park The results were analyzed by frequency, reliability, factor analysis, cross-tabulation, T-test, correlation and ANOVA analysis. As a result, the typology identified four subgroups of hikers based on involvement in hiking and attachment to setting. Results also indicate that environmentally responsible behaviors do vary significantly across typology. In detail, general environmental behavior and specific environmental behavior were significantly different between the four groups. These finding suggests that PA seems to play a more powerful role than AI in relation to environmental behavior. While more involved and more attached hikers were more active in environmental behaviors, less involved and less attached hikers had a more passive attitude. In this respect, this study placed emphasis on the fact that the future resource management of tourism and outdoor recreation may be established based on its activity experience in certain place.

Patterns of Offensive Odor Compounds According to Blocks in Shiwha Industrial Complex (시화산업단지의 블록 별 악취유발물질 특성)

  • This research was conducted on characteristic of offensive odors in Shihwa industrial complex. Result of blocks distribution of TVOC indicates that mechanic block, site D, was the highest concentration (74 ppb). Chemistry block, site A, was the second highest concentration (50 ppb). Also, mixed blocks, metal blocks and park etc. were measured almost similar concentration about 30 ppb, but mixed block, site F, was the place where concentrations were the smallest. Average of TVOC was shown about 35 ppb concentration. Aldehydes including acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde and hydrogen sulfide concentrations were prevalent among offensive odors in Shihwa industrial complex. Comparing the offensive odor intensity mostly about acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde and hydrogen sulfide which contain high offensive odor intensity showed results that sites A, B (chemistry block) and site D, I (mechanic block) site H (metal block) have showed the intensity over 1. In the case of acetaldehyde, relatively the high odor intensities over '2' were able to obtain in many cases. The correlation coefficient (r) for hydrogen sulfide was 0.91, so that high positive correlation exists between offensive odor intensity and the hydrogen sulfide element. Butyraldehyde also showed high positive correlation coefficient, as 0.82. Correlation coefficient of acetaldehyde that had the highest value as offensive odor substance was 0.62, had somewhat correlation with offensive odor intensity.

A Study on Usage Behaviors and Place Attachment of Urban SSamji Park as a Neighborhood Space - Focused on Hanpyeong Park and Hanpyeom Park located in Capital Area- (근린공간으로서 도심지 쌈지공원의 이용행태와 장소애착에 관한 연구 - 수도권 지역의 한평공원 및 한뼘공원을 중심으로 -)

  • The concept of neighborhood parks has been used as the principle of forming a community in our society going through modern and contemporary times. The concept of neighborhood parks equipped with physical facilities has been discussed constantly regarding the roles and meanings of them. This study focuses on pocket parks which have been playing roles in improving environment through regeneration and forming regional communities based on that as neighborhood facilities. This author carried out field investigation on total 72 Hanpyeong Park and Hanpyeom Parks formed in the capital area and examined the significance of planning them and also their utility and residents and users' attachment to them through a survey. In this process, this researcher has been able to draw following conclusions. First, according to the demographic characteristics of users, there is significant difference found by groups in terms of their place attachment to the parks. This implies that difference in the major types of residences supplied these days influences their intention to experience ecological space. Second, according to their educational background, there is significant difference found by groups regarding their place attachment to the parks. Third, according to user behavior, there are differences found in their place attachment to the parks and also detailed differences found by groups in terms of the frequency of use and duration of stay.
