This paper investigates how oil price changes have an impact on the Korean manufacturing production activities. For this investigation, we use a structural VAR motel to estimate impulse response functions of industrial production, producer price and export price to an oil price increase over manufacturing industries. It finds that in most manufacturing industries, an oil price increase leads to decreases in industrial productions and domestic prices except energy intensive industries, but to increases in industrial export prices except non-metallic (26), computers and offic machinery (30), electronic components, radio, television and communication (32) industries. This result explains that an oil price increase makes negative impacts on the manufacturing production activities not only through demand slowdown in the domestic markets but also through supply contraction in the export markets.

This paper analyzes the specific product-basis trade structure between Busan and Japan using the recent 2000-2007 trade statistical data. Several specific product-basis trade structure tests such as intra-industry trade index and market comparative advantage index show that there are considerable differences in intra-industry trade structure between Busan and Japan. Furthermore, this paper found that Busan has high quality vertical intra-industry trade and horizontal intra-industry trade as well as low quality vertical intra-industry trade in trading with Japan. While Busan has the market comparative disadvantage in automobile-part products in Japan. This paper also examines the contribution to trade balance of Busan's exports and the movement of Busan's comparative advantage patterns in Japan. The comparative advantage appears to have overall stability and convergence properties using symmetric indices.

Medical imaging modalities to image either anatomical structure or functional processes have developed along somewhat independent paths. Functional images with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET) are playing an increasingly important role in the diagnosis and staging of malignant disease, image-guided therapy planning, and treatment monitoring. SPECT and PET complement the more conventional anatomic imaging modalities of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. When the functional imaging modality was combined with the anatomic imaging modality, the multimodality can help both identify and localize functional abnormalities. Combining PET with a high-resolution anatomical imaging modality such as CT can resolve the localization issue as long as the images from the two modalities are accurately coregistered. Software-based registration techniques have difficulty accounting for differences in patient positioning and involuntary movement of internal organs, often necessitating labor-intensive nonlinear mapping that may not converge to a satisfactory result. These challenges have recently been addressed by the introduction of the combined PET/CT scanner and SPECT/CT scanner, a hardware-oriented approach to image fusion. Combined PET/CT and SPECT/CT devices are playing an increasingly important role in the diagnosis and staging of human disease. The paper will review the development of multi modality instrumentations for clinical use from conception to present-day technology and the application software.

The development of modern technology has rapidly grown the field of wearable devices. Wearable equipments should satisfy low power consumption and small/lightweight because of characteristics of body wearing. In this paper, an overview of wearable equipments is explained, and wearable device market is investigated. In addition, we investigate developed technology of wearable components, which is divided into component and communication technology. Meanwhile, a smart HSE system is required to meet the demand of the society for the serious industrial accident. To address this issue, we propose an interactive method between the wearable component and the HSE system, which are expected to be effective in safety management. As a detailed case study, a risk scenario is made with risk factors in welding workshop, and then we propose an interactive method between a wearable component and an HSE system that can reduce the risk. This proposed method is useful to achieve high level of worker's safety.

재난안전은 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않고 재난 발생은 그 끝이 없습니다. 그래서 항상 재난에 대비하고 관련 규칙을 철저히 준수해야 합니다. 설마 하는 방심이 누적되어 불시에 대형 참사가 발생하며 이러한 재난이 발생하고 난 후에 책임공방과 과실을 따져봐야 이미 발생한 재난의 시련은 이미 돌이킬 수 없습니다. 그동안 발생한 대형 참사를 통하여 배운 교훈은 일사불란한 통합지휘체계에 의한 재난 관리 및 재난 대응 시스템이 절실히 필요하다는 사실입니다. 그러나 아직까지도 한반도의 산간오지 및 도서 지역을 커버하는 음성 그룹통신 기반의 재난안전통신망이 제대로 구축되어 있지 않으며, 이러한 상황에서 정부는 음성과 영상 그룹통신이 가능한 멀티미디어 방식의 PSLTE 구축을 3년 내에 전국을 커버하는 재난안전통신망으로 구축할 계획을 발표하였지만 이에 대한 기술표준과 상용화 장비 등이 구현되어 있지 않아 3년 내 전국망 구축이 쉽지 않다는 전망이 나오고 있습니다. 객관적 입장에서 PS-LTE 재난망의 개념, 표준화 방향과 추진 일정, 재난안전통신망의 문제점, 시장선점을 위한 원천기술, 국내시장 활성화 방안 그리고 기타 재난 경보방송 서비스에 대하여 살펴보겠습니다. 이번만큼은 어떠한 재난이 발생하더라도 신속하고 정확하게 그리고 일사불란하게 국가재난에 대응하는 현존 최고의 재난안전통신망 구축이 완벽하게 이루어지기를 간절히 바랍니다.

최근 사물인터넷(IoT) 시장의 급격한 성장과 함께 적용 서비스 분야도 급격하게 늘어나고 있다. 다양한 객체와 인터넷의 연결로 무수히 많은 서비스가 제공되고 있으며 기업 및 공공기관은 이를 활용하여 다양한 콘텐츠를 개발하고 있다. 하지만 IoT인프라의 급격한 범위 확장 및 활용 표준화가 이루어지지 않았고, 이에 따라 인프라 프로세스의 혼란을 야기할 수 있다. 이는 내 외부적인 위협의 증가로 이어진다. 따라서 사물인터넷 기술이 현재 시장보다 활성화 되고 실 서비스 적용 분야가 증가할수록 제도적, 물리적, 기술적인 취약점이 원인이 되어 공격자는 사물인터넷 단말기 내부에 악성코드를 심어 원격 통제를 하거나, 일정 무선 주파수를 동기화 하여 스니핑이나 스푸핑 등의 공격으로 데이터 변조의 위협이 존재한다. 본 연구를 통해 콘텐츠 정보제공의 주 목적으로 활용되는 미들웨어장비인 Bluetooth 4.0 기반의 저전력 비콘(Beacon)의 기능을 활용한 서비스에서 발생될 수 있는 내재적 위협으로부터 정책적, 기술적, 물리적 통제 및 대응 방안을 제안하였다.

최근 세계적으로 무인비행체인 드론(Drone)에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 아직 우리나라의 드론시장 현황은 촬영 장비 또는 어른들의 장난감(Kidult)이라는 타이틀을 벗어던지지 못한 채 극히 제한적인 분야에만 국한되어 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 드론 시장에서 현재까지는 활성화되지 않은 구조 및 방범용 분야에 중점을 두었으며 이에 대한 드론 설계 및 프로토 타입 개발에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 실제로 본 연구진행을 위해 드론제작과 관련이 있는 공학계열 학생들을 위한 드론제작 교육을 단기집중과정으로 실시하였다. 이후 창업동아리를 결성하여 현재 활발하게 개발활동 중에 있으며 창업활성화와 관련된 각종 사업 등을 통해 향후 창업으로의 연계까지 기대해볼 수 있다.

지난달 아르헨티나 최양부 대사 초청으로 브라질 및 아르헨티나를 방문할 기회가 있었다. 아주 편협한 지식으로 가보지도 않은 남미를 과소 평가하고 있었던 것은 아닌지 모른다. 처음 가본 남미였지만 우리 벤처기업들에게는 기회의 땅이 분명했다. 브라질과 아르헨티나는 아직 우리와 같은 IT 관련 인프라를 갖추지는 못했다. 하지만 넓은 국토 때문에 모바일 관련 기술은 매우 고무적으로 그 수요가 급증하고 있는 상황이다. 발 빠른 우리 벤처기업 중에는 브라질 현지에서 휴대폰을 생산하겠다고 나선 곳도 있지만 아직도 남미는 우리에게는 먼 나라에 불과하다. 적어도 4억이 넘는 인구에 1인당 GDP가 2003년 기준으로 멕시코는 6111달러, 브라질은 2821달러, 아르헨티나는 3513달러에 불과하다. 하지만 중요한 것은 이들 GDP의 상당 부분은 극소수의 부유층이 소유하고 있다는 점이다. 따라서 우리의 IT 기술이 파고들 시장은 얼마든지 있다. 특히 모바일관련 솔루션이나 휴대폰, 그리고 보안 관련 장비, 이제 막 보급이 시작된 국민 PC 등 다양한 분야에서 시장 공략이 가능하다고 본다.

인터넷의 급속한 확산은 기존 시장의 개념을 확대, 변화시키고 이러한 변화된 시장에서 기업은 새로운 비즈니스 패러다임의 변화에 적응하지 못하면 경쟁력을 확보할 수 없는 상황에 처하게 되었다. 기업의 비즈니스 패러다임 변화의 중심은 인터넷 기반의 e-Business라 할 수 있다. e-Business의 핵심은 인터넷과 정보기술을 이용하여 기업의 내부 프로세스와 기업간 그리고 고객간 외부 프로세스의 투명성을 제고하여 비용을 최소화하는 데 일차적인 목적이 있다. 그러나 e-Business 전개에 있어 기업 내/외부의 프로세스 효율화를 위한 수요측면의 적용 주체 이외에도 이러한 전개를 도와주고 각종 하부구조, 서비스 및 장비를 제공하는 공급 주체도 존재한다. 수요측면에서의 전자상거래를 포함하여 많은 e-Business 관련 연구가 있었으나 공급측면에서의 e-Business 연구는 다소 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 고는 다소 실험적 성격을 가지고 공급측면에서 특히 통신서비스 사업자 측면에서의 e-Business 개념, 모델, 유형 등을 기존 연구의 연장선상에서 확대, 고찰한다.
