  • Presented is the design method of the waste heat recovery facility for the flue gas produced from combustion and incineration processes of large industrial environmental waste treatment and cogeneration plants. The present study assumes the basic design concept of wast heat recovery facility as the combination of waste heat recovery boiler and steam power cycle, and then describes the modeling technique, the design concept and criteria of each component of waste heat recovery facility. In addition, the present study investigates how the thermal performance of waste heat recovery facility varies with boiler operating pressure and waste heat recovery heat exchanger design at the same flue gas condition.

여객선 안전귀항(SRtP)을 위한 시스템 평가에 대한 고찰

  • 대형 여객선은, "a ship is its own best lifeboat"라는 개념을 바탕으로 여객선의 안전성(survivability) 향상을 위한 설계가 요구되고 있으며, 이를 위하여, 사고가 발생하더라도 선박의 자체 추진력으로 안전하게 항구까지 귀항하여야 한다는, 여객선의 안전귀항(SRtP) 이라는 개념을 IMO SOLAS에 적용시켰다. SOLAS의 여객선 안전귀항 관련 조항은, 길이 120m 이상인 선박 또는 3개 이상의 주 수직격벽을 가진 선박으로서 2010년 07월 01일 이후 건조되는 여객선에 적용된다. 여객선 안전귀항 관련 조항은 화재와 침수사고에 적용되며, 사고분계점을 넘지 아니하는 사고가 발생할 경우 자체 추진력으로 여객선의 안전한 귀항을 위하여 사용 가능한 상태로 유지되어야 하는 시스템들에 대한 설계 기준, 사고분계점을 초과하는 화재 사고가 발생하였을 경우 질서 정연한 탈출 및 퇴선을 지원하기 위하여 작동상태의 유지가 요구되는 시스템 설계 기준, 사고분계점에 대한 정의, 사고 발생 후에도 여객 및 승무원의 건강을 유지 확보하기 위한 안전구역에 대한 기준들을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 여객선 안전귀항 관련 법규들을 검토하고, 여객선 안전귀항을 위한 시스템들의 능력 평가 방법과 안전귀항 관련 조항 만족을 위한 시스템들의 요구사항들을 검토하였다.

  • EMP(ElectroMagnetic Pulse) was founded by United States first time from hydrogen bomb experiments in the Pacific Ocean. Although nuclear weapons are weapons of destruction and casualties as heat and explosive force, accidentally it discovered EMP that it can be used as a weapon system that can impose serious damage to electronic equipments without damaging our life, and especially, the automated weapons operated by a computer, such as an electronic device can be effectively neutralized. Therefore, the main military facilities have provided the equipment that can protected from EMP as necessary. In this paper, the concept of EMP is described and countermeasures to protect against EMP are surveyed and described.

  • High temperature oxygen and water vapor was generated from catalytic decomposition of rocket grade highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide, and monopropellant thruster system was developed and applied into space propulsion system. In this research, background research and conceptual design of underwater propulsion system using catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was progressed. Two types of system was designed with different steam injection methods. Propulsion system that has ring-type steam injector was manufactured and performance estimation of system was performed with different nozzle exit area. Performance evaluation with central steam injection type jet engine will be progressed in the future.

  • Traceability has been held as an important factor in testing activities as well as model driven development. Vertical traceability affords us opportunities to improve manageability from models and test cases to code in testing and debugging phase. Traceability also makes overcome to difficulties of going up-and-down abstraction level to find out error spot of faults discovered by testing This paper represents a vertical test method which connects a system test level and an integration test level in a test stage by using UML. Experiment of how traceability works and how effective focus on error spots has been included using concrete examples of tracing from models to the code.

  • Traceability has been held as an important factor in testing activities as well as model driven development. Vertical traceability affords us opportunities to improve manageability from models and test cases to code in testing and debugging phase. Traceability also overcomes difficulties by the separation between abstraction levels when we trace errors from models to source code after test. To support a rigorous test this paper proposes XML based traceability which vertically trace from model and test case to source code. This paper explains how the traceability works and finds out error spots Through experiments using a concrete example.

KSTAR 중성입자빔 입사장치의 크라이오 배기계통 설계 개념

  • KSTAR 토카막은 보조가열 장치로 2005년까지 1대(최종적으로는 2대)의 중성입자빔 입사장치(NBI)를 설치하여 장치의 기본 설계값에 도달할 예정이다. KSTAR NBI는 3개의 이온원을 가지고 있으며 총 수소 유입량은 70 Torr.L/s인 반면 고속 중성 입자빔량은 모두 11 Torr.L/s로 기체 배기량은 59 Torr.L/s에 달하고 압력은 장소에 따라 10-5~10-6 Torr로 유지되며 총배기속도가 1~2$\times$106 L인 펌프가 필요하다. 이때 크라이오 펌프(cryopump) 방식이 거의 유일한 해결책이라고 할 수 있다. 크라이오 펌프는 고속 입자빔 수송로의 양편에 각각 설치되는데 총면적 30m2 내외의 극저온 냉각판(cryo-pnael)들과 이를 상온 열복사로부터 보호하기 위한 열차폐(thermal shield) 및 흡기구 배플(baffle), 그리고 적절한 냉각장치로 구성된다. 시운전 단계에서는 15K GM 냉동기와 활성탄이 부착된 냉각판을 사용하는 방식과 4K GM 냉동기로 냉각하는 방식이, 최종 운전단계에서는 3.7K 액체 헬륨을 사용하는 방식이 고려되고 있다. 크라이오 펌프의 구조설계에 앞서 우선 배기속도, 흡?량, 작동압력, 냉각판 온도, 열손실량 등 설계사양을 확정하고 정리하는 일이 진행되고 있다. 또 냉각방식과 상관없이 동일한 개념으로 만들어지는 배플과 열차폐의 최적설계를 위한 몬테카를로 계산과 열전도 계산을 병행하고 있다. 이 곳에서는 KSTAR NBI 장치의 주배기계로서 사용될 크라이오 펌프의 설계방향과 전반적인 구조 및 예상성능 등에 대해 발표하려고 한다.

  • Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) performed the conceptual design of rocket engine test facility for the development and qualification of the 3rd stage liquid rocket engine for KSLV-II. The 3rd stage rocket engine test facility, which are to be constructed at Naro Space Center, will supply propellants and high-pressure gases to engine for firing test at ground and altitude conditions. The altitude test condition is obtained using a supersonic diffuser operated by the self-ejecting jet from the liquid rocket engine.

  • In this study, the multiplicity of synchronous online class discussion activity is explored at conceptual level. From the cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT), each utterance may be considered as a product of the activity system. Alderfer's ERG theory is employed as another theoretical framework for the study. Based on the subject's existence, relationship, growth needs, their class discussion activities constitute four different dimensions: physical/biological, cultural/institutional, social/relational, and cooperative knowledge construction. It is inherent in individual activities and has a different arrangement according to their interests and situations, and at the same time acts as a factor of cooperation and competition among the participants. Through this, collective discussion activities represent complex and dynamic development patterns.

A Study On User Experience Based Storydoing Operating Principles (사용자 경험 기반 스토리두잉의 작동원리에 관한 연구)

  • Along with the spotlight of storytelling, storydoing has attracted public's attention as it has been utilized in various different areas. There are valued message by producer and story to back it up in the storydoing. Recipient will acknowledge the affordance encouraged by producer and confirm the message by practicing it. Finally producer will evaluate the practice process. Therefore, storydoing promotes the product of company, strengthens the brand image and delivers message and value through a previously mentioned cycle. Ultimately, storydoing is operated based on user's experience. In this study, based on the experience theory of John Dewey, in order to discover how the interactivity and continuity operate story doing, we conducted a study on the concept of storydoing, the national and international story doing status, the difference between storytelling and storydoing, the elements of story doing, the relationship with user experience, and the principle of operating story doing. As a result, we learned that story doing had the five elements of message, story, characters, action, and confirmation, and operated by the interaction and continuity between the producer and receptor. Thus, through this research to understand the nature of storydoing, we have identified new trends of the cultural industries and discovered the possibilities to expand the application scope of storydoing, which was currently applied by companies to promote their brand images, onto contents field. More importantly, the proposal of theoretical differences between storytelling and storydoing makes this report meaningful in terms of sociocultural, industrial and academic aspect.
