  • Construction works have become larger and more complex, improving productivity by introducing Information Technology (IT) is pursued. In this circumstance, many different kinds of project management system is being introduced, and various IT technologies are applied such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Bar Code, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Web Camera, and so on. However, these kinds of technologies might cause reprocessing of information and ineffectiveness of project because of lack of real time information processing technology or separation between construction sites and management offices. Therefore, this research aims to develop Application that can be applied efficiently for construction material management, by understanding problems of former management system with questionnaires and extracting functions with analysis of requirements. This will be possible to input information automatically, to process and check material information in real time, and to identify the location of necessary material. Then, the problem of separation between construction sites and management offices are solved, and as a result, more efficient management of materials in construction sites will become possible.

  • 본 연구에서는 PC를 기반으로 하는 설비 보전정보 시스템의 개발시 구현되어야 할 기능들을 정리한다. 보전정보 시스템을 설비자료관리. 예방보전계획, 작업지시 시스템, 보전 자재관리의 네부분으로 나누어 각 부분에서 필요한 기능들을 정리하고, 보전업무의 수행 절차를 정립한다. 중소기업을 위한 PC기반 보전정보 시스템의 개념도가 제시된다.

  • There are many problems in management of high-rise building construction performed in downtown area due to limited spaces and equipments for increasing kinds and quantities of material. By these restrictions, problems such as increase of construction cost. delay of construction period, decrease of productivity, occurrence of accident are caused. Recently, studies on JIT concept have focused on construction materials as a solution for the problems. But, studies about finishing material are insufficient yet. Accordingly, this study suggests flowing of current material management, JIT management effect, and development direction of lifting-up and procurement system with Low-emissivity double Glazing, among of main finishing materials.

  • Information of construction material is served through internet to user but it is poor to use information of construction material because of lack of information which is accumulated and insufficience of standardization. So informationization of civil materials are closely connected with works and then it is promoted to be used through works like design, construction etc. Informationization for management of information of construction material which reflects questionnaires about opinion of workers presents promotion by stage considering first, continuous renewal of information of construction material and increase in quantity, second classification system and standardization of terms in order to share and connect information of construction material third, developing inquiry method of material information needed in construction stage fourth, connecting material information DB and application through design and construction.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an improved lift-up &procurement work flow for effective resource utilization in building construction. The current lift-up &procurement work flow has some waste factors; complicated information system, connection lack with process and decision-making delay. Therefore the study applied the value stream mapping methodology for improvement of current lift-up &procurement work flow. The main contents of the study are as follows; 1) Problems of current work flow were analyzed through current state mapping(CSM). 2) An improved work flow was suggested through future state mapping(FSM). 3) An improvement effect analysis of information system and lift-up planning was investigated. The study recommends continuous improvement of lift-up &procurement work flow and efficient management of information in building construction as a future research.

  • While the trend of all industries recently lies in combination, construction industry is much interested in enhancing efficiency and competitiveness in the aspect of site control by adopting RFID. Though RFID has been applied to diverse areas thus far, it cannot be easily applied to construction industry due to diverse physical, chemical and use-environmental properties of construction materials. Furthermore, it is rarely applied to the site because of many problems in its application. It is required to prepare RFID code issuance and system that can systematically control the code as well as to research the standardization of frequency, specification, protocol, package method, recognition method, etc in order to apply RFID to construction industry. In this research, RFID code issuance and management program are proposed as a part of program research to apply RFID. Furthermore, the restricted matters of existing RFID tag are drawn to produce pilot product of RFID tag that can solve it so as to perform site application test. According to the experiment, effective recognition distance varies depending on material/environmental property and control efficiency changes depending on attachment method and application method. Thus, preparing diverse restrictive factors and solutions by systematically analyzing control method(medium, process) of current architecture materials and applying it to construction site can be the way to successfully apply RFID.

  • The Computerizing Record Management System(RMS) has been developed for ULJIN Nuclear Power Plant in Korea on the basis of the Manual System. By means of review and analysis of processing flow & project requirements, system logics such as Receiving system, Logging system, Distribution system, Filing system, Indexing & Retrieval system and Output system of statistic and various reports, have been established for computerizing. Structure of Masterfile has been designed so as to include Bibliographic data, Transmittal data, Distribution data, Area data, RMS data for operation of Plant. The RMS data have been designed for construction and operation of the plant by adding index parameters for operation such as System code, KEPCO No., Component link code and Retention period on the point of receiving. The RMS has turned out an easy access to cross-reference between RMS and Material Control System.
