Bernays has not drawn scholarly attention that he deserves. Only quite recently, the reevaluation of his philosophy, including the projects of editing, translating, and reissuing his writings, has just started. As a part of this renaissance of Bernays studies, this article tries to distinguish carefully between Hilbert's and Bernays' views regarding the axiomatic method. We shall highlight the fact that Hilbert was so proud of his own axiomatic method on textual evidence. Bernays' estimation of the place of Hilbert's achievements in the history of the axiomatic method will be scrutinized. Encouraged by the fact that there are big differences between the early middle Bernays and the later Bernays in this matter, we shall contrast them vividly. The most salient difference between Hilbert and Bernays will shown to be found in the problem of the uniformity of the axiomatic method. In the same vein, we will discuss the later Bernays' criticism of Carnap, for Carnap's project of philosophy of science in the late 1950's seems to be a continuation and an extension of Hilbert's faith in the uniformity of the axiomatic method.

This paper proposes a approach to configure efficient video-on-demand system by introducing Multicast and Cache Video-on-Demand (MCVoD) system. As a key element or the MCVoD system, interchange agent provides this system with multicasting and switching functions. With the multicasting, the MCVoD system is able to reduce the load on the network as well as VoD servers by transmitting only one video request instead of sending multiple requests on a same video stream. The switching enables clients to receive the lust stream of requested video streams instantly without waiting time and also allows avoiding undesirable duplication of video streams in the system. With various experiment results through simulation about waiting tine and cache hit ratio, we show that the MCVoD system employing the interchange agent provides better performance than current uni-proxy based system.

People live in their everyday life busy with studies, part-time jobs, and searching for an ideal job. In their busy routine, they try to find time for themselves and expose their emotions through diverse social network services(SNS). We made a service that we can plant a virtual tree in places we daily visit and go by. You can keep note on the virtual tree and look through the past records. It is a reality based mobile application service that can be used like a diary.In this project we chose the tree as the metaphor and tried to express time passing in a specific place. As our memory is a part of our daily life, we emphasized the meaning of space important.

The former people who made musical instruments used touch devices for sound control. As the first multi-touch system appeared in 1982, the performance of the system has been improved rapidly by many researches. In spite of such performance improvement, the popularization of multi-touch interface was looked difficult. However, in 2007, multi-touch interfaces have become popular with Apple Iphone and people have been able to experience easily multi-touch interface using smart phones. In this paper we propose a general-purpose multi-touch interaction system for multi-touch content producer and market invigoration of multi-touch interface. We show by real field tests that the proposed method has benefits in the aspects of price and performance compared with other techniques.

인터넷이 대중화됨에 따라 누구나 쉽게 자신의 의견을 온라인상에 표현할 수 있게 되었다. 그 결과 생각이나 느낌을 나타내는 의견 데이터들의 양이 급속도로 방대해졌으며, 이러한 데이터들을 이용한 여러 응용 사례들의 등장으로, 효율적인 검색 및 자동 분류 기술이 요구되고 있다. 이런 기술적 흐름에 맞추어 의견 데이터 분류에 관한 여러 연구들이 이루어져 왔다. 이러한 의견 분류에 대한 연구들을 살펴보면, 분류를 위해 자질(Feature)로서 사용한 단일어(Single word)가 아닌 2개 이상의 N-gram 단어, 어휘 구문 패턴 및 통사 구문 패턴 등을 사용한다. 특히, 패턴은 단일어나 N-gram 단어에 비해 유연하고, 언어학적으로 풍부한 정보를 표현할 수 있기 때문에 이를 주요 연구 주제로 사용되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 이러한 연구들은 주로 영어에 대한 연구들이었으며, 한국어에 패턴을 적용하여 주관성을 갖는 문장을 분류하거나, 극성을 분류하는 연구들은 아직 미비하다. 한국어의 특색으로 한국어는 용언의 활용이 발달되어 있어, 어미의 변화가 다양하며, 그 변화에 따라 의미가 미묘하게 변화한다. 그러나 기존 한국어에 대한 의견 분류 연구들은 단어의 핵심 의미만을 파악하기 위해 어미 부분을 제거하고 어간만을 취해서 처리하여 어미에 대한 의미변화를 고려하지 못하므로 분류 정확도가 영어권에 연구 결과에 비해 떨어진다. 그래서 본 연구는 영어에 적용된 패턴을 이용한 기존 방법들을 정리하고, 그 방법들 중에서 극성을 지닌 문장성분 패턴을 한국어에 적용하였다. 그리고 어미의 변화에 대한 패턴을 추출하여 이 변화가 의견 분류의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

This study divides and traces experience courses of families' disorganization and reorganization of North Korean refugees in North Korea, China, and South Korea after settlement respectively, from the course of their escaping North Korea to entering South Korea. Through these results, the study is to propose political implications. Main data for the study were analyzed through a case study as a qualitative study method, targeting eight people from July in 2012 to March in 2013. From the study result, though North Korean refugees seemed to disorganize and leave family relations in the course of escaping North Korea, it was found out that this is not disorganization but a preparatory stage which saves families standing at the crossroads of life and death and makes a chance to live with them someday. In these courses, in order for them to overcome their situations and survive, while repeating disorganization and reorganization of families, they used them as a way of saving themselves and their families. It was discovered that these phenomena always occurred simultaneously.

This study aimed to identify and analyze the attributes of FoMO, and to provide basic data for the intervention of FoMO in cancer patients. In order to confirm conceptual attributes, antecedents, and consequences by applying the conceptual analysis method of Walker & Avant (2010), 82 previous studies published from 2004 to 2021 were analyzed. The conceptual attributes were relative deprivation, social exclusion, lack of sense of belonging, lack of interaction with others, negative emotions, and the antecedents were a sense of alienation when you miss the flow or when excluded from activities and the desire to connect with others. The consequences of this were increased emotional distress, triggering negative emotions such as depression and anxiety, and decreased life satisfaction and self-esteem. The attributes of these FoMO were also confirmed in cancer patients. Based on this, it is necessary to develop an effective intervention program to improve FoMO in cancer patients.

Xiao Quan is a leading documentary portrait photographer in China. He tried to shoot portrait photographs of celebrities in the literary and artistic world. By doing this, he represented their time period. We explored the way Xiao Quan implemented the times they lived in by analyzing their portrait photographs included in . Our research showed that Xiao Quan used images of their living environments, clothes and facial expressions and composition of portraits. Such various methods of creation are a means for the symbolic expressions of their times. This research not only finds the way Chinese documentary portraits are created but also provides an opportunity to increase the value of documentary portraits as historic documents.

Buffer overflow vulnerability is the most representative one that an attack method and its countermeasure is frequently developed and changed. This vulnerability is still one of the most critical threat since it was firstly introduced in middle of 1990s. Shellcode is a machine code which can be used in buffer overflow attack. Attackers make the shellcode for their own purposes and insert it into target host's memory space, then manipulate EIP(Extended Instruction Pointer) to intercept control flow of the target host system. Therefore, a lot of research to defend have been studied, and attackers also have done many research to bypass security measures designed for the shellcode defense. In this paper, we investigate shellcode defense and attack techniques briefly and we propose our new methodology which can hide shellcode in the 24bit BMP image. With this proposed technique, we can easily hide any shellcode executable and we can bypass the current detection and prevention techniques.

This study aims to identify the characteristics and meanings that Korean musical enthusiasts take on as cultural intermediaries of musical content by analyzing the real-time conversations they have while watching musicals performed in online spaces. To this end, the 'Live TALK' chat during the 'ontact' (online contact) performance of the musical Marie Curie was observed in real-time and subsequently analyzed in terms of the characteristics of online cultural intermediaries: their owned capital, their mediating language, and their relationship with the consumers. As a result of the analysis, musical enthusiasts were found to possess a wealth of cultural capital based on practical experience and inquiry, and to be utilizing specific identifying expressions in their language use. In addition, they appeared to be interactive in their communication with the general audience, which could be seen in the flow of spontaneous conversations as well as questions and answers occurring in the live chat. This study is significant in confirming that musical enthusiasts are positioning themselves as new cultural intermediaries through their cultural practices: taking on the role of guides and mediators in the online space 'Live TALK.'
