This study aims to identify the core life-cycle elements for archiving digital content through analyzing the existing digital content life-cycle models and suggest the remedies for management the digital content of KISTI after a comparative study. As a result, the 10 core life-cycle categories consisted of 31 small elements were defined. Furthermore, the recommendations that digital content archiving should be set as a critical mission and archiving policy should be prepared in KISTI were proved.

In this paper, we propose three estimators of Kullback-Leibler Information functions using the data from accelerated life tesb. This acceleration model is assumed to be a tampered random variable model. Some asymptotic properties of proposed estimators are proved. Simulations are performed for comparing the small sample properties of the proposed estimators under use condition of accelerated life test.

원자로 압력용기의 수명 및 건전성을 결정짓는 중성자 조사취화현상에 대해 손상과정, 기구, 영 향인자, 예측 및 평가방법을 소개하였다. 용기재료의 현상, 특성과 설계, 제조, 운전시의 건전성 확보를 위한 활동 및 방법도 함께 살펴보았다. 설계시는 물론 수명기간 동안 건전성을 유지하 면서 운전하고 나아가 수명연장 운전을 위해서는 용기의 상태(파괴인성치, 결함, 작용응력)를 정확히 진단, 예측, 평가해야 하고, 이들이 건전성에 미치는 영향평가와 건전성 평가방법을 통한 수명예측 기술의 확보가 매우 중요하다. 특히, 고리 1호기가 가동된지 15년이 되어 계속적인 감 시가 요구되고 수명연장 타당성 연구를 추진중에 있으며, 영광 3, 4호기를 시작으로 앞으로 건 설되는 원자로가 국내에서 제작 . 설치되고, 설계 및 소재의 국산화율을 높이고자 하는 우리나 라에서는 더욱 그러하다. 미소시험법 및 시편재활용 기술개발을 통한 시험자료의 확충과 국내 원자로에 대한 데이터베이스 구축 및 각 발전소 특유의 경향곡선 확립 . 적용이 필요하며, 조사 손상 기구 및 모델링 관련연구가 계속되어야 한다. 조사효과에 대한 기초 및 응용연구는 1994년 한국원자력연구소의 다목적연구용원자로(MRR ; multipurpose research reactor) 가동과 더불어 더욱 활발해질 것이다.

More than sixty percentages of the highway constructed by concrete pavements in South Korea and over half of the concrete pavements were twenty years or older. The most of South Korea road is hard to provide a bypass in conditions of network of roads. Asphalt concrete overlay has been used for the overlay of aged concrete pavement. However, the cost of maintenance and rehabilitation in an asphalt overlay is expensive by early damage. Therefore, bonded concrete overlay was recently attempted in South Korea as an alterative method of rehabilitation for aged concrete pavement. Hence, it needed to investigate the factors to find performance of the bonded concrete overlay life. However, there is no performance data of the concrete overlay in South Korea. This study was to make a database of an affecting of the pavement life and draws statistical analysis of the performance data on the LTPP (Long Term Pavement Performance) database of U.S.A.

In this paper, we consider a Bayesian model selection problem of lifetime distributions using fractional Bayes factor with noninformative prior when type II censored data are given. For a given type II censored data, we calculate the posterior probability of exponential, Weibull and lognormal distributions and select the model which gives the highest posterior probability. Our proposed methodology is explained and applied to real data and simulated data.

임의중도 절단된 이 표본의 수명자료에서 누적위험함수의 비는 시간의 변화에 따른 두 집단의 위험률을 서로 비교할 수 있는 수단이 된다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 두 집단의 누적위험함수의 비에 대한 추정량을 제안하고, 제안된 추정량의 점근성을 유도하였다. 또한 누적위험함수의 비에 대한 여러 가지 동시신뢰대들을 제안하였으며, 실제 자료에 적용하여 보았다.

As there is no failure data for the entire lifecycle of a product, when analyzing reliability measures based on early failure data only, there may be a significant error between the estimated mean life and the real one, because it can be underestimated, or on the other hand, it can be overestimated when analyzing reliability measures based on a large amount of censored data with the failure data. To resolve the issue, this study proposes an optimal sampling estimation procedure that selects the proportion of censored data to estimate the optimal distribution with the idea that the estimated distribution could be approximated as closely as the real life distribution. This would work if we sampled the optimal proportion on the censored data, because failure data has real intrinsic distribution in any situation. We validate the proposed procedure using an actual example. If the proposed method is applied to the maintenance policy of TWC (Train to Wayside Communication) system, then we can establish the optimal maintenance policy. Thus, we expect that it will be effective for improvement of reliability and cost savings.

The purpose of this study is to provide the methods of preservation for paper, microfilm, digital media. First of all, for acidic papers produced in 19~20 centuries, this study evaluates and analyses deterioration and factors causing deterioration. For book, also, environmental condition for preservation, and a preservation mechanism through acid-free procedure were suggested. Second for microfilm, it emphasized physical and chemical properties, oxidised substance during developing film, materials related to preservation. Third, for digital storages, storage conditions and needs, such as life-cycle and capacity were introduced.

The aims of this study were to propose a method of estimation for mean residual life function (MRLF) from conditional survival function using the Buckley and James's (1979) pseudo random variables, and then to assess the performance of the proposed method through the simulation studies. The mean squared error (MSE) of proposed method were less than those of the Cox's proportional hazard model (PHM) and Beran's nonparametric method for non-PHM case. Futhermore in the case of PHM, the MSE's of proposed method were similar to those of Cox's PHM. Finally, to evaluate the appropriateness of practical use, we applied the proposed method to the gastric cancer data. The data set consist of the 1, 192 patients with gastric cancer underwent surgery at the Department of Surgery, K-University Hospital.

The generation of babyboomers has a significant impact on the socio-economic development of the society in general. The Korean Babyboomers will soon leave from their workforce as they reach the retirement age. This, coupled with the low fertility rate, may cause a serious social problem in the society at large as well as the social welfare issues among the Korean elderly population. The Central Statistical Systems have estimated the future projection which plays critical role to establish fundamental basis for the social and economic policies of the nation. This study examined the effect of the babyboomers on the life expectancy by comparing forecasted life expectancies provided by the statistical office and the previous studies in the related areas. The study also suggested a future population projection based on fertility rates provided, along with the changes of the number of babyboomers as they become ageing. The study results with the comparison between the population projection by the statistical office are provided.
