This study analyzed the consciousness and attitudes of local residents to the development plan of Sobaeksan Jarackgil by applying the social exchange theory to provide basic data for the establishment of the Mountainous Ecology Trail Development Plan, collecting opinions of local residents. For this, we conducted a self-administered questionnaire survey and personal interview targeting 150 residents of seven villages. Summarizing the results, first, because of analyzing the consciousness of the residents, most of the local residents turned out to be aware of the Sobaeksan Jarackgil development plan and agreed on it. Second, as a result of analyzing the consciousness of residents, for attitudes according to gender, females expected more than males of exchanging with visitors and excavation of cultural assets. Furthermore for attitudes according to age, groups aged under 60 turned out to be concerned about the increase of environmental pollutions, rise in crimes, destruction of cultures, and the induction of conflicts among residents. For attitudes according to occupations, farm workers were worried about the destruction of ecology, and for local characteristics and damages to the landscape, all of the local residents turned out to be concerned. It was shown that groups that agreed on the development plan expected positively on most of the items of economic, environmental, and sociocultural aspects, while those that disagreed on the plan were anxious for negative effects such as landscape damages and the increase of environmental pollutions from the environmental point of view, and the induction of conflicts among residents from the point of sociocultural perspective.

The fundamental studies on the productivity improvement of the purse seine fishery are presented in this paper. The experiment on net shooting and hauling was carried out in the near sea of Jeju Island (33$^{\circ}$37.8' N, 126$^{\circ}$31.1' E) by using the Cheju national university training ship (A-Ra, 990tons) which was constructed for the one boat system operation of purse seine. The corkline and leadline of the purse seine used for the experiment were 829.1m and 995.7m in length, respectively. Micro data recorder system, net sonde, and tensiometer were used to measure the depth of leadline and the tension of purse seine. Based on the measurement data, the motion and tension of purse seine at the time of shooting, hauling, and pursing were characterized. The experimental results are summarized as follows ; 1. The shooting and hauling of net were found to be possible in the one boat system experimental operation. 2. At the time of purse seine shooting, the relationship between the depth (Dp) of leadline and elapsed time (Et) was found to be Dp=7.58Et-6.48. 3. At the time of pursing, the relationship between the depth (Dp) of leadline and elapsed time (Et) was found to be Dp=-0.8Et$^2$＋7.42Et＋92.04. 4. At the time of pursing, the tension (metric tons) of purse seine attained its maximum value (14.7tons) when the elapsed time is 8 minutes. The relationship with the elapsed time was found to be T=-0.13Et$^2$＋3.23Et-5.72.

This study analyzed the characteristics of the entries at the design competition for the Hoehyeon section of Namsan from a perspective of the Historic Urban Landscape and made suggestions from them. Hoehyeon, located at the foot of Namsan, is the most changing site in the park and Seoul City Wall. Recent excavation of the old city walls of the Joseon Era has uncovered evidence of the Japanese occupation period, making it a site where park facilities in modern and contemporary history coexist. The frame analysis has been made by the concept of the Historic Urban Landscape, the methods of approach, specialists' discussion and the guidelines of the competition. The entries were analyzed by classification of the understanding of the spatiality and cultural diversity, the recognition of the periodic layers of time, and the design implementation, the preservation, the park plan, and the future management plan. From a perspective of an Historic Urban Landscape, this study has found that each entry placed priority on the objects for preservation and suggested creative involvement and comprehensive designs for the preservation and the park plan through the understanding of the spatiality and cultural diversity and the reflection of the periodic layers of time in the designs. This study provided two implications. Firstly, there was a possibility for new recognition and the methods of approach for preservation and development. Secondly, the basic plan for the Historic Landscape should be established through research and mapping for the preservation and management of objects in Seoul having valuable historic variability. Further study for resident participation and the process by network from public to private should be taken. This study looks forward to the consideration of the direction for the design plans of places with historic and cultural value.

The purpose of this study is to prove the existence of the meridians by analyzing the effect of bloodletting cupping on Back-Shu Points and venesection on sabonghyeul, which are treatments for gastrointestinal and circulatory diseases with Ryodoraku. We selected the charts of 30 patients who received the treatment such as bloodletting cupping on Back-Shu Points and venesection on sabonghyeul for gastrointestinal and circulatory diseases. First, the Ryodoraku test was conducted in a stable state. After taking a rest on the bed, he performed a venesection on sabonghyeul. And bloodletting cupping on Back-Shu Points was performed with prone position. After all the procedures were completed, Ryodoraku test was performed again. And the result was compared with previous test status. By bloodletting cupping on Back-Shu Points and venesection on sabonghyeul, the deviation between the current value of the right F5 (gallbladder)· H4 (small intestine)· H6 (large intestine) (p<.05, p<.05, p<.001), left H5 (triple energizer) (p<.05) and the average current of 24 source points was significantly decreased. The difference between the left and right currents at the site of F3 (kidney) showed a significant increase (p<.005). It can be proved the existence of meridians that Bloodletting cupping on Back-Shu Points and venesection on sabonghyeul showed significant changes in the F5 (gallbladder), H4 (small intestine), H6 (large intestine), F3 (kidney), H5 (triple energizer) in digestive and circulatory symptoms by Ryodoraku test.

바람은 지리산 자락으로 숨어들다 바위틈에 몸을 놓고 살을 부비며 친한 척 너스레다. 그렇지만 천년을 한결 같은 지리산 아니던가. 그 웅장한 자태를 짐짓 바꿔 바람을 맞을 리 없다. 지친 날개를 달래듯 한 숨 돌린 바람은 칭얼대듯 몇 번 더 휘돌다 짐짓 앵돌아진 계집아이처럼 등성이로 꼭대기로 휘휘 날아 논다. 무턱 없이 부는 바람을 따라 가노라니 어느덧 지리산 국립공원 사무소에 닿았다. 나공주 소장님의 반가운 웃음과 소승호 분소장님 등의 인사와 함께 궁금증을 참지 못한 박종규 기자의 문답이 이어졌다.

오리숲길 소나무가 하늘을 가렸다. 상쾌한 솔향기에 온몸이 싱그러워진다. 걷다가 만난 황톳길을 맨발로 걷는다. 오리숲길 중간에 있는 일주문을 지나 자연관찰로로 접어든다. 그 길에 조릿대와 생강나무, 전나무, 신갈나무, 소나무 등이 빽빽하게 들어섰다. 흙길이 부드럽다. 법주사에서 마음을 씻어내고 되돌아 나오는 길, 속리산 자락에서 나는 산나물 산약초로 만든 비빔밥으로 풋풋한 봄 맛을 느껴볼 일이다.

밤사이 도둑눈이 슬며시 지나간 11월의 어느 날, 건설관리부서의 건설사업팀원들과 시설보안관리팀원들이 한자리에 모였다. 이들은 모두 쾌적한 실험환경 조성 및 KSTAR를 포함한 각종 시설에 대한 보안 안전관리를 위해 동분서주하고 있는 주인공들이다. 저물어 가는 2010년의 끝자락에서 다시 새로운 한 해를 맞이하는 이들의 희망찬 포부를 들어보자.

친환경 축산물에 대한 소비자들의 관심과 요구가 증가하면서 여러 축산농가들도 항생제를 사용하지 않으면서도 건강하고 위생적인 축산물을 생산하기 위해 많은 관심과 노력을 기울이고 있다. 충남 천안의 산 좋고 물 좋은 차령산맥의 끝자락에 위치한 텃골영농조합법인은 오래 전부터 무항생제 사육을 실천해 왔으며 HACCP 및 친환경 농산물 인증을 획득한 농장이다. 텃골농장은 소비자가 안심하고 먹을 수 있는 먹거리를 제공하여 사랑받는 기업이 되는것을 경영목표로 친환경축산을 선도하고 있다. 우주희 사장은 아버지 우제복 대표(현 KRC 회장)의 농장 경영을 도와 양계산업에 뛰어들어 벌써 10여년째 농장을 경영하고 있는 젊은 양계인 2세이다. 우주희 사장을 만나 텃골 농장의 성공 경영 노하우와 앞으로의 포부를 들어보았다.

설 연휴가 끝나갈 무렵 발생한 숭례문(국보1호) 화재사건으로 온 나라가 발칵 뒤집혔고 모든 국민은 나의 소중한 일부를 잃어버린 공허함에 형용할 수 없이 참담한 심정으로 하루하루를 살아가고 있다. 언제나 그랬던 것처럼 화재원인의 끝자락에는 여지없이 인재로 귀결되고, 보존관리와 소화과정에 대한 논란도 쉽게 정리되지 않을 듯하다. 우리 주변에는 화재발생 요인도 다양하지만 그 대상물 또한 지니는 특징이 매우 다양하여 소화기법이나 조사기법 등에 있어서도 그 만큼 복잡한 형태를 갖는다. 본 코너에서는 화재로 인해 심각하거나 빈번한 피해를 가져다주는 주요 구조 형태에 따른 화재의 특징을 살펴보고 화재 원인의 유형과 조사기법에 대하여도 논의해 보고자 한다. 숭례문 화재 사건은 현재 조사가 진행 중인 만큼 사찰과 함께 특수 건축물의 유형으로 분류하여 추후 논의할 기회를 가져볼 것이다. 화재의 종류에는 소방관점이나 건축법상의 대상물 등 다양하게 표현되고 분류할 수 있다. 본 코너에서는 이러한 틀에서 벗어나 화재의 특징이 달라질 수 있는 구조나 재료, 형태 등을 달리하는 건축물 또는 구조물별로 화재 현상을 나누어 그들에서 발생하는 화재의 특징을 살펴보고, 사고 후 업무와 관련이 되는 담당자의 관점에서 조사의 요점이나 화재 사례 등을 살펴보고자 한다. 접근 방법에 따라 몇 가지로 분류해 보면 다음과 같이 나누어 볼 수 있다.

충북 청주시 흥덕구 오송읍. 산기슭 자락에 자리 잡은 기동목장(대표 남기동 현병숙)에는 여느 목장들과는 다른 특별함이 있다. 소들이 밥을 먹기 위해 걸어 나오면 선풍기가 소를 따라 방향을 틀어 시원하게 밥을 먹을 수 있도록 돕고, 소들이 휴식을 취하기 위해 운동장으로 이동하면 선풍기는 소들을 뒤따른다. 우사 천정은 흡사 돔구장을 보는 듯 자동으로 열렸다 닫혔다를 반복하고 혹여나 소가 넘어질까 바닥은 홈을 파놓았다. 하나부터 열까지 소들의 안전을 위주로 모든 것이 짜여 있는 이곳을 두고 목장주 남기동 대표는 이것은 특별함이 아닌 사소한 관심이라고 말한다. 남기동 대표는 "우리 목장은 그저 다른 목장들과 같은 평범한 목장인데 단지 다른 점이 있다면 틈틈이 설치한 편의시설들과 시설관리를 위한 장치들" 이라면서 "누구나 관심을 갖는다면 쉽게 설치할 수 있는 것들이라 내보이기도 부끄럽다"고 말했다.
