Development of a New Vehicle Detector Combining CW Radar and Magnetometer Techniques (CW 레이다와 자계기술을 복합한 새로운 차량검지기 개발)

  • This paper introduces a new, small, low cost, robust and quick replaceable pavement-based vehicle detector using CW radar, magnetometer, and UHF small antennal techniques. The detector has been developed for a replacement of loop detectors having wide surface areas, for a more accurate operation under all weather conditions, and for no algorithmic change of the existing traffic information system. The detected vehicle information is sent by a small helical antenna embedded in a plastic material and received by a 5/8 $\lambda$ long GP antenna for signal processing. In a relatively good weather condition, the detector operates at 24 GHz. But in a heavy rain condition, magnetometer is activated by automatic switching.

  • 유고란 도로상에서 교통량의 주기적인 집중에 의한 혼잡과는 구별되는 개념으로 교통사고, 도로보수 그리고 자연재해와 같은 비 반복적인 정체의 상황을 일컫는다. 이러한 유고는 막대한 통행시간이 추가로 발생하고 연료소모, 환경피해 등의 문제가 발생하므로 이러한 교통손실을 최소화하기 위하여 자동유고감지 알고리즘의 개발이 필수적이다. 이를 위하여 현재 다양한 검지기에서 수집된 교통 데이터를 바탕으로 유고를 감지하는 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 각종 유고 상황을 인지하여 제2의 사고를 예방할 수 있는 효율적인 유고감지 알고리즘을 개발하기 위하여 퍼지논리와 패턴을 함께 사용하였다. 먼저 퍼지논리와 패턴에 사용되는 데이터는 루프 검지기에서 5분 마다 수집된 교통정보(교통량, 점유율, 속도)를 이용하였다. 교통정보를 이용하여 구축된 요일 및 시간대별 패턴과 함께 퍼지논리를 이용하여 도출된 유고 소속도를 가지고 유고를 감지하였다.

  • 대부분 영상검지기는 입력영상 전체영역의 밝기값에 기반하여 카메라가 받아들이는 광량을조절하는 자동 아이리스 방법을 채택하고 있다. 대형차량의 출현, 갑작스런 외부 일광의 변화가 있을 때 영상내 밝기값이 급격히 변할 수 있는데 기존 방법의 경우 기계적인 대응으로 인한 지연 때문에 차량을 미탐지하는 오류가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 사용자 제어 아이리스(UCI: User-Controlled Iris) 방법을 제안한다. 사용자 제어 아이리스를 사용할 경우 배경영상의 밝기값 변화에만 반응함으로써 움직이는 물체의 밝기값 또는 외부 일광이 급변하는 상황하에서도 양질의 입력영상을 얻을 수 있어 견고한 차량 탐지가 가능하다.

  • Given the daily tactical schedule, the purpose of the traffic management system is to develop operating plan that will achieve the stated schedule as best as possible. The operating plan has to be modified during the day because of occurring disturbance(e.g. delay, infrastructure breakdown, etc.) Conflict detection and resolution(CDRS) are aimed for adjusting the distorted schedule to tactical schedule. Our research separate CDRS into two hierarchy modules, line conflict control module and station conflict control module. We define the role of each modules and design the cooperative architecture. We suggest the conflict detection and resolution approach based on mathematical model. These results can be implemented as prototype modules.

  • Korea, the traffic and transportation problems are significant because private cars are increasing constantly. Therefore, it is imperative to improve traffic condition so as to solve the problems such as traffic congestion and accidents which may occur due to the increase of vehicles in a limited area through the signal control. However, the current operating system for traffic control cannot provide car users the optimal signal but it generates a time delay of vehicles, traffic congestions etc. In this paper, we propose and implement the system based on V2X based automatic controller, which reduces the waste of time and the driver's psychological stress on the road intersection.

  • 인터넷과 컴퓨터 기술의 발달로 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 불법유통이나 복제가 심각해지면서 디지털 저작물의 저작권 보호를 위한 기술들이 개발되기 시작하였다. 디지털 워터마킹 기술은 이러한 저작권 보호기술의 하나로 원본 컨텐츠에 저작권자에 대한 정보를 은닉함으로써 저작권자를 확인시켜주고 불법복제나 유통여부를 가려주는 기술로 개발된 것이다. 디지털 워터마킹 기술이 필요한 정보를 은닉한다는 측면에서 정보은닉 기술의 하나로 활용이 가능하며, 이는 단순히 저작권 보호 이외의 분야에 대해서도 응용이 가능하다는 것을 나타낸다. 본 고에서는 오디오 워터마킹 기술을 이용하여 중앙 방송국과 지방 방송국간의 방송전환 시점을 자동으로 검지하는 데 응용하는 예와 신분증에 있어서의 위변조를 방지하기 위한 응용 예를 다루었다.

  • There is a demand for an intermodal automatic transport bogie as a means for efficient logistics transport. Intermodal is characterized by high demand for single-track operation in a specific section in connection with heterogeneous transportation means. In this study, a driving information system that is simple and optimized for the intermodal automatic transportation bogie is implemented to be suitable for the characteristics of the inter-modal automatic transportation bogie, unlike the existing railroad operation system, and applied to a real large-scale demonstration model to ensure in-place stopping and a smooth interface between each system. and operational examples with a simplified system.

  • Recently, DSRC technology is used in the various fields such as parking system, BIS, ETC, etc. This paper suggests a traffic information system using this DSRC technology. The traffic information processing based on point detection using existing vehicle detection equipment is the system in which a collection and a service are operated separately while the traffic information system based on the link detection using DSRC is able to collect and provide the traffic information through the communication between RSE and OBU. The speed of a traffic congestion is high on the process converted from a point passing speed to a link average speed because the vehicle detection equipment makes the link traffic information into the point information. When the condition of traffic is deteriorated, traffic speed of the vehicle detection equipment becomes higher than DSRC. Especially, in this system, deflection by data of the traffic speed of the traffic information system is much decreased, and the unexpected condition detection and traffic condition are provided promptly.

  • As cities are becoming densely populated, previously unexpected events such as crimes, accidents, and infectious diseases are bound to affect user demands. With a time-series prediction of demand using information with uncertainty, it is impossible to derive reliable results. In particular, the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020 caused changes in abnormal travel patterns and made it difficult to predict demand for time series. A methodology that accurately predicts demand by detecting and reflecting these changes is, therefore, required. The current study suggests a time series modeling pipeline that automatically detects and predicts abnormal events caused by COVID-19. We expect its wide application in various situations where there is a change in demand due to irregular and abnormal events.

  • The abnormally high temperature of the train part is related to train accidents and monitoring is important for safe operation of trains. In case of KTX an abnormality detecting device that detects the abnormality of the axle and scans the urban railway is installed on the railroad and when there is an abnormal heat generation, a system for automatically informing the control center is installed. The IR sensors module used in this system are depend on quick response. we have conducted a study on the fast response test method through the production of experimental equipments.
