  • 자동차 산업에 있어서 반도체 기술발전과 더불어 차량 내 기능들이 효율성, 경제성 및 친환경적인 관심을 고려하여 기계식 방식에서 전력전자식 방식으로 대체되고 있는 실정이다. 엔진의 연비를 향상시키기 위해서는 엔진의 연소효율을 개선하거나, 엔진에서 발생되는 손실을 줄이는 것이 필요한데, VVA(Variable Valve Actuation, 가변 밸브 작동) 기술은 엔진 흡기 유동 강화, 펌핑 손실 저감, 기계적 마찰 손실 저감등을 통해 엔진의 연비를 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한 VVA 엔진을 장착한 차량은 차량의 발진 응답성이 향상되고, 배기가스 배출량을 줄일 수 있어 친환경 저연비 차량을 실현하는데 핵심 차량부품기술이다. 최근까지 차량의 전동기 구동의 경우 DC모터 방식이 많이 적용되어 왔으나 DC모터의 내구성 및 효율 등의 이유로 BLDC모터로 바뀌고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 VVA 기구의 적용을 위하여 BLDC모터 제어기를 개발하였다.

Design on Automatic Vision System for Fast Alternator Spool Inspection (알터네이터 스풀 고속 검사를 위한 자동화 비전시스템 설계)

  • This research aims to design on an automatic machine vision system to replace eye inspection of alternator spool which is one of the key automotive parts. The alternator spool, plastic extrusion part would have various defects like unfinished, crack and burr. Through the design failure examples the optimized fast machine vision system will be designed to inspect all spools also focuses on the low cost machine for the middle sized company as 2'nd automotive supplier. 3-dimensional design softwares of Pro-Engineer & CATIA were used and the system were built based on the design. The system will contribute to satisfy the cycle time and can inspect each part in an absolutely accurate method, which is sufficient for industrial applications.

  • In the wave of the 4th industrial revolution, smart factory is required in many factories. However, small and mid-sized companies (SMEs) still have aging machines and are having difficulties in the data collection stage, which is the basis of smart factories. This study proposes a low cost monitoring method by using an open source based technology that extracts data from the image of the facility control panel without the need for modification of existing facilities. The proposed method was tested and evaluated for forging facilities in automobile parts manufacturing plants through prototyping. As a result of the evaluation, it was confirmed that low-cost facility monitoring is possible, and it will help SMEs build smart factories.

  • X-rays are extensively employed for non-destructive inspection, applied to packaged food, human anatomy, and industrial products. Recently, this technology has extended to inspecting batteries in electric vehicles. Given the challenge of manual inspection for a substantial volume of batteries, deep learning is leveraged to detect battery defects. However, the effectiveness of deep learning heavily depends upon data size, and acquiring authentic defective images is a difficult and time-consuming task. In this study, we use data augmentation and investigate the impact of data size on battery inspection performance. The results provide valuable insights for enhancing the capabilities of the inspection process.

  • This paper analyzes the effects of networking and competition on individual companies' R&D investment, focusing on pharmaceuticals, PCB (Printed Circuit Board), and auto parts sectors. Data were obtained through a survey on firms operating in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyung-gi metropolitan area. The estimation results suggest the networking with other actors in the clusters tends to increase R&D investments of individual firm's. But competition in a cluster tend to reduce individual firm's R&D investment. These results suggest the public policy promoting networking in a cluster could induce private firms' R&D investments and, therefore, should be maintained.

  • In Korea, there exist around 120 regional innovation centers(RICs) which have been established in many universities since the mid-nineties by Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea. These centers aim at higher competitiveness of their local industry by providing it with direct services using expensive testing or manufacturing equipment along with cooperative technology development and well trained work forces. Considering the nationwide importance of human resources development in the key industrial sectors, the RICs naturally should take part of responsibility because the most advanced equipments in each important industrial field have been invested during the last 15 years which amount over 500 million US dollars. In the present study, a brief concept for the industry-oriented human resources development program utilizing the already established RIC infrastructure is proposed.

  • The demands of golf car is being increased with increment in golf population, gradually proceeding to the trend of popularization, but domestic golf car industry is not so mature as it cope with the need of this market appropriately. Most import golf cars of high price have occupied the domestic market from the viewpoint of the its demands. Although the import golf car provided bad after-sales services and very expensive components, those demand's breadth continue to rise steadily. We decide to have to approach an appropriate time to develop the competitive model native to korean style in the field of golf car, since we have established our foundation in auto industry. At this point we try to analyze the golf car expected from a competition and the present state of golf car industry inside and outside of the country through this study. We attempt to derive the precondition for design development of a proper model to possess competitive power in foreign market from now on.

  • In this work, we have discussed new engineering systems for preparing carbon master batch composed by carbon black and various organic compounds. In general, polymer resin, which applied for automobile tire, household items, and various industry items, is used with the fillers including carbon black and silica to control the color or properties. Domestic part and material industry has been remarkably developed in that the development of materials including the compounding of raw materials. Meanwhile, the engineering technique for mass production has not reached to a requirement of industry due to slow technique development and high dependence on foreign. Thus, we will focus on the introduction of new engineering technique developed by domestic company for preparing carbon master batch.

  • This study examined the effect of behavior on leader' s impersonal behavior and organizational members 'semi - productive task and the moderating effect of organizational support perception. As a result of conducting a questionnaire survey on SMEs of auto parts industry in Chungnam, Sejong, and Daejeon, the non-personality behaviors of the top leaders had a significant effect on the non-personality behaviors of the middle leaders (p <.001, ${\beta}=.910$). The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between the leader and the supervisor was significantly influenced by the non-personality behaviors. In addition, higher leaders have a moderating effect on negative behaviors and semi-productive task behaviors toward the organization of members. The control effect of semi - productive task behavior was confirmed. The results of this study provide suggestions for reducing economic loss and social loss due to semi-productive task behavior of organizational members by revealing the phenomenon of non-personality behavior of middle leader to non-personality behavior of upper leader.

  • Recently, with the development of automation in the industrial field, research on anomaly detection is being actively conducted. An application for anomaly detection used in factory automation is camera-based defect inspection. Vision camera inspection shows high performance and efficiency in factory automation, but it is difficult to overcome the instability of lighting and environmental conditions. Although camera inspection using deep learning can solve the problem of vision camera inspection with much higher performance, it is difficult to apply to actual industrial fields because it requires a huge amount of normal and abnormal data for learning. Therefore, in this study, we propose a network that overcomes the problem of collecting abnormal data with 72 geometric transformation deep learning methods using only normal data and adds an outlier exposure method for performance improvement. By applying and verifying this to the MVTec data set, which is a database for auto-mobile parts data and outlier detection, it is shown that it can be applied in actual industrial sites.
