자녀의 정서성과 남편의 부모역할 지지에 따른 어머니의 양육스트레스, 양육행동 및 유아의 사회적 유능성 (Mothers' Parenting Stress, Parenting Behaviors, and Their Children's Social Competence by Their Children's Emotionality and Their Husbands' Support on Parenting)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of mothers' parenting stress, parenting behaviors, and their children's social competence by their children's emotionality and their husband's support on parenting. The participants of this study were 72 three and four-year-old children and their mothers. The results of this study were as follows. The mothers with high-emotionality children reported higher parenting stress than ones with low-emotionality children. The mothers reported low-supporting by their husbands perceived higher parenting stress and used less warmth-encouragement than mothers reported high-supporting. The setting limit behaviors in parenting was significant different by their children's emotionality and their husbands' support on parenting. That is, only in the group of high-emotionality children, the mothers with high-supporting by their husbands used more setting limit behaviors than the ones with low-supporting. The children with mothers received low-supporting by their husbands were rated as less prosocial by their teachers than the children with mothers received high-supporting.

청소년이 느끼는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도가 자기효능감, 스트레스, 우울, 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The effect of positive parenting style, self-efficacy, stress, and depression on school adjustment of adolescents)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년이 느끼는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도가 자기효능감, 스트레스, 우울, 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 있다. 분석대상은 한국 청소년정책 연구원에서 실시한 2010년 한국청소년 건강 실태조사에 응답한 중 고등학생 청소년이며, 총 7,187명을 최종 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 분석방법은 구조방정식모형(SEM: Structural Equation Modeling)을 실시하였다. 주요 분석결과를 보면, 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 자기효능감을 높이고, 스트레스 및 우울을 감소시킬 뿐만 아니라, 학교생활적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자기효능감이 높을수록 스트레스와 우울이 낮았으며, 학교생활적응은 높게 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 청소년의 스트레스와 우울이 낮을수록 학교생활적응은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부모의 긍정적 양육태도가 자기효능감 등 매개변수를 통한 간접효과까지 고려한 학교생활적응에 미치는 전체효과가 매우 크기 때문에 통제적이고 권위적인 양육태도보다는 긍정적이면서 자율 수용적인 양육태도로의 변화, 친밀한 부모-자녀관계 형성, 그리고 양육방식에 대한 효과적인 부모교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다는 제언을 하였다는데 의의가 있다.

미취학 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육행동 구조모형 (Structural Modeling of Parenting Behavior of Mothers with Preschool Children)

  • Purpose: This study was done to build and test a theoretical model that could be used to explain and predict parenting behavior of mothers with preschool children. Methods: The participants were 298 mothers with preschool children. Data were analyzed using the SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) programs. Results: Parenting stress showed a direct effect on parenting satisfaction. Parenting efficacy showed a direct effect on parenting behavior. Parenting stress showed an indirect effect on parenting behavior. Parenting efficacy was found to mediate the relationship between parenting stress and parenting behavior. Income and mother's perfectionism had an impact on parenting behavior. Conclusion: The outcomes of this study indicate the necessity of designing intervention programs that emphasize increasing parenting efficacy in order to increase positive parenting behavior.

수술실 간호사의 스트레스와 관련된 요인 분석 (Stress among Hospital OR Nurses)

  • 수술실에 근무하는 간호사들을 대상으로 일반적인 특성과 업무특성에 따른 스트레스의 정도와 스트레스에 관련이 있는 요인들을 파악하기 위하여 대구광역시 소재 4개 의과대학 부속병원 수술실에 근무하는 간호사 131명 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 총 설문 60문항의 전체 스트레스 평균점수는 3.71점이었다. 가장 스트레스를 많이 받은 업무요인은 업무 외의 책임으로 4.01점이었으며, 그 다음이 의사와의 대인관계상 갈등, 의료한계에 대한 심리적 부담 순이었고, 가장 적은 스트레스를 받는 업무 요인은 대인관계상의 문제로 3.39점이었으며, 전문직으로서의 역할갈등, 간호업무와 관련된 사항 순이었다. 가장 스트레스를 많이 받는 업무의 내용은 간호업무 수행시 실수나 누락한 것을 발견했을 때로 4.47점이었으며, 근무중 물품파손 및 분실로 인한 책임을 져야할 때, 수술도중 기구가 갑자기 작동되지 않을 때의 순이었다. 가장 스트레스를 적게 받는 업무의 내용은 거즈를 재생하기 위하여 보푸라기를 제거할 때로 2.75점이었으며, 컴퓨터 조작을 잘못할 때, 간호조무사와의 관계가 좋지 않았을 때 순이었다. 연구대상자의 특성별 스트레스의 정도는 결혼 상태에 따라서는 기혼인 경우가 3.5점으로 미혼의 3.3점에 비해 다소 높았으며, 자녀수가 1명 있는 경우에 3.9점으로 자녀가 없는 경우 3.7점과 2명인 경우의 3.4점에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 현재 수술실내의 업무의 특성에 따른 스트레스의 평균 점수는 부소독 간호사업무가 3.8점으로 스트레스론 가장 많이 받았다. 간호 업무와 관련하여 스트레스를 특히 많이 받는 경우는 기혼, 1명의 자녀가 있을 때, 학력이 상대적으로 낮을 때 그리고 수술실 근무 경력이 3-6년 미만일 때였다. 따라서 수술실 근무 간호사들의 업무와 관련된 스트레스를 효과적으로 관리하기 위해서는 수술에 대한 충분한 사전준비과 간호업무에 대한 재교육이 철저하게 시행되고, 과로를 방지하며, 자녀양육에 관한 부담을 들어주면서 계속적인 교육의 기회를 보장해 줄 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 한다.

긍정심리 및 내외통제성과 양육 스트레스와의 관계 : 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니를 중심으로 (The Relationships between Positive Maternal Psychology, Internal-External Control, and Parenting Stress of Mothers with Young Children)

  • This purpose of this study was to examine the connections between positive maternal psychology, internal control, and parenting stress of mothers with young children. The subjects were 398 mothers living in Buchon city. Collected data were subjected to descriptive statistical analysiss, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that employed mothers had higher positive psychology and lower parenting stress than unemployed mothers. In addition, positive maternal psychology, internal-external control, and parenting stress were all related to each other. In particular, positive psychology was the strongest predictor for parental stress.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between mother's self-reported adult attachment, anxiety, depression, and parenting stress and the rearing of preschoolers. Based on a sample of 96 young mothers, this study demonstrated the association between a mother's self-report of attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety, anxiety, depression, and parenting stress. And also, the result showed that the greatest portion of attachment classification answered by mothers was secure attachment, and the portion of preoccupied and dismissing attachment was the same. It is also shown that mother's anxiety was different depending on adult attachment classifications.

유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스, 의사소통 지향성과 사회인구학적 변인이 가족건강성에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Parenting Stress, Communication Strategy and Socio-demographic Variables on Family Strengths)

  • This study was conducted to examine how family strengths are affected by parenting stress, socio-demographic factors and communication strategy, with a specific focus on mothers with young children. In total, 418 mothers of 4-5 years old children were included in this study. Higher education achievement was significantly related to higher communication strategy and better family strengths. However educational background had no effect on degree of parenting stress. Lower household income was related to higher parenting stress while higher income resulted in stronger family strengths. However family income showed no correlation with communication strategy. Lower parenting stress and higher communication strategy contributed to better family strengths, The most influential factor of family strengths was parenting stress.

  • This study investigated the pathways of factors affecting 173 employed mothers' second childbirth plans. Participants were all employed working mothers with an infant under 10 months old. The hypothetical model used in this research proposed that workplace childcare support, social support, value of children and parenting stress of employed mothers will directly affect second childbirth plans. Additionally, workplace childcare support, social support, value of children, marital satisfaction and job satisfaction will indirectly influence second childbirth plans as a result of parenting stress. The results of this research demonstrated that value of children and parenting stress were the factors which directly affected second childbirth plans of employed mothers. In addition, workplace childcare support, social support, marital satisfaction and job satisfaction indirectly influenced second childbirth plans as a result of parenting stress. This study suggests the need for the establishment and development of workplace childcare support and the need for enhancing the value of children. This research further suggests the need for policies aimed at increasing psychological well-being and decreasing parenting stress for working mothers who are contemplating second childbirth plans.

기혼여성의 취업 여부에 따른 둘째자녀 출산의도: 아버지의 양육참여를 중심으로 (Exploring pathways from paternal involvement in childrearing to intention of second childbirth by the employment status of married women)

  • The purpose of this study was to find pathways among factors that distinguish the mothers' intention to have a second child. As for factors affecting the childbirth intention of mothers, this study aimed to explore pathways from fathers' participation in childrearing to intention of second childbirth as mediating variables, maternal parenting stress and marital satisfaction. This study used the third wave data of the Panel Study of Korean Children (PSKC) that is a national-representative birth-cohort study. Among the 1,802 participants of the PSKC, 717 mothers who have a husband/partner and only one child have responded a decided intention of second childbirth. SPSS 19.0 and Amos 19.0 were used to implement exploratory analyses of predictors and test path models. Results showed that the hypothetical model assuming a path from paternal involvement in childrearing to mothers' intention of second childbirth, mediated by maternal parenting stress and marital satisfaction fitted the data of working mothers and non-working mothers well. The results suggest policies focusing on internal characteristics of mothers and dynamics in the family.

학령 초기 자녀의 어머니를 대상으로 한 부모존경-자녀존중 부모교육 프로그램의 효과 (The Effectiveness of the Respected Parents & Respected Children Parent Education Program for Mothers of Early School-age Children)

  • The present study employed a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design model in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Respected Parents & Respected Children (RPRC) parent education program for mothers of early school-age children. Ninety mothers were randomly assigned to an intervention (n=45) group or a control group (n=45). Mothers in the intervention group participated in 8 weekly sessions of the parent education program. After the termination of the program, the differences between pretest and posttest were analyzed in terms of both maternal parenting characteristics (i.e., parenting behavior, parenting efficacy, parenting stress, and co-parenting) and children's social competence. The results indicated that only in the intervention group, self-reported positive parenting characteristics were significantly improved and negative parenting characteristics were significantly decreased. There were no significant effects of the program on children's social competence as rated by the mothers. These findings suggest that the RPRC parent education program is effective in changing parenting characteristics known as crucial predictors of child outcomes.
