The study on scheme for train position detection based on GPS/DR (GPS/DR기반의 차상열차위치검지방안 연구)

  • For a thorough train control, the precise train position detection is necessarily required. The widely used current way for train position detection is the one of using track circuits. The track circuit has a simple structure, and has a high level of reliability. However trains can be detected only on track circuits, which have to be installed on all ground sections, and much amount of cost for its installation and maintenance is needed. In addition, for the track circuit, only discontinuous position detection is possible because of the features of the closed circuit loop configuration. As the recent advances in telecommunication technologies and high-tech vehicle-based control equipments, for the train position detection, the method to detect positions directly from on trains is being studied. Vehicle-based position detection method is to estimate train positions, speed, timing data continuously, and to use them as the control information. In this paper, the features of GPS navigation and DR navigation are analyzed, and the navigation filters are designed by constructing vehicle-based train position detection method by combining GPS navigation and DR navigation for their complementary cooperation, and by using kalman filter. The position estimation performance of the proposed method is also confirmed by simulations.

Analysis of time series models for PM10 concentrations at the Suwon city in Korea (경기도 수원시 미세먼지 농도의 시계열모형 연구)

  • The PM10 (Promethium 10) data is one of the important environmental data for measurement of the atmospheric condition of the country. In this article, the Autoregressive Error (ARE) model has been considered for analyzing the monthly PM10 data at the southern part of the Gyeonggi-Do, Suwon monitoring site in Korea. In the ARE model, six meteorological variables and four pollution variables are used as the explanatory variables for the PM10 data set. The six meteorological variables are daily maximum temperature, wind speed, relative humidity, rainfall, radiation, and amount of cloud. The four air pollution explanatory variables are sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$), nitrogen dioxide ($NO_2$), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone ($O_3$). The result showed that the monthly ARE models explained about 13-49% for describing the PM10 concentration.

  • This paper proposes fingerprint-based positioning methods which can be used in a magnetic resonant wireless power transfer(WPT) system and verifies their performance. A new receiver coil with small orthogonal auxiliary coils is proposed to measure magnetic field signals in three axial directions. The magnitude and phase characteristics of the three-axis electromotive force can be obtained by using the proposed coil. To predict a position with the measured values, we propose a lookup table-based method and linear discriminant analysis-based method. For verification, the proposed methods are applied to predict 75 positions of the 6.78 MHz WPT system, and the performances such as accuracy and computation time are compared.

  • 최근 대형 디스플레이 및 웨어러블 컴퓨터의 등장과 함께 키보드와 마우스를 사용하는 일반 데스크탑 환경에서 벗어난 컴퓨터와의 자연스러운 상호 작용 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스크린 정면에 놓인 프로젝터가 스크린과 그 위에 놓인 사용자의 손 위에 화면을 투영할 때 PC 카메라로 입력된 프레임 속에서 손의 영역을 인식하여 컴퓨터와 상호작용하게 하고자 한다. 이 경우에 투영된 빛이 사용자의 손 위에도 합쳐짐으로 인하여 피부의 고유색이 사라진다. 또한, 투영되는 화면이 사용자와 컴퓨터의 상호 작용에 따라 추정할 수 없이 변함에 따른 적응적 인식 방법이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 손을 인식하기에 앞서 스크린에 투영될 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라 보정을 수행하여 추정되는 카메라 입력 프레임을 생성한다. 이를 위해 우선 백색 영상을 투영하여 프레임 내의 자기 오차 맵을 생성한 후 R,G,B 채널 별로 원본 값에 대한 카메라 반응 값들을 룩업 테이블에 저장한다. 이를 통해 원본 이미지에 대해 칼라보정을 수행하고, 생성된 카메라 추정 프레임과 실제 카메라로 입력된 프레임 간 자기 성분을 비교하여 손 영역을 검출한다. 실험 결과, 주변의 조명 상태나 프로젝터 및 카메라의 위치에 관계없이 안정적인 인식 결과를 보였다.

GIS and Geographically Weighted Regression in the Survey Research of Small Areas (지역 단위 조사연구와 공간정보의 활용 : 지리정보시스템과 지리적 가중 회귀분석을 중심으로)

  • This study investigates the utilities of spatial analysis in the context of survey research using Geographical Information System(GIS) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) which take account of spatial heterogeneity. Many social phenomena involve spatial dimension, and with the development of GIS, GPS receiver, and online location-based services, spatial information can be collected and utilized more easily, and thus application of spatial analysis in the survey research is getting easier. The traditional OLS regression models which assume independence of observations and homoscedasticity of errors cannot handle spatial dependence problem. GWR is a spatial analysis technique which utilizes spatial information as well as attribute information, and estimated using geographically weighted function under the assumption that spatially close cases are more related than distant cases. Residential survey data from a Primary Autonomous District are used to estimate a model of public service satisfaction. The findings show that GWR handles the problem of spatial auto-correlation and increases goodness-of-fit of model. Visualization of spatial variance of effects of the independent variables using GIS allows us to investigate effects and relationships of those variables more closely and extensively. Furthermore, GIS and GWR analyses provide us a more effective way of identifying locations where the effect of variable is exceptionally low or high, and thus finding policy implications for social development.

Consumer's Consciousness of the LOHAS Consumption and the Consumption Behavior of the LOHAS Products (소비자의 로하스 소비의식과 로하스 상품소비행동)

  • This paper explored consumers' LoHAS purchasing behavior and factors influencing the behavior, including' self-construal, and LoHAS values, attitudes and behavior. First, this study investigated how self-construal affected LoHAS values, and then analyzed how LoHAS values influenced LoHAS attitude and behavior. Last, this study is to examine how the relationships among LoHAS values, LoHAS attitude and behavior are moderated by consumers' gender. We administerd a survey with undergraduates attending a university located in the metropolitan area. The analysis results indicate that interdependent self-construal affects LoHAS values. According to the analysis, both environmentalism and sustainability of LoHAS values also affect LoHAS attitude, and then the attitude influences LoHAS behavior. In addition, the results show that the relationships among LoHAS values, LoHAS attitude and behavior are not moderated by consumers' gender. This study shows the casual relationship between variables including self-construal, LoHAS values, attitude and behavior. In particular, this finding confirms that self-construal as one of psychological factors affects LoHAS consumers' values and behavior. Finally, based in the findings of this study, theoretical contribution and managerial implications are discussed.

  • 최근 현실의 이미지나 배경에 3차원 가상 이미지를 겹쳐서 하나의 영상으로 보여주는 증강현실 기술들이 개발되고 있으며, 특히 애플리케이션에 따른 증강현실기반의 소프트웨어 들이 많이 개발되어 지고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 증강현실 기반의 애플리케이션은 GPS를 사용하여 사용자에게 서비스를 제공하는데, GPS값이 정확하지 않아 위치에 대한 신뢰도가 떨어지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 GPS 기능과 지자기, 자이로, 가속도 센서를 통한 방향감지 인식을 포함하여 증강현실 기반의 애플리케이션을 개발하여 위치에 대한 신뢰도를 증가하고자 한다. 특히, 캠퍼스 가이드 서비스 애플리케이션을 개발하여 기존의 다른 애플리케이션의 문제점을 개선하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 그리드 컴퓨팅을 위한 미들웨어인 Globus의 정보 서비스 시스템인 MDS의 확장된 정보시스템 설계를 기술한다. 제안된 시스템은 자원 접근 및 발견을 위해 P2P 기반의 결함 포용을 갖는 강건하고 적응형 정보 서비스를 제공한다. MDS 는 가상 조직(Virtual Organization, VO) 으로 이루어진 네트워크 상에 자원의 위치 및 상태 정보를 제공하는 디렉토리 서비스이다. 그러나 현재 MDS 시스템은 결함의 기점(Single-point failure) 및 중복으로 등록된 자원에 대한 추가적인 트래픽을 발생시킨다. P2P 기반 정보 서비스 시스템은 기존의 클라이언트/서버 기반의 정보 서비스에 비해 정보의 가용성이 높고 수동적인 정보 서비스 수행 객체인 VO의 자치성을 보장함으로써 그리드 컴퓨팅 자원에 대한 유효한 실시간 접근을 제공한다. 또한 그리드 컴퓨팅의 확장으로 그리드 컴퓨팅에 참여하는 자원의 수가 증가함에 따라 정보 서비스 시스템의 확장성 및 정보 서비스의 개체인 VO간의 자기 조직화(self-organization)를 지원한다.

Initial Rotor Position Detection of Single-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor using Offset Voltage (옵셋 전압을 이용한 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 초기 회전자 위치 검출)

  • This paper propose an initial rotor position detection method for sensorless operation of a single-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(SP-PMSM) with asymmetric air-gap. In general, the sensorless control based on back-emf estimation is difficult to estimate the back-emf at the zero and low speed regions. For this reason, an open loop start-up technique is indispensable, and it is also necessary to detect the initial position of the rotor in order to rotate in a certain direction. In this paper, we propose a method to detect rotor polarity by adding offset voltage to high frequency voltage signal based on the magnetic characteristics of SP-PMSM. The validity and usefulness of the proposed algorithm are verified through several experimental results.

  • Ultrasonography is effective for imaging superficial organs, such as the scrotum. Using a highfrequency transducer, ultrasonography can identify the location and characteristics of scrotal lesions with high accuracy. The primary role of ultrasound (US) in the evaluation of a scrotal mass is to determine if it is intratesticular or extratesticular. Additional clinical information and other imaging options may be needed to diagnose benign tumors and pseudo-tumors. MRI is an effective problem-solving tool in cases with nondiagnostic US findings. CT is helpful for staging testicular cancer and localizing undescended testis. This review covers the imaging features of testicular and extratesticular tumors.
