The subjects for this study consisted of 142 middle aged and 201 elders who lived in 3 cities of convenience sampling method. The Data was collected through personal interviews with questionnaires from March to July, 2014. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used with SPSS Statistics program. The determinants on self-rated health status were present illness, stress management, health responsibility, fatigue, anger, tension, and social support among the middle-aged persons and physical activity, present illness, confusion, and exercise among elderly persons. On the basis of the results in this study, we should develop differentiated health promotion programs through education, counselling and health examination for the middle-aged adults and elderly.

In this study, 265 data was collected from nursing students of D-city in South Korea from April 4 to 22, 2016. Collected data was analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 Statistics Program. with descriptive statisticsm, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. There were significant predictors of subjective happiness for nursing students were self efficacy (${\beta}=.023$, p<.01), positive thinking (${\beta}=.610$, p<.001), explaining 48.7% of the variance in subjective happiness. The most important predictors of subjective happiness for nursing students were positive thinking. These findings can be utilized to development of strategies for increasing subjective happiness of nursing students. We suggested a follow-up study that explains the subjective happiness of nursing students by expanding students number.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the predictive factors for health promotion behaviors of older adults in rural areas. A theoretical substruction was constructed to test hypothetical models based on Pender's health promotion model. The data was collected from 199 older adults aged 65 years or older, who resided in G city, by using a structured questionnaire. The questionnaires contained items on individual characteristics, health literacy, self efficacy and health promoting behavior. The data was analyzed with a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. The predictive factors for the health promotion behavior were the number of health information channels (β=.16, p=.031) and self efficacy (β=.53, p<.001). The total explanatory power of these factors was 30.8%. A nursing intervention plan for improving health promoting behaviors of older adults should be developed and applied, with a focus on self-efficacy and health information channels. Further longitudinal studies are needed to help confirm relevant measurement of the level of health promoting behaviors of older adults.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of self-esteem, self-efficacy and ego-resilience of nursing students and to evaluate the effect of self-esteem and self-efficacy to ego-resilience. In this study, 247 data was collected from nursing students of G-city in South Korea from Sep. 2016 to Nov. 2016, and the collected data was analyzed with SPSS 22.0 Statistics Program. The result showed that self-esteem had positive correlation with both of self-efficacy and ego-resilience, and self-efficacy had positive correlation with self-efficacy. Both of self-esteem and self-efficacy were significant to ego-resilience with the explanation power of 59.2%. It is necessary for nursing students to improve their self-esteem and self-efficacy from college education to cope and adapt to various stress situations experienced in the clinical field, and it is required to develop the ego-resilience improvement program using self-esteem and self-efficacy.

  • A descriptive correlation study was conducted to identify the factors of health promotion behaviors among adolescents. Participants were 643 students in a high school. Data were collected using a self administered questionnaire. Participants' health promotion behaviors were relatively high. Among sub-domains of health promotion behaviors, infectious diseases prevention was the highest domain and accident prevention was the lowest domain. Participants' smoking, self-efficacy, and social support were statistically significant factors to explain their health promotion behaviors and these variables accounted for 38.0% variance of health promotion behaviors among high school students. Among the variables that were statistically significant, social support was the most explanatory. Conclusions: Accident prevention education should be strengthened in health promotion program for adolescents. More attention is needed for health promotion behaviors among smoking group adolescents. Moreover, we confirmed the importance of social support from school, family and community to improve health promotion behaviors among adolescents.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the self-efficacy and intention to use for digital health devices by middle-aged and aged groups. We conducted the frequency analysis, T-test analysis, and linear regression analysis using the 2019 Korean Senior Technology Acceptance Survey. The analysis results are as follows. First, the group of the middle-aged had higher score of the intention to use for digital health devices than the group of the elderly. Second, the group of the middle-aged group also had higher self-efficacy than the group of the elderly. Lastly, it was found that the relationship between the self-efficacy and intention to use was not significant in the middle-aged group. However, the relationship between the self-efficacy and intention to use in the elderly group had a positive influence. We suggested that the differentiated strategy is needed to promote the utilization of digital health devices for middle-aged and aged. This study is expected to be a fundamental study of digital health devices and suggest the research model including the usefulness, ease of use, and anxiety.

The results were as follows ; First,, there was significantly higher difference(F=3.802, p=0.026) in self-efficacy for health promotion practices at the groups(3.71) which reported less stress than at the groups(2.64) which reported high stress. Secondly, there was significantly higher difference(F=3.496, p=0.048) in social support at the groups which do exercise than at the groups which do not exercise. Thirdly, self-efficacy and social support were significantly positive correlation(r=0.591, p<0.001). In conclusion, it need application and development that allow for positive self-management program to improve the practices of health promotion for hospital employees.

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of self-efficacy and self-directed learning readiness to self-leadership of nursing students. The data of self-efficacy, self-directed learning readiness and self-leadership was collected for the nursing students of K university in K city from Sep. 2015 to Nov. 2015. The results show that self-efficacy is different according to subjects' age, and self-directed learning readiness is different according to the grade. The correlations among self-efficacy, self-directed learning readiness and self-leadership are significant, and the self-directed learning readiness is a significant predictor of self-leadership. It is expected that the nursing students will be able to act as a leader in clinical practice and health care by promoting self-directed learning readiness from the university education, and it is required to develop and operate the self-directed learning readiness program including the opinions of learners.

The test data were analyzed by paired t-test, independent t-test and two-way repeated measures ANOVA. The alpha level of p<0.05 was set for all tests of significance. The results of the study in the both group were as follows; The muscle mass in the body composition had significantly increased, and there was a significant difference between groups. Body fat mass had significantly decreased. Fitness(cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, power and agility) had significantly increased, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, and power was a significant difference between groups. Self-control and self-efficacy had increased significantly in both groups.
