  • The purpose of this study was to look how workaholism regulates the effect on the relation between the perfectionism types - self-oriented perfectionism (SOP), other-oriented perfectionism (OOP), Socially prescribed perfectionism (SPP) - and burnout. To do this study, 250 data collected from people who would be over 20 years old in the country using Korean Version of Hewitt's Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, Korean Version of Workaholism Battery, Maslach Burnout Inventory. To analyze the result of the questionnaire survey, Descriptive statistic, correlation analysis, t-test, regression analysis, two-way ANOVA were performed using SPSS. As a result, the interaction between SPP and workaholism showed the meaningful effect on burnout. In other words, while SPP lower group experiences less cynicism regardless of the degree of workaholism, SPP upper group experiences noticeable more cynicism when they are in the lower workaholism group, suggesting that workaholism may have a positive effect of making someone experience less burnout.

  • Recently, as per a representative education method to develop core capabilities (such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) problem based learning (PBL) has been widely adopted in universities. Two important features of PBL are 'collaboration between team members' and 'participation based self-directed learning'. These two features should be satisfied in online education, although it is difficult due to the limitation on space and time in the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper presents a new design of PBL class in Metaverse, based on improving the online PBL class operated in the previous semesters in the H university. In the proposed PBL class, students are able to display materials (e.g., image, pdf, video files) in 3D virtual space, that are related to problem solving. The 3D virtual space is called gallery in this paper. The concept of gallery allows for active participation of students. In addition, the gallery can be used as a tool for collaborative meeting or for final presentation. If possible, the new design of PBL class will be applied and its effectiveness will be analyzed.

  • In this study, we applied the flipped-classroom to the general chemistry experiment lecture of the domestic university with strong teacher-led, and explored the effects and possibilities of the course. For this purpose, 30 students who were enrolled in the Science Education Department of the College of Education in the metropolitan area were randomly assigned to two groups, namely, the flipped-classroom group and the traditional class group. Then, we developed a general chemistry experiment lessons based on the flipped-classroom along with visual materials and we applied the lessons for 15 weeks. After all the classes, we conducted a survey to see the students' perception of the general chemistry experiment lecture by flipped classroom. As a result of analysis, the students of the flipped-classroom group were more positive than the students of the traditional class group in terms of the usefulness of the class activity, the importance of each activity element for the successful learning, the learning level, and the intention for another lesson. As a result of analyzing students' perceptions in terms of general chemical experiment activities such as conducting experiments or writing reports and understanding the contents of experiments, the average score of the flippedclassroom group was higher than the traditional class group, and the main cause of this result was the video material provided by prior learning activities. In addition, as a result of analyzing students' perceptions in terms of interactions and self-directed learning in class, the average score of the flipped-classroom group was generally higher than the traditional class group. In particular, students' interactions and self-directed learning were statistically significant differences between the two groups. And the students' perception of video material was very positive, and it was analyzed that the video that the instructor directly explained experiment theory and method was the most favorite videos of students. We discussed educational implications of these findings.

  • This study tried to verify the causal relationship that SMEs' organizational culture and self-efficacy would affect job crafting and job satisfaction. Unlike previous domestic studies that have been studied for organizational culture at the organizational level and self-efficacy at the individual level, this study tried to verify the interaction between job crafting and job satisfaction using different mechanisms as antecedent factors. In order to verify the research model of this study, questionnaires of 144 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) workers located in Seoul and metropolitan areas were analyzed. Factor analysis and correlation analysis were performed to verify the reliability and validity of the research model on the relationship between variables, and empirical analysis was performed using regression analysis and mediation effect analysis to verify the hypothesis. The results of the study were first, that organizational culture and self-efficacy had a positive (+) effect on job crafting. On the other hand, relationship-oriented culture and hierarchical-oriented culture, which are sub-factors of organizational culture, were found to be insignificant. Second, organizational culture and self-efficacy were found to have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, it was found that market-oriented culture and hierarchical-oriented culture, which are sub-factors of organizational culture, were not significant. Third, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, it was found that the sub-factors of job crafting, disruptive job demands and social job resources, were not significant. This means that organizational culture partially affects job crafting and job satisfaction of SMEs, and job crafting also partially affects job satisfaction. The implications of this study are first, suggesting the meaning of SME organizational culture for stable and efficient human resource management for SMEs suffering from low productivity and high turnover rate. Second, it was meaningful to understand the possibility of introducing job crafting as an effective job management plan for SMEs. Third, in the current situation where there are few cases of practical introduction of job crafting, research on understanding job crafting for SMEs and improving job satisfaction is thought to be helpful in improving the productivity of SMEs.
