Purpose: The survey was aimed to provide basic data to develop a certification system for hospice and palliative care professionals. Methods: National Cancer Center (NCC) and the Korean Society for Hospice & Palliative Care (KSHPC) conducted the survey for hospice and palliative care professionals who worked at 34 Palliative care units designated by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Family Affairs (MW) and the members of the KSHPC. The survey was conducted via e-mail from June 17 to 23, 2009. Total 220 professionals were surveyed. Results: Most of the hospice and palliative care professionals reported a great need for certification system: Physician, 90% (n=51) nurse, 84% (n=134) social worker, 89% (n=35). In regard with the requirement for the certification, a majority of physicians (46%) preferreddiploma course, while social workers (46%) preferred training course for medical social workers. Concerning the certification body, physician (45%) preferred the KSHPC and the MW almost equally, while nurses (50%) and social workers (60%) preferred the MW highly. As for the body to develop and accredit advance training course for each professionals, most of the physicians (51%) preferred the KSHPC, whereas nurses and social workers preferred collaboration of the MW (or NCC) with the professional society, such as the KSHPC (23%), the Korean Hospice & Palliative nurses association for nurses (21%), or the Korean association of (medical) social workers (37%). Lastly, all respondents preferred the course format of once a week, full day, and some field study at weekend. Conclusion: Korean hospice and palliative care professionals identified the great need for the certification system, therefore, the adequate system development must be followed to reflect their voice.

This study examines the response strategies of the National Association of Korean Music Therapists (NAKMT) during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on certification management, professional re-education, and clinical practice operations. Based on written documents and interviews collected from January 2020 to August 2023, it analyzes NAKMT's measures in certification exams, continuing education, academic activities, and infection control, while comparing these strategies with those implemented by the CBMT(Certification Board for Music Therapists) and the AMTA (American Music Therapy Association). During the pandemic, NAKMT transitioned the KCMT certification exams to an online format to ensure continuity of credentialing processes. Additionally, it expanded remote continuing education and strengthened international collaboration by increasing the number of lectures from overseas experts. Furthermore, NAKMT provided infection control guidelines and psychological support manuals to enhance safety for both clients and therapists, thereby implementing strategies aimed at minimizing risks within clinical settings. This analysis provides practical insights into crisis management strategies in the field of music therapy based on the historical precedent of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Searching and retrieving information on the Web that define the core-function of Internet IR specialists is one of the activities that practitioners and searchers of LIS fields do exceptionally yell. Various education programs and license examinations for Internet IR specialists have been carried out by many organizations, without consistent monitoring or objective evaluation of those validity and functionality, which community of information professionals requires. This study focused on investigating the current practice of the education and license exam, and identifying problems that hinder the validity of those programs, and alerting the professionals to enhance and expand serious cooperation to keep up with the evolving interests of Internet IR specialists as a great challenge we all(partners, researchers, and policy-makers in government) face.

In this paper, we describe access control system for protection of pay TV program in digital DBS(Direct Broadcast satellite) system. We also propose a possible access control system and operation scenario for scrambling and descrambling which are important in access control system. Transport stream structure and option, entitlement checking message and entitlement management message for access control on digital broadcasting system are described in this paper. Especially, the authentication based on Flat-Shamir and Gulllou-Quisquater schemes required for verification of proper subscriber as access control is oriented to smart card number and subscriber ID(Identity). It has less restriction than scheme oriented to descrambler number.

In this paper, we present FinDID (Financial Decentralized IDentity), a blockchain-based DID(Decentralized IDentity) service that can flexibly control personal information or credentials through a systematic verification method while complying with the standard service scheme of decentralized identity for the financial sector. DID is an identity management system used in a decentralized environment without a specific certification authority, and as a technology that allows users to control their own information, it can realize self-sovereignty over users' own personal information. Through FinDID, users receive credentials that authenticate their various personal information from the issuer, select only the claims required by the target financial service using their personal electronic wallet, create presentations from credentials. Then they submit it to the financial service, leading to their qualification from the service. FinDID consists of electronic wallet, credential issuer, credential storage, DID service including DID management contract and credential management contract, and financial services using this service scheme. The DID service manages each user's DID and supports all verification processes of the associated identity management scheme.

In EMC(electromagnetic compatibility) certification, the facilities and equipments have been considered as important qualification for registration of EMC certification business. In future, the certification environment is also supposed to be restricted Strictly. Many organizations have made on attempt to establish, certification environment as a international standard. Therefore, in order to enhance the competitive powers of domestic certification industry, a real-time system which can be measure automatically and remotely the temperature, humidity, illumination, CO/CO2, magnetic field, and human sensing is proposed in this paper. This system can also maintain the appropriate measurement environment by using USN (ubiquitous sensor network). The availabilities are confirmed through the experiment.

The purpose of this study is to examine the qualification system of competency assessor based NCS(National Skill Standards) in Australia and Scotland. To meet the purpose of the study, the characteristics of competency based assessment and the role of assessor was reviewed, and competency assessor qualification system of both countries were analysed. Australia and Scotland have developed the certification system of competency assessor based on national qualification framework. Education and Training Institutes in both countries should meet the requirement of RTOs(Registered Training Organizations) and CRBs(Credit Rating Body), which can develop and operate assessor qualification course based NQF. Also they must ensure all assessors are qualified with competency, currency and professional development and show how they have maintained, upgraded or developed new skills relevant to the current industry needs. In recent years, Korea has been introduced competency based curriculum linked with NCS in education and training sector. Also the introduction of competency assessor qualification system are currently under consideration by government. In this circumstances, the results of comparative analysis about Australia and Scotland can help the Korean government review the policies and strategies qualifying competency assessor. They also provide some implications for exploring and examining assessor qualification system based NCS and KQF(Korean Qualification Framework) in Korea.
