Developing criteria for evaluation of WWW resources in electronic libraries (전자도서관의 WWW 데이터 평가기준에 대한 연구)

  • Unlike most print resources such as magazines and journals that go through an filtering process (e.g. editing, peering review), information in world Wide Web and Internet is mostly unfiltered. Using and citing information found over Web may not be reliable or authoritative. Therefore it is necessary to develop skills to evaluate what we found on the net. Fifteen evaluation documents for WWW are collected, analyzed from digital sources of U. S. academic libraries and common criteria for evaluating WWW resources are developed. Also several practical steps were made to overcome the quality problems.

  • Pedestrian facilities encompass pedestrian roads, stairs, and queuing areas exclusively designed for pedestrian use. The Korean Highway Capacity Manual provides guidelines for analyzing the capacity and level of service of pedestrian facilities. However, there is a lack of analysis methods tailored specifically for pedestrian facilities. Therefore, in this study, we introduced a new standard of pedestrian space to account for changes in the Korean body ellipse. Furthermore, based on this newly defined pedestrian space, we proposed a new standard value for the level of service of queuing areas. The results of on-site surveys confirmed that the proposed level of service can effectively reflect the actual walking situation.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the concepts of reading ability and debate ability, and the components of both abilities and to make the performance assessment's standards to apply them to the classroom for reading debate in the school libraries. For doing this, I studied the necessity of reading debate, assessment, and the components of reading/debate abilities. The components of the reading and debate abilities were derived from the theoretical researches and the performance assessment's standards for the reading debate were proposed in the viewpoint of the teacher librarians and classroom teachers in the school libraries in order that the teacher librarians and teachers could apply them to the reading debate classes and assess the performance achievement of the students.

Evaluation Criteria of the Walkway Level-of-Service in Korea (국내 보행 서비스수준의 평가기준)

  • In the middle of motorization, the traffic problems become serious social problems in Korea. The walking environment is not only a topic which restores the community spirit of a city or society but also a lever which renovates the future space of the city environment-friendly. Thus, the Purpose of this study is to suggest the new criteria of walkway level of service adopting the concepts of safety. convenience, comfort, environment, security, and continuity in addition to present pedestrian flow rate, and to provide basic data for walkway plan in Korea. In order to analyze the adequacy of the present walkway level of service criteria, the walkways of which service levels were A, C, E according to USHCM were selected as study walkways, and an interview surrey was conducted to compare the three service levels with those that pedestrians evaluate actually. Also, another interview survey was conducted to analyze the service conditions and satisfaction level at the walkways of high service levels(A and B). For the establishment of more reasonable walkway level of service criteria. the survey of pedestrian\`s consciousness for walkway service was conducted. Based on the survey results, the new criteria for the evaluation of walkway service were selected and the six levels of service for each criterion was analyzed: so the comprehensive criteria of walkway level of service were suggested.

Perception of German Secondary School Teachers of English on Student Evaluation: Focusing on 7th-grade Teachers at Gymnasium (독일 영어중등교원의 학생평가에 대한 인식 연구 - 김나지움 7학년 영어교사를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore secondary school teachers' perceptions of student evaluations, focusing especially on students' performance in the classroom. The study selected Germany as a representative country where teachers' performance evaluation strongly affects students' school pathways. The researchers selected 4 English teachers and conducted in-depth interviews with them. The results indicated that German English teachers perceived students' performance as an individual evaluation and provided each student with oriented learning materials and evaluation results. The second, they used formative evaluations to confirm and motivate their students' learning process as well as peer assessments. The third, the German English teachers showed strong empowerment in the evaluation process. The fourth, they motivated to participation in-class activities teacher through performance evaluation considering fairness. Based on the results, future studies should need to observe real settings in the classroom and students' perceptions of their evaluations. the study also suggested using practical performance evaluations to enhance students' motivation and participation in the classroom. This study identified limitations of the research and made significant recommendations for future studies.

  • 본 연구는 국내에서 제작한 데이터베이스의 품질을 평가하고자 4개의 문헌 데이터베이스를 선정하여 각 데이터베이스를 정확성, 일관성, 완전성, 현행성 등 네가지 기준에 따라 분석하였다. 실험결과는 각 평가기준별로 정리되었으며 그에 대한 최우선 대책을 제안했다. 데이터베이스의 품질은 정보 검색과 서비스에서 매우 중요한 것이므로 시스템 설계자나 이용자 모두 데이터베이스의 품질에 대해 넓은 안목을 갖추고 체계적인 분석을 수행하여야 하며 이와 함께 제도적인 뒷받침도 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • IT 서비스의 안정적인 공급과 IT 서비스의 품질 개선을 이루고자 하는 SLA(Service Level Agreement)에 대해 많은 연구와 시도가 지금까지 진행되어 왔다. SLA 시행에 있어서 측정 지표와 그 평가 기준 선정은 매우 중요하나, 대부분 SLA 측정 지표들은 기술관점의 항목들로 구성되어 있기 때문에, SLA 시행 결과가 사용자 중심이 아닌 서비스 제공자 중심으로 나타나고 있다. 이는 사용자의 불만족을 초래하고 서비스 제공자와의 의사 소통을 어렵게 만들고, 결국 SLA 도입 실패로 이어지는 원인이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 SLA 측정 지표들에서, 사용자 중심의 SLA 측정 지표로 활용할 수 있는 항목들을 BSC 의 인과관계모델을 통해 추출하고, AHP 기법을 통해 SLA 평가 기준들과 측정 지표들에 대한 가중치를 도출하였다. 이를 통하여 사용자 관점의 SLA 지표 선정 방법에 대한 명확한 기준을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 학습자들의 학습특성 및 학습 능력에 따라 문제은행에서 문항을 선택하는 기준과 학습코스를 재구성하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 학습단계와 평가단계를 연계하여 평가 단계에서 추정된 학습자의 능력에 따라 차기 학습단계에서 수준별 학습내용을 재구성하여 학습자에게 제공함으로써 합리적인 학습이 가능하도록 지원하고 있다. 이를 위해 학습자의 학습능력을 정확하게 판단 할 수 있도록 문항반응 이론에 의한 학습자 능력평가 모듈을 만들고, 가중치 값을 갖는 문항특성모델을 개발하여 적용함으로써 학습과정의 우선순위를 부여하여 학습코스를 재구성하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • In recent years, strengthening educational accountability of school as the public institutions has been emphasized. Thus, most countries perform national student assessments and programme for international student assessment(PISA) in order to prove the educational accountability. The school library supported by the educational institutions are no exception, school library has demanding the educational accountability. The purpose of this study was to compare the reading domain of PISA and standards for the 21st-century learner of AASL, it is to investigate that the school library contributes to PISA achievement. In this study were analyzed domain of PISA 2009 reading literacy and questionnaires. The results, PISA questionnaire contains a lot of elements in the school library and PISA is consistent with standards for the 21st-century learner of AASL.

  • IT developed countries since the late 1980s are used to develop IT security evaluation criteria to ensure safety and reliability of information protection products. Currently a variety of products used for the evaluation based on CC and it takes a long period of product evaluation is required to reduce the developers and users. In this paper refer to the published standard evaluation schedule for the EAL4 calculation model offers a trial period. In addition, based on this commitment by adjusting the number of evaluaters to evaluate the applicant in the evaluation period to minimize the position offers.
