  • This study tried to illustrate the process of the experiences of university student athletes in campus who are engaged in study and sports. it is aimed to interpret and describe the everyday life of athlete students, and establishing a desirable human talent and to set the right necessary direction for the education of athlete students. For this, it selected 10 research participants as student athletes in J University located in Chungcheongnam-do and collected data through an in-depth interview. As for the data analysis, concepts were derived according to the grounded theory analysis method suggested by [10] and the research results composing the coding paradigm to clarify the relations between concepts are as following. First, 120 concepts, 17 subcategories, and 10 upper categories were deducted in the open coding. Second, the contextual factors of the campus life motive were "participation in sports" and "participation in study" and the central phenomena were regarded as "the significance of campus life in which study and sports run parallel. The conditions of arbitration were summarized as 'formation of my relations" and "ability improvement" in sports and study, and the operation/interaction strategy were categorized as "importance of study" and "negative thinking." As for the last result, "reflecting campus life", "my own identity", and "planning future" were categorized, and it is judged that the application of the policy to improve the ability of student athletes that comprehend all study and sports.

  • The purpose of this study was examined the effect of Tabata exercise using health care application on balance, gait and activities of daily living in patients with stroke. Twenty patients with stroke were participated patients with stroke in this study. Nineteen participants were randomly allocated to ten in experimental and nine in control groups. The both groups received the rehabilitation therapy during for 4 weeks. The experimental group performed Tabata exercise based on health care application, supervised under caregivers, during 30 min/day. The control group performed self-exercise supervised under caregivers, during 30 min/day. Both groups exercised for 4 weeks, 3 times a week, 30 min/day. Tabata exercise was trained by an physical and occupational therapists. The outcome measures were the BBS(: Berg Balance Scale), TUG(: Timed Up and Go, K-MBI(: Korean Modified Barthel Index). In results, the experimental groups showed a significant improvements after intervention in all assessments(p<.05), The control groups showed a significant improvements after intervention in BBS(p<.05) The experimental group showed a greater significant improvements than control group in TUG, BBS, K-MBI(p<.05). We suggest that Tabata exercise using health care application can have a effects of the improvements of balance, gait and activities of daily living than only self-exercise in patients with stroke.

  • This study is an experimental study to confirm the effect of self-care program on exercise performance self-efficacy, Knowledge of self-management and Performance of self-management in patients with lumbar disc removal. The subjects were 26 inpatients in the experimental group and 27 in the control group as inpatients at the D City Material Spine Hospital. The collected material was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program with mean, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, x2-test, Independent t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA. Hypothesis that after self-care program mediation, the experimental group had higher scores for orthosis management knowledge (p<.001) and daily life management knowledge (p=.005) as time passed compared to the unprovided control group. The hypothesis is that the experimental group provided with the self-care program has a performance of orthosis management(p=.011), higher degree of orthosis management performance (p=.011) and daily life management performance (p=.007) than the non-provided control group. Was supported. There, it was confirmed that it is an effective self-care program that can be easily applied at home to patients with lumbar disc removal from the day before surgery to after discharge.

  • Jump-rope is a simple and effective exercise, but its intensive exercise load and monotonous pattern make it difficult to perform consistent workout. On the other hand, jumping rope accompanies large amount of kinetic energy which can be converted into electrical energy. In this study, we designed and implemented a self-powered jump-rope which can support the low-power embedded Bluetooth system inside it. The embedded system wirelessly transmits the acceleration data measured during jumping-rope exercise to a smartphone. We also developed a smartphone app which can count the number of jumps and provide real-time feedback with sound and animated graphic effects in a game context. Pilot test using the prototype smart jump-rope verified that it can be useful to motivation for the jump-rope exercise and make the exercise more effective by providing users with precise information about their exercise. We expect that the developed self-powered jump-rope will change the exercise from an intensive physical activity into electricity-generating fun experience combined with smartphone game, which maximize the benefit of the consistent jump-rope exercise.

  • In this paper, we propose the relationship between the expectation of home training, exercise commitment, and exercise continuation intention. The subject of this study is the police officers belonging to the Busan and Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency as of March 2021. Among them, a survey was conducted targeting 337 people who had experience participating in home training. As a result of the study, first, it was found that the expectations of home training were significantly correlated with exercise immersion and exercise continuation intention factors. Second, it was found that the expectation of home training participants had a significant effect on exercise immersion and exercise continuation intention. Third, exercise immersion of home training participants was found to have a significant effect on exercise continuation intention. Home training will be usefully used to prepare physical conditions for various public safety situations. If you training with a long-term plan rather than short-term training, you will be able to achieve the effect that home training seeks.
