  • The purpose of this study was to identify the nursing students' COVID-19 vaccination intention based on health belief model. A total of 169 nursing students who were freshman to senior grade from one college participated in this study. An online self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection from April 5 to 16, 2021 and data were analyzed using the SPSS/Window 21.0 program. Multiple regression analysis conducted to verify the factors on COVID-19 vaccination intention. The significant influential factors for COVID-19 vaccination intention were self-efficacy(β=.345, p<.001), cues to action(β=.307, p<.001), perceived benefits(β =.143, p= .034), and knowledge(β=.116, p=.042). The model explained 50.8% of the variance in the COVID-19 vaccination intention. This result points to the importance of fostering nursing student's self-efficacy, cues to action, perceived benefits, and knowledge to promote COVID-19 vaccination uptake.

Methods: This program was developed based on the IMB (information-motivationbehavioral skills) model. The program methods include education, setting and achieving goals, sharing experiences, telephone counseling, and self-monitoring. The topics of the program include joint assessment, exercise, massage, joint protection, medication, depression management, diet, and healthcare approach. The research was conducted following the principles of the nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Participants were 26 subjects in the experimental group, and 27 subjects in the control group. The experimental group participated in the self-management program, and the control group received general education. Results: Both post-test scores of personal motivation, social motivation, behavior skill, self-management behavior, joint pain, joint stiffness, physical function disability, right knee extension, left knee extension, and depression were significantly different between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: The results of the study can be used to develop and standardize a systematic joint health self-management program. Further research is highly recommended to develop a strategy to continuously facilitate self-management of osteoarthritis patients' procedures.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating and moderating effects of organizational citizenship behavior on the relationship between nursing performance and turnover intention. Data were collected from 439 nurses in 3 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals and analyzed by PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The findings were as follows. The correlation coefficients of the study variables were all statistically significant. The organizational citizenship behavior showed mediating effects between the nursing performance and turnover intention. On the other hand, organizational citizenship behavior did not have moderating effects. Various strategies that are purposed to enhancing organizational citizenship behavior among nurses should be developed to reduce turnover intention of nurse who have high nursing performance.

  • This cross-sectional correlational study investigated factors affecting career planning of nursing students, focusing on the associations between satisfaction of academic major, perceived professional competence, and job expectations. Data from 255 nursing students were collected through self-administered questionnaire surveys on 2016 January 4 and 7 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, t-tests, bootstrapping SPSS macro and path analysis using AMOS. There were significant correlations between major satisfaction, professional competence, and job expectations. Both major satisfaction and professional competence were significant factors influencing job expectations, but their effects on job expectations were significantly different depending on whether there was a role-model, which support a moderating effect of having a role-model. Major satisfaction had a significant direct effect on career planning, but its indirect effect on career planning through job expectations was not significant. Professional competence did not have a significant direct effect on career planning, but its indirect effect on career planning through job expectations was significant. Overall, the results highlight the importance of providing educational support and opportunities for nursing students to explore their own motivation and to have a role-model during pursuit of a nursing career.
