The Facade Improvement of Complexed Commercial Building Considering Open Signboard - Focused on Commercial district in Chnagwon - (옥외광고물 설치를 고려한 복합상업건물 입면개선 - 창원시 일반상업지구를 중심으로 -)

  • In these days, open signboard system is controlled by administrative policy and law, but there is no consideration for different types of building. As such, this study aims to propose planning criteria for streetside commercial buildings, such as elevation and mass design of buildings, layout of signboard attached to the building elevation with consideration for streetscape. In mass planning for streetside commercial buildings, the building type with front open space keeps lower open signboard density than the building type directly leading to the street. It is desirable that open signboard of lower floor part is attached by a horizontal type, open signboard of low medium floor part by a projected vertical type, open signboard of high medium floor part and roof part with a minumum attachment of open signboard. As for elevation planning relative to open signboard, it is desirable that an irregular wall type is more useful than a regular wall type to control open signboard. And in all cases, horizontal element facade has a handicap to control the quantity of signboard. If the building has a corner, the piloti should be used in the corner of lower story for smooth circulation of pedestrians and emphasizing the transparency of elevation. Specially, in the case of a round corner, the corner should be emphasized by the composition of high transparent mass.

  • This study is aimed to investigate the characteristics of the elevations in the contemporary multi-family residential buildings in Paris. The survey was performed by studying 30 buildings which had won the multi-family residential project competitions, held in Paris in 2011. Since 30 buildings in the survey will be constructed in Paris in a couple of years, current trends of the elevations of the multi-family residential buildings can be extracted. Historically and also currently, in France, the multi-family housing has been studied to solve the various social problems; especially in Paris where the historical buildings and the modern and the contemporary buildings stand together in perfect harmony. The uniform elevations of the multi-family residential buildings in Korea, have been consist problems in the country. By studying the building elevations in Paris, the solutions to solve the current problems and to improve the situation, can be found. The study will be discussed in three different categories. First of all, the volume and the mass of building in the survey buildings, will be analyzed. Secondly, the openings in the facade, such as the windows and the balconies of the survey projects, will be analyzed. Finally, the materials and the colors of the facade will be discussed. By analyzing the elevations of the multi-family residential building projects, which had won the competitions, and are soon to be built in Paris, the various experiments and the attempts in building elevations, currently happening in Paris which is mostly known as a Haussmann style city, can be presumed, as well as the willingness of the city to reserve the historic buildings in the city.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the various cinematic gaze and its realization through Seojong MA-Residence in Yangpyeong-gun, completed in 2016. This paper will focus on what kinds of cinematic concepts and design ideas were selected and considered in the stage of concept design, then how the site plan, floor plan, elevation and section design were developed in the stage of schematic design, and finally how much of the design intentions were successfully realized to the residential building. Architectural sketches, physical models and drawings at the concept & schematic design stage were reviewed. After the construction, some important issues were successfully realized such as interesting cinematic views to outside, visual openness and inflow of sunlight.

  • Display in commercial space is one of the most important fields in modem advanced industrial sectors as means of promoting the volume of sales. Additionally, consummers' preferences are more complicated and various than before because of improvement of quality of life. In order to satisfy the various comsumer's desire, the role of display must be an important factor in commercial space. On the other hand, the facade of commercial buildings in the concept of visual merchandising has important effect on the commercial space such as layout of a shop, setting up presentation space, and visual expression. The structure of the facade of the store provides not only an advertising function but also an important position to the composition of external space. Besides, enterance space is a part of a store, and it is closely related to outdoor space. Therefore, the relationship between a store and outdoor space should be carefully considered in terms of functional and expressional problems.This study introduces all sort of characteristics of the facade of enterance speac in the commercial buildings. It also investigates the relationship among the characteristics. Moreover, it analyzes the effect of facade style on shop environment such as zonning, inducement plan, and allocation plan. For the purpose of this study, 57 fashion stores, located in Myung-Dong(Seoul), are investigated. Based on the sample, this study analyzes the relationship between the facade style and visual presentation. Finally, it suggests the desirable direction of space composition based upon the concept of visual merchandising.

A Study on the Standard Drawings of Seoul Middle School Architecture in 1975 (1975년 서울시 중학교 표준설계도에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to analyze the 'Standard Drawings for School Facilities' issued by Seoul Education Committee in 1975 because it is the early example for middle school architecture. The results of this study are summarized as follows 1) In general trend of single-corridor type block plan, there are also changes in floor plan like no-corridor type block plan, $9.9{\times}6.6m$ classroom unit for the better daylight condition, built-in storage for students. 2) As for elevation design, it is characterized as daylight-oriented, functional exterior for without making full use of design elements. 3) Standardized dimensions are used as a rule in the height of story, ceiling, window sill and etc. Transitional characteristics of the early RC school architecture are found in exposed ceiling, incomplete insulation structure and mixed use of wood framed floor of earlier type. 4) Contrast to main school building, gymnasium shows the intend to express the symbolism of school architecture with diverse elevation design elements and the plasticity of building mass. 5) Separated plan of toilet and night-duty building also show the transitional characteristics. As conclusion, though showing the stereotyped school architecture, on the other hand, 'Standard Drawings for School Facilities' (1975) makes it possible to see the way of coping with the demands for school architecture in that time and the transition of school architecture. This is the main value of it as the material for the studies related to the history of educational facilities.

The Color Analysis Based on Formative Continuity of the Facade (파사드의 형태적 연속성에 따른 색채분석)

  • The facade in the street is a unfixed type, thus it is not easy to investigate the characteristic of structures. In addition, a color mainly depends on sensitivity, therefore, it is very difficult to provide the solution of the problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between a form of the facade and a color, and to introduce the methodology and the direction of the color scheme for the facade in the street. for the purpose of this study, 47 facades are empirically analyzed. Based upon the results of research analysis, this study try to find out the relationship among the formative continuity of the facade in the street, a color, and the quality of the material. From the results, it suggests the new direction for the image formation of the facade in the street centering around a color. This study concludes that the characteristics of the facade in the street is discontinuous, and the color scheme is not based on the formative continuity. Moreover, the whole street is composed of each strong individual character. In order to harmonious creation of the facade in the street, primary colors and painting colors should be constrained. Finally, the color scheme based on the formative continuity of the facade in the street should be carefully considered.

A Study on the Visual Elevation Image of Apartment Buildings (아파트 입면계획에서 시각적 디자인 이미지에 관한 연구)

  • This study is aimed to propose the evaluation model of forecasting visual quality of apartment buildings, which would be a useful tool to make the architectural concepts corresponding to user needs. This study was carried out through the four-step experiments as follows. The first step is to take the user's visual evaluation construct. To do this, the 22 adjective phrases were extracted, which were applicable to all apartment buildings. The second step is to analyze the user's visual preference, which is measured by the user's psychological quantity on the apartment buildings by S. D.(Semantic Differential) Method. The third step is to analyzethe five psychological-factors obtained from the Factor Analysis. The perceptual images on the 41 experimental subjects were checked up through evaluating and analyzing the factor scores of each subjects for each psychological-factor. The fourth step is to analyze, the similarity of various characters in a building, which is mirrored on the user's psychological quantity and how buildings are grouped by it.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of elevation design of apartment buildings in other countries, in order to search the new directions of elevation design planning of domestic apartment, so it can plan the qualitative improvement of housing environments can be fulfilled. This study will proceed to examine the following phase. As a preliminary study it trys to classify the formal characteristics of foreign apartment, in order to grasp the seven general ideas and methods of the elevation design through analyzing various design samples of well designed housing buildings. And it searches the variatino methods of the elevation design, and it can suggest the diverse elevation design samples of housing buildings.

  • 유역의 자연 유출량이 줄어드는 갈수기 동안 낙동강 본류의 수질은 상류지역의 댐 방류량에 큰 영향을 받는다. 따라서 수질이 취약한 중 하류부지역의 수량과 수질을 종합적으로 고려한 낙동강 수계의 물 관리를 위해서는 댐 방류량과 하류 수질의 정량적인 관계에 근거한 다목적댐군의 연계운영이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 정상상태 하천수질모델을 이용하여 낙동강수계 다목적댐군의 방류량과 하류 하천의 수질 관계를 정량적으로 분석하고, 갈수기 동안 낙동강 수질개선을 위해 필요한 적정 댐 용수공급 시나리오를 제시하는데 있다. 낙동강수계 댐 군의 하류 하천 수질을 고려한 저수지운영 계획 수립을 지원하기 위하여 1차원 정상상태 수질예측모델인 QUAL2E를 구축하고 실측 유량과 수질자료를 이용하여 모델을 보정하고 검증하였다. 검증된 모델은 낙동강수계 상류에 위치한 안동댐, 임하댐, 그리고 중 하류 지류에 위치한 합천댐과 남강댐의 용수공급 시나리오별 하천 수질개선 효과를 분석하는데 적용하였다. 연구결과 낙동강 수질이 악화되는 갈수기 동안 중 하류부에 위치한 상수원의 수질을 개선하기 위해서는 합천댐과 남강댐에서보다는 상류에 위치한 안동댐과 임하댐에서 용수를 추가 공급하는 것이 더욱 효과적인 것으로 평가되었다. 댐 방류량 증감에 따라 수질영향을 가장 크게 받는 하천구간은 수질오염도가 가장 크게 나타나는 금호강합류점${\sim}$고령교구간인 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과는 낙동강과 같이 수량이 부족한 하천은 오염부하량 삭감 대책과 함께 갈수기 유량조절이 매우 중요한 요소임을 보여주며, 주기적인 수질악화를 겪는 낙동강 중 하류 지역의 수질개선을 위한 상류 다목적댐군의 연계운영 계획 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.치모의 결과와 현장에서 관측한 유속장을 비교함으로써 본 연구에서 제시한 실제 탁수배제능력을 검증하였다.를 구축하였다는데 의의가 있다.로와 접하는 건물의 경우 모서리부 광고 효과가 지배적이며 대부분 곡선돌출형이 사용되고 있었다. 그러므로 모서리 저층부를 필로티로 계획하여 보행흐름을 원활하게 하고 대신 입면을 투명하게 하여 간접광고(내부전시) 효과를 유도하는 것이 좋다. 특히 원형모서리는 건물 특화 성격이 강하므로 불가피할 경우 소형 액센트 광고 위치를 미리 벽면으로 할애하는 것이 경관 및 입면계획에 유리한 것으로 분석되었다. 불확실도 해석모형 등의 새로운 기능을 추가하여 제시하였다. 모든 입출력자료는 프로젝트 단위별로 운영되어 data의 관리가 손쉽도록 하였으며 결과를 DB에 저장하여 다른 모형에서도 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 HyGIS-HMS 및 HyGIS-RAS 모형에서 강우-유출-하도 수리해석-범람해석 등이 일괄되게 하나의 시스템 내에서 구현될 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 HyGIS와 통합된 수리, 수문모형은 국내 하천 및 유역에 적합한 시스템으로서 향후 HydroInformatics 구현을 염두에 둔 특화된 국내 수자원 분야 소프트웨어의 개발에 기본 토대를 제공할 것으로 판단된다.았다. 또한 저자들의 임상병리학적 연구결과가 다른 문헌에서 보고된 소아 신증후군의 연구결과와 큰 차이를 보이지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 자극에 차이가 있지 않나 추측되며 이에 관한 추후 연구가 요망된다. 총대장통과시간의 단축은 결장 분절 모두에서 줄어들어 나타났으나 좌측결장 통과시간의 감소 및 이로 인한 이 부위의 통과시간 비율의 저하가 가장 주요하였다. 이러한 결과는 차가운 생수 섭취가 주로 결장 근위부를 자극하는 효과를 발휘하는 것이

  • How can new media devices and networks provide an effective response to the world's growing sector of cultural and historically-minded travelers? This study emerged from the question of how mobile handsets can change the nature of cultural and historical tourism in ubiquitous city environments. As wireless network and mobile IT have rapidly developed, it becomes possible to deliver cultural and historical information on the site through mobile handset as a tour guidance system. The paper describes the development of a new type of mobile tourism platform for site-specific cultural and historical information. The central objective of the project was to organize this cultural and historical walking tour around the mobile handset and its unique advantages (i.e. portability, multi-media capacity, access to wireless internet, and location-awareness potential) and then integrate the tour with a historical story and role-playing game that would deepen the mobile user's interest in the sites being visited, and enhance his or her overall experience of the area. The project was based on twelve locations that were culturally and historically significant to Korean War era in Busan. After the mobile tour game prototype was developed for this route, it was evaluated at the 10th PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival). After use test, some new strategies for developing mobile "edutainment content" to deliver cultural historical contents of the location were discussed. Combining 'edutainment' with a cultural and historical mobile walking tour brings a new dimension to existing approaches of the tourism and mobile content industry.
