With the development of treatment of hard and soft tissue around the implants, the implant restoration is increasingly used in the maxillary anterior region which is very important aesthetically. However, the aesthetic reconstruction of the maxillary anterior region is still challenged. Three following conditions should be fully satisfied for aesthetic prosthesis restoration; reconstruction of hard tissue, soft tissue and harmonic prosthesis. In this case report, hard and soft tissue augmentations were performed at atrophied maxillary incisor. Additionally, customized impression coping and provisional restoration were used to make the final restoration.

Removal of excess cement is important to prevent biological complication in cementation of implant restoration with subgingival margin. It can be difficult to completely remove excess cement. Several techniques have been introduced to minimize excess cement using abutment replica. In this case report, a simple method for making abutment replica with hot melt adhesive material in dental office was described. This technique is simple and effective because it can be used for pre-fabricated or custom abutment without additional laboratory procedure. In addition, it can minimize excess cement after cementation of implant restoration.
Purpose: This study systematically examines literatures on the suitability of prostheses and accuracy of obtained impressions to see if digital impressions using intraoral scanners can replace traditional impressions. Materials and methods: A MEDLINE/PubMed search and manual search was performed for studies written in English about accuracy of digital impression published in dental journals from August 1, 1997, to July 31, 2017. Depending on criteria, the data for the selected articles were independently organized into standardized spreadsheets by 2 reviewers. Results: Among the total 35 studies met the inclusion criteria, there were 26 studies comparing the suitability of prostheses, and 9 studies comparing the accuracy of impressions through scan data without prostheses. Most studies used prostheses to compare the accuracy of impression techniques. Conclusion: This review suggests that making single crown or mesio-distally short prostheses with digital impressions is clinically reliable in natural teeth. However, there is still a limit to making mesio-distally long prostheses with digital impressions from the lack of related studies. Digital impression cannot fully replace traditional impressions in implant prostheses yet.

This study evaluated the effect of 3 different compatible screws on the detorque values in a multiple implant-supported superstructure and single implant abutments. An implant superstructure directly connected to 4 implants was screwed to 6 experimental dental stone casts made by acrylic resin splinted impressions, using 20 Ncm. The detorque values of screws were measured twice. Three compatible abutment screws used in this study were TorqTite screw, Gold-Tite screw, and, Titanium screw. And, using single implant abutments (GoldAdapt Engaging abutments), the detorque values of 3 different screws were measured twice on 2 implants of 5 experimental casts. According to statistical analysis of detorque values using mixed model at a .05 level of significance, no statistically significant differences among 3 different compatible screws were found in a multiple implant-supported superstructure (p>0.05). But, in single implant abutments, statistically significant differences among 3 different compatible screws were found (p=0.0175). The detorque values of TorqTite(p=0.0462) and Titanium(p=0.0348) screws were significantly higher than those of Gold-Tite screw, but no statisticantly significantlydifferences were found between TorqTite and Titanium screws(p>0.05). Therefore, various compatible screws showed significant effects on the detorque values for single implant abutment, but, showed no significant effects for a multiple implant-supported superstructure.
Implant assisted removable partial denture (IARPD) has been practiced in various forms for a long time, and among them, implant surveyed crown RPD is gaining predictability as well as being considered as a treatment option for patients with anatomical and financial disadvantages. The position of implant could be divided as posterior placement or anterior placement according to the purpose of the treatment and should be planned in consider to the alveolar ridge of patient, anticipated prognosis of remaining teeth, and opposing dentition. This case report describes a treatment for mandibular Kennedy class I partial edentulous patient with two implant-supported surveyed crown and implant assisted removable partial denture. Given the difficulty of posterior placement in this patient and the prognosis of the residual teeth, the plan was to place two implants in close proximity to the residual teeth, which were placed in the planned position, angle, and depth using guided surgery. The process of fabricating the fixed prosthesis was carried out in parallel with the maxillary edentulous tooth arrangement process to increase predictability, and when fabricating the localized tooth, the implant was designed in a form that allows the patient to perform functional movements by preventing excessive loading as the last supporting tooth, and was fabricated through a secondary impression process. Each treatment procedure was proceeded as planned, with aesthetically and functionally satisfactory results for both patient and operator.
This clinical case highlights the failure of long length implants, and the prosthodontic procedures necessary to rehabilitate the maxillary dentition of a patient with microstomia. The integrated digital technology of intra-oral scanning, computer-aided design, and three-dimensional printing can provide an alternative method to make conventional impressions for patients with microstomia who cannot insert the appropriate tray in their mouths.

With a development of implant restoration technique, there are increasing use of computer-guided system for edentulous patients. It was carried out simulated operation based on CT information about patient's bone quantity, quality and anatomical landmark. However, there are some difference between the programmed implant and post-operative implant about it's position. If the deviation was severe, it could happen a failure of 'passive fit' and not suited for path of implant restoration. The aim of this presentation is to evaluate about a degree of deviations between programmed implant and post-operative implant. Five patients treated by 'NobelGuide' system (Nobel Biocare AB, G$\ddot{o}$teborg, Sweden) in Department of Prosthodontics, Inha University were included in this study. The patients were performed CT radiograph taking and intra-oral impression taking at pre-operation. Based on CT images and study model, surgical stent was produced by NobelBiocareTM. To fabricated a pre-operative study model, after connected lab analog to surgical template, accomplished a pre-operative model using type 4 dental stone. At final impression, a post-operative study model was fabricated in the conventional procedures. Each study model was performed CT radiograph taking. Based on CT images, each implant was simulated in three dimensional position using $Procera^{(R)}$ software (Procera Software Clinical Design Premium, version 1.5; Nobel Biocare AB). In 3D simulated model, length and angulation between each implant of both pre- and post-operative implants were measured and recorded about linear and angular deviation between pre-and post-operative implants. A total of 24 implants were included in this study and 58 inter-implant sites between each implant were measured about linear and angular deviations. In the linear deviation a mean deviation of 0.41 mm (range 0~1.7 mm) was reported. In the angular deviation, a mean deviation was $1.99^{\circ}$ (range $0^{\circ}{\sim}6.7^{\circ}$). It appears that the both linear and angular mean deviation value were well acceptable to application of computer-guided implant system.

A variety of digital technologies are being used throughout the entire implant treatment process of diagnosis, surgery, impression, design, and fabrication of prostheses. In this case, using a digital surgical guide, sinus floor elevation was performed without complications, and the implants were placed in the planned position. After the healing period for osseointegration, CAD-CAM (Computer-aided design-Computer-aided manufacturing) customized abutments and provisional prostheses were delivered. While using the provisional prosthesis, occlusal change was observed. To transfer the intermaxillary relationship and abutment position that reflect occlusal change and axial displacement, double scanning and abutment-level digital impressions were taken. Abutment superimposition was used to capture the subgingival margin without gingival retraction. Then, the definitive prosthesis was designed and fabricated with digital system. We report a case applying digital system, to achieve the predictable result as well as the efficient treatment process from implant surgery to fabricating prosthesis in the posterior area.
When restoring with a dental digital system for implant-supported prosthesis, a double digital scanning technique is required: an intraoral scan of the three-dimensional implant location and intraoral scan after placement of temporary denture or provisional prosthesis. During the intraoral scan, the use of scan body as a stable landmark can improve the accuracy of digital impression and simplify laboratory process. In this case, a full-digital system was used to plan and fabricate a custom abutment, provisional prosthesis, and definitive prosthesis. After implant placement, the scan area of the intraoral scan body connected with implant and the intraoral scan body marked on the inside of temporary denture were superimposed. Out of the superimposed files, a custom abutment and provisional prosthesis were fabricated which match the vertical dimension of temporary denture, and definitive prosthesis was fabricated based on provisional prosthesis. We report this case because result has been functionally and esthetically satisfactory by using vertical dimension and central relation set during the fabrication of temporary denture to the definitive prosthesis.

In the case of fully edentulous patients with severe alveolar bone resorption, the consideration of 'All-on-X' implant-supported fixed prosthesis after placing four or more implants in the anterior maxilla is possible. Recent advancements in digital dentistry have enabled systematic and predictable treatment in all phases, including diagnosis, surgery, and prosthesis fabrication. By incorporating digital dentistry techniques such as digital complete denture, implant surgical guides, facial scanning into the conventional restoration process, it is possible to reduce the complexity of the prosthesis fabrication and effectively achieve the transition from provisional prosthesis to definitive prosthesis in terms of both aesthetics and function.
