A Study on correlation of General manager's leadership of Hotel employees (호텔 총지배인리더십의 종사원 관리에 관한 중요도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to show the optimal leadership model based on general manager management that is related to hotel employees, which may then be applied to ideal hotel management in Korea. The variables analyzed in this study are employee-management relations from the lowest ranking employee to the highest level of management, with communication and job understanding held common among the subjects. This study looks in detail at four main concepts. Firstly, the employees are encouraged to put forth their best efforts through the standardization of the requirements and regulations of the job and ensuring product suitability. Secondly, the cultivation of new hotel culture empowers the employees. The third point taken into account is the encouragement of employees to take pride in the work they do, which is done through a kind of reward system and salary. The final point considered is the empowerment of employees, which results in employee commitment to the job.

Union Substitution Strategy and Human Resource Management by Non-Unionized Valero Energy Co. (비노조기업 Valero Energy의 노조대체전략과 인적자원관리)

  • This study is a case study about the Valero Energy Corporation, the largest American independent refinery company, examining the characteristics of human resource management as a union avoidance strategy. The main research questions here are whether union substitution strategy differs clearly from union suppression strategy in the context of Valero Energy. Since the establishment in 1980, the Valero had maintained non-union tradition. The typical examples of human resource management in the non-unionized American companies are easily found in the Valero, such as strong CEO leadership, manpower policy emphasizing corporate culture and teamwork, direct communication between company and individual employees, no lay-off policy and no outsourcing policy of HRM, salary level around average of industry and best level of fringe benefits in the industry, non-union tradition and well-functioned alternative dispute resolution system and so on. Until now, based on tremendous growth and profitability, the company have applied union substitution method adopted by good companies as concrete method of union avoidance strategy instead of union suppression method that marginal enterprise prefers.

  • Construction equipment plays an important role as one of resources in construction process. It is obvious that the machine intensive construction method achieves productivity and quality improvement as well as safety improvement. The number of registered construction equipment in Korea is over 320,000 in 2005 according to the national statistics safety, but recent crisis of construction equipment industrialist has been deepen by lack of skilled workers, rise in wages, diminution of working and etc. The main objective of this paper is to propose an improved management and application policy for the better construction equipment utilization. A classification method for construction equipment and a licensing system for construction equipment operators are newly suggested to revise the Construction Equipment Management Law. In order to satisfy the objective, this research performs literature reviews on domestic and overseas related laws and regulations for operating license, and conducts surveys and interviews with experts in the field of construction equipment industry. The results of this research can be considered as an important reference to update the Law that can improve construction productivity and equipment operating rate.

A Study on Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction of Chinese Bankers and the Moderating Effect of Demographic Characteristics (중국은행원들의 직무만족 영향요인과 인구통계학적 특성의 조절효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact on job satisfaction of the chinese bank staff by judging their motivators and hygiene factors. To explore the regulation of demographic characteristics between motivators, hygiene factors and job satisfaction. In the banking organization through the use of various elements of motivation duties assigned to meet organizational objectives put forward in order to achieve an effective incentive scheme given. In summary the results of analysis, the impact on motivator and job satisfaction in the work itself the result of regression analysis, promotion and recognition of the growth and job satisfaction in order to affect a positive sense of accomplishment and responsibility on the other hand, the task appeared was found not to affect satisfaction. The motivators of the bankers its positive influence on job satisfaction than hygiene factors were relatively high. And moderating effect of demographic characteristics and to validate the results, demographic characteristics and health factors are motivation and job satisfaction in the relationship between the presence of the control effect was analyzed. The relationship between motivation and job satisfaction is the demographic characteristics were analyzed to control that acts as a tour director, Hygiene factors influence job satisfaction is based on demographic characteristics was analyzed the age and education have been shown to exist, while Sex, tours, position the relationship between job satisfaction and hygiene factors do not exist in the control effect was analyzed.

북한(北韓)의 경제개발전략(經濟開發戰略)의 구조적(構造的) 문제점(問題點)

  • 북한(北韓)의 경제개발전략(經濟開發戰略)의 제특징(諸特徵)은 저렴한 농산물가격(農産物價格)에 의한 농업부분(農業部分)에서의 잉여(剩餘), 저임금(低賃金)에 의한 도시노동자(都市勞動者)들로부터의 잉여(剩餘)를 가지고 경제발전(經濟發展)을 이룩하는 것이라 요약할 수 있다. 농민(農民), 도시노동자(都市勞動者) 양측(兩測)을 희생시키면서 유지되어 온 이러한 성장구조(成長構造)는 원래 같으면 저농산물가격(低農産物價格)${\rightarrow}$저임금(低賃金)${\rightarrow}$축적자금확대(蓄積資金擴大)${\rightarrow}$재투자(再投資)${\rightarrow}$생산량증가(生産量增加)${\rightarrow}$소비수준 (消費水準) 증가(增加)로 점진적으로 발전해야만 하는 것이다. 하지만 이러한 성장전략(成長戰略)은 처음부터 철저히 부정되어 왔다. 먼저 농촌부분(農村部分)부터 보면 농촌협동조합(農村協同組合)에서의 소유제도(所有制度), 분배제도(分配制度)의 문제(問題)로 인해 농민(農民)의 근로의욕(勤勞意欲)이 크게 상실되었고 그 결과(結果) 농업생산(農業生産)은 저하되었다. 한편 도시부분(都市部分)에서는 인민(人民)들의 저소비(低消費)의 결과(結果)로 축적된 자금(資金)이 군사부분(軍事部分)에 집중적으로 투자됨으로 인해 그 투자효과(投資效果)가 제 구실을 못하게 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 자급자족지향형(自給自足指向型)의 중공업화(重工業化)는 중공업(重工業)과 관련산업(關聯産業) 상호간(相互間)의 수요(需要)만을 충족시켜 왔다. 그 외에 기업(企業)이 국가(國家)의 지령(指令)에 의해서만 움직이는 국영기업관리체제(國營企業管理體制)의 비효율성(非效率性)도 지금의 북한경제(北韓經濟)를 침체(沈滯)의 늪에서 헤어나지 못하게 하는 주요(主要)한 요인(要因)으로 작용했다. 농업생산(農業生産)의 정체(停滯), 중공업(重工業)을 위한 중공업정책(重工業政策)이라고 하는 왜곡된 투자구조(投資構造), 기업관리체제(企業管理體制)의 비효율성(非效率性)은 북한(北韓)의 계획경제순환구조(計劃經濟循環構造)를 기본(基本)부터 뒤흔들기 시작하면서, 급기야 1980년대 후반부터는 순환구조(循環構造) 그 자체(自體)를 마비시키는 사태(事態)로까지 발전했다. 순환구조(循環構造)의 마비(痲痺)라고 하는 심각한 경제난(經濟難)을 타개하기 위해 북한(北韓)은 나진(羅津) 선봉(先鋒) 자유경제무역지대(自由經濟貿易地帶)를 설치(設置)하고 새로운 자금축적원(資金蓄積源)으로서 외국인직접투자(外國人直接投資)를 유치하는 개방정책(開放政策)을 추진하여 왔다. 하지만 북한(北韓)의 경제(經濟) 순환구조(循環構造)의 마비(痲痺)를 풀 수 있는 근본적(根本的)인 해법(解法)은 어디까지나 그 발단(發端)인 농촌(農村)의 경제체제개혁(經濟體制改革), 농(農) 경공업(輕工業)을 위한 중공업(重工業), 국영기업(國營企業)의 개혁(改革) 등을 과감히 실시하는 것이다. 왜냐하면 해외직접투자(海外直接投資)라는 새로운 자금축적원(資金蓄積源)은 어디까지나 지금의 악순환구조(惡循環構造)를 임시적(臨時的)으로 정지시켜 주는 보완적(補完的)인 조치(措置)에 불과하기 때문이다.

Analysis of the Factors Influencing the Image of the Construction Industry (건설 산업 이미지 영향 요인 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The construction industry has been leading the growth of the nation's economy not only by providing with various infrastructure projects but also by positively impaction related industries such as crating numerous job opportunities. Relevant statistics show the production amount of construction taking about 17.5% of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In spite of its positive impacts on the economy, image of Korea construction industry is generally reflected as negative mainly because of its environmental disruption, low payment, bribe, fraudulent work and inefficiency. It brings students to be reluctant choosing the construction industry as their carrier path and governmental and principal research status. Therefore it has been difficult to recruit highly qualitied human resources to the industry while the morale of the whole industry has gradually become demoralized. To improve this stand, many domestic researchers carried out research projects for improving the image of Korea Construction Industry. This study also sympathizes with necessity of improving the negative image of construction industry to remain as one of the leading industry in the 21st century. Especially, this study focused on finding important factors which have significant influences on the image of the industry. Through out the research, image influence factors was identified by rigorous literature review and interviews as industrial and academic experts. Factors, then, categorized and used as the main framework for the survey which designed to fine the degree of impacts on the image of the construction industry. In analyzing the survey results, various statistical techniques was employed including factor analysis, Chi-Square-Test, Correlation Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. Identified as the most influent factors to the image of the construction industry include morale of construction employee, and prospects the industry which of the judgement by payment, impacts on nation's economy, future of the industry, etc.

The Effect of Rating Criteria of Construction Skilled Workers' Rank System on Policy Purpose (건설기능인등급제의 등급기준이 정책목표에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is aiming to analyze the relevance of rating criteria and these criteria may have effects on policy purpose of 'Construction Skilled Workers' Rank System', that are inflow of new comer, improvement of job performance, and decrease job-change. Closely related systems, electronic card system and prevailing wage system, are considered by assuming three scenarios, although they are not introduced yet. Empirical survey shows that the relevance is above average. The empirical result of regression also predicts that policy target might be mostly satisfied. Policy purpose is regressed on rating criteria, they are career, qualification, education and training, award. Career and award have positive impact on inflow of new comer. All four criteria have significant impacts on improvement of job performance. Award has strong effects on decreasing job-change. Especially, when electronic card system and prevailing wage system are adopted simultaneously with 'Construction Skilled Workers' Rank System', the level of satisfaction of policy purpose would be higher.

A Study of Career-interrupted Women's Vocational Training and Career Management System for NCS Diffusion (NCS 확산을 위한 경력단절여성 직업교육과 커리어관리 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The career management concept is changing rapidly in the career management field in recent years. It becomes very difficult to have a lifetime employment within the same firm. As there is career interruption that is pervasive phenomenon in the women's career management area, many academics and practitioners have been interested in it. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of women's career-interruptions as the effective career strategy on career development actors and career success. To test the effects of the proactive career management of career-interrupted women, data were divided into two groups including proactive career management group and general career management group based on whether career-interruptions are voluntary or not. The results showed that the proactive development actors was significantly different depending on women's proactive career management and general career management group. First, proactive-career women were more self-directed to learn and have a significant impact on developing skills through training. Second, the career successes were not significantly different depending on and general career management group.

  • The purpose of this study is to promote efficiency of hospital management with customer satisfaction by understanding qualitative system about more systemic hospital service coordinator's job under analyzing the satisfactory degree and coherence of hospital service coordinator's job because of increase of customer need level by medical environment improvement and the variety of offering method of medical service. I allocated a questionnaire per each dental clinic at total 226. According to the study results stated above, generally necessity on employment of a coordinator appeared high and to the necessity, I considered that a dental clinic coordinator's job must strengthen the role for going still more to customer with discriminated mind and service not simple kind service to medical consumer, with establishing more systematic and realistic educational culture in qualification and educational department of a dental coordinator. Also a dental coordinator must be changed to promote customer satisfaction and efficiency of hospital management by more systematic business assignment and role establishment.

  • 최근 전 세계적 기상이변으로 홍수 가뭄 폭설 혹서 혹한 등의 재해 때문에 많은 사람들이 고통에 시달리고 있다. 기상이변으로 인한 재해는 과거에도 존재하였으며 한민족의 역사와 함께하였다. 온고이지신가 이위사의(溫故而知新可以爲師矣)는 논어의 위정편(爲政編)에 나오는 공자의 말씀이다. '옛 것을 익혀 새것을 알면 남의 스승이 될 수 있다'라는 뜻으로 재난을 연구하는 연구자의 입장에서 보면 반드시 새겨둘 구절이다. 역사 속에서 자연재해는 군주(君主)의 부덕(不德)이나 실정(失政)의 소치(所致)로 여겨지고 나아가서는 왕조나 국운의 쇠퇴와도 관련이 이어지기까지 했다. 이미 과거 자연기록에 있었던 일들이며 이러한 사실은 세계문화유산으로 지정된 "조선왕조실록"을 통해 조선시대의 자연재해 기록을 살펴볼 수 있다. "조선왕조실록"을 보면 경술년 현종 11년(1670년 5월 2일) "가없는 우리백성들이 무슨 죄가 있단 말인가. 아, 허물은 나에게 있는데, 어째서 재앙은 백성에게 내린단 말인가." 1671년 말 경신대기근으로 인한 사망자 수가 100만 명에 이른다고 기록도 있다. 기양의례'란 가뭄, 홍수, 전염병 같은 자연재해만이 아니라 개인의 질병과 불행 등 일상적인 삶의 조건을 위협하는 상황이 닥쳤을 때 이를 소멸하고자 거행하는 대표적인 재난문화의 종류이며 비정기적 의례를 의미한다. 조선시대에 기양의례는 재난대응의 상징적인 의미를 갖고 있다. 현재의 우리나라로 보면 재난안전대책 본부와 비견할 수 있다. 조선시대에는 "기양의례"를 통해 임금을 포함한 조정이 적극적 해결의지를 천명하고 각 고을의 관리와 지방군을 동원하여 수습 복구에 최선을 다했다. 부세를 견감하고 구제곡을 지급하는 등의 진휼정책이 뒤따랐다. 백성들도 오가작통제와 향약을 통해 환난상휼을 실천하였다. 이처럼 조선시대에는 비록 기술적인 부분은 미약했지만 재난대응의 체계만큼은 상당히 앞서있었다. 본 연구에서는 조선시대의 강원도 영동지방 자연재난사례를 조선왕조실록을 통해 조사하고 재난에 대응하기 위한 재난문화를 조사하고자 한다.
