Measurement of Uptake Rates of Internal Organs Including Thyroid Gland and Daily Urinary Excretion Rates for Adult Korean Males (한국남자 성인을 대상으로 한 방사성옥소($^{131}I$)의 갑상선 및 각 장기별 잔류율과 소변 일일배설률 측정)

  • In this study, uptake rates of internal organs and daily urinary excretion rates were measured to get more reliable estimation results for Korean. Radioactive iodine($^{131}I$) of $100{\mu}Ci$ was administered by ingestion to 28 adult males for the experiment and then the radioactivity in thyroid gland, liver, stomach, small intestine, kidneys, and urine was measured after time intervals of 2, 4, 6 and 24 hours. Uptake rates of each organ and daily urinary excretion rates were calculated on the basis of these experimental results. As a result, uptake rates of 19.70% for thyroid and daily urinary excretion rates of 71.12%, on the average, were indicated. The maximum of uptake rates and daily urinary excretion rates were recorded after 2 hours of administration of $^{131}I$, but those rates were decreased gradually later. It was also found that uptake rates were the highest in stomach, followed by the left kidney, liver, small intestine and right kidney except for thyroid gland. In this experiment, the calculated uptake change rate in thyroid gland after 24 hours of administration of $^{131}I$ was different from that of ICRP-54/67(30%) and ICRP-78(25%). Thus, it is necessary to apply more reliable approach, reflecting the characteristic of Korean physiology and to obtain the basic data of results using this approach for calculation of the internal adsorbed dose. In the future, this approach can be helpful for the internal dose assessment of radiation workers in a nuclear power plant or in a hospital.

The Congestion Control using Selective Slope Control under Multiple Time Scale of TCP (TCP의 다중 시간 간격에서 선택적 기울기 제어를 이용한 혼잡 제어)

  • In this paper, we extend the multiple time scale control framework to window-based congestion control, in particular, TCP. This is performed by interfacing TCP with a large time scale control module which adjusts the aggressiveness of bandwidth consumption behavior exhibited by TCP as a function of "large time scale" network state. i.e., conformation that exceeds the horizon of the feedback loop as determined by RTT. Performance evaluation of multiple time scale TCP is facilitated by a simulation bench-mark environment which is based on physical modeling of self-similar traffic. If source traffic is not extended exceeding, when RTT is 450ms, in self similar burst environment, performance gain of TCP-SSC is up to 45% for ${\alpha}$=1.05. However, its is acquired only 20% performance gain for ${\alpha}$=1.95 relatively. Therefore we showed that by TCP-MTS at large time scale into a rate-based feedback congestion control, we are able to improve two times performance significantly.

The Effects of Bakery Worker's Occupational Asthma and Rhinitis on Job Performance and Turnover Intention (베이커리 종사자의 직업성 천식 및 비염이 직무 성과와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of occupational asthma and rhinitis on job performance in order to maintain the health of bakery workers and to increase manufacturing productivity. Hotel bakery workers, small bakery businesses, bakery franchises and bakeries in large discount stores, located in Seoul, Kyungki and Incheon were sampled for the study over the period of December 1 to 15, 2008. A total of 245 samples were used for the final analysis. To verify the hypothesis established for the study, we conducted frequency analysis, factorial analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis using SPSS 12.0, a statistical package, to derive a conclusion. As a result of this study, it turned out that occupational asthma and rhinitis in bakery workers does affect job performance as well as motivating the intention to quit job. It is recommended that in order to increase the job performance of bakery workers and reduce their desire to quit job, their work environment should be improved and that training about occupational asthma and rhinitis should be provided for the prevention and reduction of disease.

  • This study investigated the cadastral non-coincidence between real land using and cadastral book using Google Earth Web for difficult area to access that is more efficient method compared with field survey for saving time and money. An reading error has occurred eight parcels about dry field and paddy field but this method is more powerful in case of a danger area of steep, unregistered cemeteries of cadastral book using Google Earth Web of image interpretation that method takes 1 day, the accuracy is 96% and improved 20% more than field survey takes 5 days by 40 parcels. It's possible to reduce the manpower, time and budget could be minimized. In particular, it is need to land alteration of forests and fields category that finds 47 locations a burial ground of non register cadastre book. Google Earth Web method is enabling easy visual analysis of the future land administration of local governments to improving the reliability of temporal and economic costs can be very useful to reduce.

  • Visual perception is ability that analyze visual information about things accepting through eyes in central nervous system. That is, it is ability that recognize and discriminates a visual stimulus, and analyzes by combining such stimulus with previous experience. At today, work which clears visual perception obstacle's cause through visual perception test and grasps all special quality of visual perception obstacle's is used method of treating that improve visual perception obstacle by visual perception training program. Present, visual perception test tools using the paper and pens are used mainly on psychological consultation of welfare facilities and education for the handicapped or occupational therapy, but a lot of problems are discovered in it. Therefore, purpose of this paper is to develop prototype of web-based visual perception test program that can construct to database to solve existing problem, and to design graphic item. As a result, classified measurement pattern that can diagnose visual perception by three, and illustrated development direction of graphic item for examination with this. Also, extracted check list item that should consider for design and construction of visual perception test program and the variable for feasibility study of believability, and presented process for prototype development.

  • The rural population is aging and farmers need to aim for mass production. This study examined the work efficiency of clamping and protecting crops. Strong winds are a risk for damage, but there are no reports of studies of the geometric design problem for vegetation. The accuracy of the simulation to obtain a load applied to the actual support and index was examined. The model was selected according to its strength based on the reliability of the simulation. Also acts in force of 0.1N to 0.6N, which can withstand the force of 1.29N with the results of this thesis research. The fixed clamp fixing for agricultural crops designed as a support was examined. These results are expected to help shorten working hours, and improve the growth of crops and disaster prevention.

  • In this article, DHRMIS being developed with ERP at resent realizes the personnel affairs recording procedures that all the Ministry of National Defense, the army, the navy and the air force can use on personnel affairs in order to solve the problem of the personnel recording procedures of the MND and each of the troops such as using manual affairs together with computation affairs, absence of electronic recording managements in some of the institutions MND, insufficiency of real time recording, and excess of centralized managements to present and record the personnel data. The personnel recording procedures consist of standardized personnel recording procedures and definition of the personnel recording procedures. This personnel recording procedures propose 3 improvements such as an atomic electronic recording management, a real time recording affair, effective centralization and distribution of verification authority so as to guarantee authentication, integrity, reliance, and accessibility of personnel data. When proposed personnel recording procedures are realized through developing DHRMS, these can bring on unification of 10 recording management systems, reduction of recording management time from 45 days to 3 days, distribution of verification authority MND, each of the troops, each of the institutes, an individual, and reduction of some of the manual documents.

Discovering Association Rules using Item Clustering on Frequent Pattern Network (빈발 패턴 네트워크에서 아이템 클러스터링을 통한 연관규칙 발견)

  • Data mining is defined as the process of discovering meaningful and useful pattern in large volumes of data. In particular, finding associations rules between items in a database of customer transactions has become an important thing. Some data structures and algorithms had been proposed for storing meaningful information compressed from an original database to find frequent itemsets since Apriori algorithm. Though existing method find all association rules, we must have a lot of process to analyze association rules because there are too many rules. In this paper, we propose a new data structure, called a Frequent Pattern Network (FPN), which represents items as vertices and 2-itemsets as edges of the network. In order to utilize FPN, We constitute FPN using item's frequency. And then we use a clustering method to group the vertices on the network into clusters so that the intracluster similarity is maximized and the intercluster similarity is minimized. We generate association rules based on clusters. Our experiments showed accuracy of clustering items on the network using confidence, correlation and edge weight similarity methods. And We generated association rules using clusters and compare traditional and our method. From the results, the confidence similarity had a strong influence than others on the frequent pattern network. And FPN had a flexibility to minimum support value.

The Study of Korean-style Leadership (The Great Cause?Oriented and Confidence-Oriented Leadership) (대의와 신뢰 중시의 한국형 리더십 연구)

  • This research analyzes some Korean historical figures and presents the core values of their leaderships so that we can bring up the theory of leadership which would be compatible with the current circumstances around Korea. Through this work, we expected that we would not only find out typical examples among historical leaders but also reaffirm our identities in our history. As a result of the research, it was possible to classify some figures in history into several patterns and discover their archetypal qualities. Those qualities were 'transform(實事)', 'challenge(決死)', 'energize(風流)', 'create(創案)', and 'envision(開新)' respectively. Among the qualities, this research concentrated on the quality of 'challenge', exclusively 'death-defying spirit'. This spirit is the one with which historical leaders could sacrifice their lives for their great causes. This research selected twelve figures as incarnations of death-defying spirit, who are Gyebaek(階伯), Ganggamchan(姜邯贊), Euljimundeok(乙支文德), Choeyoung(崔瑩),ChungMongju(鄭夢周), Seongsammun (成三問), Yisunsin(李舜臣), Gwakjaewoo(郭再祐), Choeikhyeon(崔益鉉), Anjunggeun(安重根), Yunbonggil(尹奉吉), Yijun(李儁). Through analyzing their core values and abilities and categorizing some historical cases into four spheres such as a private sphere, relations sphere, a community sphere, and a society sphere, we came to find a certain element in common among those figures. It was that they eventually took the lead by showing the goal and the ideal to their people at all times. Moreover, their goals were always not only obvious but also unwavering. In the second chapter, I described the core value in a private sphere, so called '志靑靑'. It implies that a leader should set his ultimate goal and then try to attain it with an unyielding will. Obvious self-confidence and unfailing self-creed are core values in a private sphere. In the third chapter, I described the core value in a relative sphere, the relationship between one and others. It is '守信結義'. It indicates that a leader should win confidence from others by discharging his duties in the relation with others. Confidence is the highest leveled affection to others. Thus, mutual reliance should be based on truthful sincerity and affection toward others. Stubbornness and strictness are needed not to be prompted by pity simultaneously. In the fourth chapter, I described the core value in a community sphere. It is '丹心合力'. For this value, what are required to a leader are both his community spirit and his loyalty to one's community. Moreover, the strong sense of responsibility and the attitude of taking an initiative among others are also required. Thus, it can be said that the great power to conduct the community is so called fine teamwork. What's more, the attitude of the leader can exert a great influence on his community. In the fifth chapter, I described the core value of death defying spirit in the society sphere. This value might be more definite and explicit than other ones described above. A leader should prepare willingly for one's death to fulfill his great duties. 'What to do' is more important for a leader than 'how to do'. That is to say, a leader should always do righteous things. Efficiency is nothing but one of his interests. A leader must be the one who behaves himself always according to righteousness. Unless a leader's behaviors are based on righteousness, it is absolutely impossible that a leader exerts his leadership toward people very efficiently. Thus, it can be said that a true leader is the one not only who is of morality and but also who tries to fulfill his duties.

Development of A Multi-sensor Fusion-based Traffic Information Acquisition System with Robust to Environmental Changes using Mono Camera, Radar and Infrared Range Finder (환경변화에 강인한 단안카메라 레이더 적외선거리계 센서 융합 기반 교통정보 수집 시스템 개발)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a multi-sensor fusion-based traffic information acquisition system with robust to environmental changes. it combines the characteristics of each sensor and is more robust to the environmental changes than the video detector. Moreover, it is not affected by the time of day and night, and has less maintenance cost than the inductive-loop traffic detector. This is accomplished by synthesizing object tracking informations based on a radar, vehicle classification informations based on a video detector and reliable object detections of a infrared range finder. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed system, I conducted experiments for 6 hours over 5 days of the daytime and early evening on the pedestrian - accessible road. According to the experimental results, it has 88.7% classification accuracy and 95.5% vehicle detection rate. If the parameters of this system is optimized to adapt to the experimental environment changes, it is expected that it will contribute to the advancement of ITS.
