지상파 디지털 TV 방식 중의 하나인 ATSC 8-VSB방식은 전송된 데이터 중 유효 데이터의 비율이 높고 채널이 좋은 경우 동기 및 등화 과정이 간단한 장점이 있지만, 실내수신이나 이동수신 환경에서는 동기 및 등차 과정이 어려운 단점이 있다. 현재 주파수 동기에는 FPLL 알고리즘을 이용하고 있는데, 파일롯의 위치에서의 좌우 스펙트럼의 비대칭 및 채널 환경에 따른 파일롯 신호의 감쇄가 발생하여 양의 주파수 옵셋이 발생했을 때에 비해 음의 주파수 옵셋이 발생했을 때의 동기획득이 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 논문은 파일롯 추출필터와 인접된 필터를 통과한 신호의 파워비율을 이용하여 얻은 제어신호를 이용하여, 기존 FPLL의 동작 범위를 넓힘과 동시에 수렴속도를 빠르게 할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.

We have experimentally investigated the fiber four-wave mixing effect on equal spaced multichannel optical transmission system with dispersion shifted fiber. To reduce the fiber four-wave mixing effect, we set the polarization states of the adjacent channels to be orthogonal each other by using polarization controller. In this case, we can reduce the transmission power penalty by 1.5 dB compared with that of equal polarization states.

에러 발생율이 높은 이동 통신 채널 환경에서는 부호화된 비디오 스트림 전송시 발생된 채널 에러는 비디오 화질에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 H.263 부/복호화기에서 전송도중 에러가 발생했을 경우 추가적인 데이터 삽입 없이 효율적으로 에러를 은닉할 수 있는 기법에 관하여 제안하였다. 특히, 영상신호는 대개 인트라 픽쳐와 인터 픽쳐로 크게 구분되는데, 이들 중 부호화된 스트림에서 발생빈도가 놀은 인터 픽쳐에 대한 오류은닉을 우선적으로 목표로 하였다. 인터 프레임 픽쳐에서 DFD나 움직임벡터 손실시, 정확히 복원된 손실된 매크로블럭에 인접한 주변 픽셀 4*4을 이용해서 이전픽쳐에서 움직임벡터을 추정하고, 추정된 움직임 벡터을 가지고 손실된 매크로블록을 복원한다. 이때 주변블럭의 움직임벡터 추정시 소요되는 계산량은 충분히 디코더측에서 수용한다는 전제하에서 실험하였다.

이동 방송 매체인 라디오에서는 주로 청취자가 차량 운전자이다 보니 서비스 권역을 이동할 경우나 음영지역에 위치할 경우 동일한 방송을 제공하는 다른 채널로 연계하는 서비스인 service following 기능에 대한 기술적인 지원이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 디지털라디오 방송에서 청취중인 프로그램의 상태가 양호하지 않을 경우 인접 또는 유사 채널로 자동으로 이동하여 서비스 수신을 지속할 수 있는 service following 에 대해서 기술적인 특징을 살펴보고 앙상블 다중화기에서 이를 지원하기 위한 FIG 시그널링 방법에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

Gap junction channels formed by two adjacent cells allow the passage of small molecules up to ${\sim}\;1\;kDa$ between them. Hemichannel (connexon or half of gap junction) also behaves as a membrane channel like sodium or potassium channels in a single cell membrane. Among 26 types of connexin (Cx), $Cx32^*43E1$ (a chimera in which the first extracellular loop of Cx32 has been replaced with that of Cx43), Cx38, Cx46, and Cx50 form functional hemichannels as well as gap junction channels. Although it is known that Xenopus oocytes express endogenous connexin 38 (Cx38), its biophysical characteristics at single channel level are poorly understood. In this study, we performed single channel recordings from single Xenopus oocytes to acquire the biophysical properties of Cx38 including voltage-dependent gating and permeation (conductance and selectivity). The voltage-dependent fast and slow gatings of Cx38 hemichannel are distinct. Fast gating events occur at positive potentials and their open probabilities are low. In contrast, slow gatings dominate at negative potentials with high open probabilites. Based on hi-ionic experiments, Cx38 hemichannel is anion-selective. It will be interesting to test whether charged amino acid residues in the amino terminus of Cx38 are responsible for voltage gatings and permeation.

최근 이동 통신이나 위성통신과 같은 많은 디지털 통신 시스템에서 시스템의 용량을 증가시키고 인접 채널간 간섭을 줄이기 위해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 그 중에서 어레이 빔 형성 기법에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 원하는 신호의 입사방향을 모르더라도 정상 동작이 가능한 블라인드 빔 형성 기법 중에서 신호의 cyclostationarity를 이용한 방법을 사용하여 원하는 사용자 신호의 cyclic 주파수만큼 천이된 신호와 수신신호 사이의 상호상관 행렬을 구하고 이를 이용하여 계수벡터를 구하는 알고리즘을 제시한다.

In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based wireless system, a pilot signal is often employed to estimate channel state information (CSI). However, the received pilot signal is interfered by other cell interference in multi-cell environments. We consider the estimation of CSI by utilizing orthogonal preambles and channel correlation.

전력 증폭기의 3차나 5차 비선형성은 인접 통신 채널에 직접적인 영향을 미치므로 선형화 기법을 이용하여 출력단의 혼변조 신호를 감쇄시켜야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전력 증폭기의 입력 신호를 기저대역에서 왜곡시켜 전력 증폭기를 선형화 시키는 디지털 사전 왜곡기를 구현하였다. 측정에 앞서, 모의실험을 통하여 시스템 변수에 따른 선형화기의 성능을 예측하고, 1차원 참조표(look-up table)를 사용한 사전 왜곡기의 측정 결과, 약 9 dB의 ACPR 개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

본 논문은 레일리 채널에서 차량이 이동할 때 같은 차선에서 같은 방향으로 이동하는 인접 차량들과의 통신성능과 다른 차선에서 반대 방향으로 이동하는 차량들과의 통신성능을 일반도로에서 상대속도에 따라 분석한 것으로서 그결과 상대속도가 점진적으로 증가할수록 통신성능이 저하되는 현장이 발생하였다.
