  • This study aims to analyse the actual conditions of Korean fishing boat being seized in Japan's EEZ and to provide the countermeasures against that problem. According to the analysis of that actual conditions, Korean fishermen are trespassing Japan's EEZ in which fishery resources are abundant because of exhaustion of fishery resources and polluted water in Korean coastal sean. In the past, That behavior was not illegal. Now, however, it became illegal with the effectuation of the United National Conventions on the Law of the Sea(1994) and the Korean-Japanese Fisheries Agreement(1999). In order to resolve that problem on a long-term basis, it is necessary to turn over national fishery policy, to provide fishing people with other means of living, and to establish the Korean-Japanese cooperation system of fishery management. Most of all, it is urgent to mitigate and remit a penalty which was executed in Japan, to amplify personal and material resources need to guide and control fishery, and to construct a close cooperation system between the National Maritime Policy Agency and the Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries Affairs.

  • In today's rapidly changing business environment, corporations need to have flexibility in order to survive. This was especially true of Korean firms that were affected by the policies of the International Monetary Fund(IMF) since 1997. IMF requirements became a catalyst that helped Korean firms design their HR practices more rational and efficient. Although these changes increased the firms flexibility and global competitiveness, they also brought some harmful effects. Job insecurity is one of the most serious problems in Korean firms and in the greater Korean society, As today's organizations no longer lifelong employment, individuals put stress on psychological satisfaction with the need to manage one's career and employability in the open labor market rather than rapid promotion or high compensation in a organizations. Theoretically and empirically, the topics of career choice and career development were extensively developed. On the other hand, the issue of career commitment received little attention. The purpose of this study is to examine the preceding factors career commitment among public officials in Korea.

  • In this note, we propose a game system to fairly and transparently control and update game variables using blockchain. As an example, we present an Ethereum-based maze escape game, being the first blockchain-based maze game and the first attempt to control game level through blockchain. In this system, the level function computes maze level reflecting the amount of maze walls purchased/sold by users. Using blockchain for game management saves human and economic resources and prevents unfair practice of game developers unilaterally manipulating game level or item enhancement rate.

In addition, it also aims to analyze the mediating effect of perceived organizational support between strategic human resource management practices and organizational citizenship behavior and customer orientation. The samples are from five Veterans Hospital and of 344 questionnaires collected, 311 were used in the final analysis. SPSS(18.0) and AMOS(16.0) were employed to describe data and test hypotheses. The findings are as follows: First of all, it is found that education and training and hiring management have positive effects on perceived organizational support while only education and training has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Secondly, results reveal that career management and hiring management influences customer orientation while only perceived organizational support does organizational citizenship behavior and customer orientation affects organizational citizenship behavior. Thirdly, it is also found that perceived organizational support mediates the relationship between career management and organizational citizenship behavior and that between hiring management and organizational citizenship behavior. In other words, perceived organizational support is a full mediator between career management and organizational citizenship behavior and between hiring management and organizational citizenship behavior because there is no direct effect of career management and hiring management on organizational citizenship. However, results show that any perceived organizational support doesn't mediate the relationship between all strategic human resource management practices and customer orientation.
