Korea is concerned with information security industry due to recent leak-out private information of 3 card companies. Executives are aware of damage from breach of security such as personal data spill, is more dangerous than any other financial risks. The information security industry, which was limited in physical security and network security formerly, is evolving into convergence security of public and facility security industry. The field of interest has also been changed into security of smart phone and intelligence image recently, from firewall or Anti-virus. The convergence security is originally about access control of facility, but recently its demand has been increased mostly by public institutions and major companies. The scope of the industry also varies from finance, education, distribution, national defense, medical care to automobile industry. The market of convergence security has been expanded and new various products and services of security of intelligent vehicle, 'U' healthcare, finance, smart grid and key industries are also developed. It is required to create and enhance of new curriculum and cultivate human resources for the development of knowledge information security industry. Raising standard of education and security consciousness of the nation is also necessary to strengthen the global competitiveness.

The aim of this study was to find the effects of open-ended problems on mathematical creativity and brain function. In this study, one class of first grade students were allocated randomly into two groups. Each group solved different problems. The experimental group solved the open-ended problems and the comparison group solved the closed-problems. Mathematical creativity was tested by the paper test. And Brain function was tested by an EEG(electroencephalogram) tester. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study analyzed how the open-ended problems are effective on mathematical creativity. This analysis showed that it had a meaningful influence on the mathematical creativity(p=0.46). Accordingly, we could find out that open-ended problems make the student connect the mathematical concept and idea and think variously. Secondly, this study analyzed the effect of open-ended problems on brain function. This analysis showed that it did not have a meaningful influence on the brain function(p=.073) statistically but the experimental group's evaluation was higher than comparison groups' at the post-test. It also had a meaningful influence on the brain attention quotient(left) (p=.007), attention quotient(right) (p=.023) and emotion tendency quotient(p=.025). As a result of such tests, we could find out that open-ended problems are effective on brain function, especially on the attention ability. With the use of the open-ended problems, students could show quick understanding and response. An emotion tendency is also developed in the process. Because various answers are accepted, the students gain an internal reward at the process of finding an answer. Putting the above results together, we could find that open-ended problem is effective on mathematical creativity and brain function.
In the current information and knowledge-based society, a nation's economy power heavily depends on IT-related industry and technology. In this sense, most countries are trying to foster IT industry by developing new and innovative IT technologies. Traditionally, only a few talented persons have been leading the whole IT industry. Thus, it is very important and necessary to identify and support the gifted children in IT in early ages for development of IT industry. The purpose of this paper is to investigate study performance of the gifted children in IT for different grades. Our research is focused on especially 4th grade students, 5th grade students, and 6th grade students in elementary schools. Among various abilities of the gifted children in IT, in this paper, we are interested in programming ability and logical thinking ability. To our best knowledge, there is no research work on study performance depending on different grades of the gifted children in IT. For this purpose, the gifted students in gifted science education center attached in a university at Seoul Metropolitan Area are selected and their test scores for 8 years were collected and analyzed. The statistical analysis results show that there is no significant difference among 4th grade students, 5th grade students, and 6th grade students for programming ability and logical thinking ability. We hope that this result can help suggest and propose study contents, curriculum, principles and laws for the gifted education in IT.
This study was conducted to examine the variations in 42 local perilla collected in Kangwon province of Korea and to provide basic informations which can be utilize in perilla breeding programs. The results obtained were summarized as the follows. Maturing period was widely distributed from 109 to 140 days. The maturing periods of most collections were 116 to 130 days(95.2%). and that 4.8% of collections shown maturing period of below 115 days and above 131 days. Three varieties 109 day of maturing period were selected among local perilla collected from Yanggu gun. Stem length was ranged from 80 to 140 cm. The stem length of 111 to 130 cm, below 111 cm, and above 131 cm were 54.8%, 38.6%, and 16.7%, respectively. The number of cluster per plant was distributed 23 to 120. The distribution of cluster numbers were 40 to 70, under 40, and above 100 was 57.2%, 16.7%, and 11.9%, respectively. The number of seed capsules was distributed 20 to 40 and the collections ranged from at of 30 to 35 was 38.1 %. Seed cluster length was distributed from 5.1 to 9.0 cm and that ranged from 6.1 to 8.0 cm was 64.3%, 1,000 grain weight ranged from 1.7 to 3.8 g. The distribution of 1,000 grain weight is 2.4 to 2.6 g, 3.0 to 3.2 g, and below 2.9 g was 35.7%, 19.1%, respectively. The 1,000 grain most weight 3.8 g was selected among local perilla collected in Hwacheon gun.

As a sequel of "special improvement act for gifted student education" legislated on January 2000, "regulation act for gifted student education" was published on April 2002 which is the time Korea has settled down its education for the gifted. Announced in the December 2007 "general plan for development of gifted student education" provided a platform for the gifted student education in Korea of growth in quantity, in which a plan of providing gifted student education up to 1 percent of the elementary and middle school level students (approximately 70 thousands) has been established while the education currently provides to 0.59 percent (40 thousands) of all students. Until recently, however, education for gifted students has been performed based on the way of concentrating on academic domains. and it has put more weights on mathematics and english domains. In order to overcome this drawbacks, there have been various attempts for growth in quality of education for gifted students, one of them is the our proposal of convergence of science and art education for cultivating 21 century creative humans through establishment of new type of institution. In this paper, education curriculum and management strategies appliable to the proposed convergence education institutions for gifted students. For this purpose we derived the implication points through analysis on education processes used in korea science school for the gifted students, a representative institution for the gifted students in Korea, and we suggested educational process curriculums for the science and art institute for gifted students along with the detailed contents of convergence subject which is an essential subject to the institute.
Information Security Incidents that have recently happen rapidly spread and the scale of that incidents' damage is large. In addition, as it proceeds to the era of converged industry in the future environment and the virtual cyber world expands to the physical world, new types of security threats have occurred. Now, it is time to supply security professionals who have a multi-dimensional security capabilities that can manage the strategies of technological security and physical security from the management point of view, rather than the ones who primarily focus on the traditional technologic-centered strategies to solve new types of security threats. In conclusion, in this paper we try to produce the curriculum of information security featured in the occupational classification system and analyze the subjects that are additionally required for those who move to other occupations to cultivate security professionals who suited to the converged-industrial environment. It is expected that multi-dimensional security professionals who suited to the converged-industrial environment will be cultivated by harmoniously integrating information security subjects from technological and business/managerial perspectives, and education training courses will be developed that effectively provide core knowledges per occupational classification when people moves to other occupations in the areas of information security.
As the paradigm shifts from treatment and provider-centered healthcare to prevention and consumer-centered healthcare, the integration of ICT convergence technology is calling for an era of digital healthcare industry revival in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is possible to provide individual customized medical services utilizing various medical data, and it is possible to provide various medical services that transcend time and space through integration with other industries. Such digital healthcare includes health, nutrition, exercise, and patient care, while the digital healthcare industry includes healthcare and IT related to medical devices, medical information systems, and healthcare platforms that can provide personal health and medical information. Due to the social demands of the aging and the increase of chronic diseases, digital healthcare is considered as an important policy in the fourth industrial revolution in Korea. In order for the digital healthcare industry to contribute to the prolongation of human life and the improvement of quality of life, it is urgent to develop related infrastructures, legal institutions, and prepare policies. In addition, it is important to activate convergent education to foster talents who will lead the digital healthcare industry. The purpose of this study was to examine the trends of the digital healthcare industry in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and the direction of government R & D policies, and to derive directions and suggestions for future development.

In this thesis, PBL was applied to the subject for improving students' many skills that modern industrial society demands. Our engineering school developed PBL problems for PBL use, applied the problems to classes and confirmed the effectiveness of PBL. The study subjects were 63 freshman students in H University who took the 'Introduce of computer engineering'. We applied 5 PBL problems for 15 weeks. They wrote and submitted a reflective journal when they finished the every given PBL activity. In addition, they completed a class evaluation form after the activity of 5th PBL Problem ended. The study showed that the students experienced the effectiveness of PBL, such as the comprehension of the studied contents, the comprehension of the cooperative learning, authentic experience, creative problem-solving skills, presentation skills, communication ability, self-directed study ability and confidence. Some difficulties in gathering together and spending much time were also encountered. The students realized that the PBL learning activities were important methods because the students could develop into future intelligent engineers that modern industrial society demands through PBL learning activities. The main goal of an engineering school is to produce specialists with creative problem solving ability so that the effects of this study are quite promising for our engineering school.

The purpose of this study was to develop a curriculum for international social workers. Due to the changed circumstances of social welfare agencies, the demand for international social welfare and the need for suitable training for social welfare education agencies has increased. This study explored the job competency of international social welfare and suggested a competency-based curriculum for international social welfare. Researchers analyzed the social welfare NCS, social welfare curriculum and job of international development cooperation agencies and presented a combined curriculum for international development cooperation and social welfare. This he problem of youth unemployment is already a very serious social problem at home and abroad, and entrepreneurship, which is one of the ways to solve the problem of youth unemployment, has been studied with interest from various fields. Entrepreneurship not only overcomes the economic crisis, but also plays a role in nurturing innovative talents in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. For this reason, it can be said that research for activating entrepreneurship for college students is very important. The purpose of this study is to examine how individual entrepreneurial orientation and goal orientation affect economic entrepreneurial motivation and non-economic entrepreneurial motivation in order to confirm the effect of college students' economic entrepreneurial motivation and non-economic entrepreneurial motivation. In addition, in the relationship between individual entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial motivation (economical and non-economic), we will examine whether goal orientation has a mediating effect. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that the individual entrepreneurial orientation of university students had a positive (+) effect on the goal orientation. Second, it was confirmed that the goal orientation of college students had a positive (+) effect on economic entrepreneurial motivation and positive (+) influence on non-economic entrepreneurial motivation. third, it was confirmed that the individual entrepreneurial orientation of college students had a positive (+) effect on economic entrepreneurial motivation, and a positive (+) effect on non-economic entrepreneurial motivation. Fourth, it was confirmed that college students' goal orientation had a mediating effect in the relationship between individual entrepreneurial orientation and economic entrepreneurial motivation, and also had a mediating effect in the relationship between individual entrepreneurial orientation and non-economic entrepreneurial motivation.
