  • An autonomous vehicle is a convergence of artificial intelligence and a vehicle which can drive itself while analyzing the real-time situation on a road without a driver. A lot of research achievements have been revealed through the media and Google is considered to be the best leading company in this field. The use of patent information which contains various information such as bibliographic data and information about technologies is a good way to find out the R&D direction of a company and develop a reasonable strategy. This study is aimed at investigating the direction to which Google focuses its R&D capabilities and establishing strategies for technology development. Google's patents about autonomous vehicles were collected and the degree of research bias was analyzed using Social Network Analysis based on citations indicating the quality of a patent. Based on the results, the strategies for technology development was eventually proposed. As a result, it was revealed that Google focused its R&D capabilities on the part of hardware control to make up for its lack of hardware-oriented technologies. As of now, Google obtained remarkable achievements, so it seems reasonable that last-movers consider cooperative research with Google.

The result intends to Present the result for basic materials which aye necessary for promoting the education on library use. The object of study selected the university freshmen. located in Gyeonggi-do, taking a lessen of cultural essential subjects. The education contents on library use were the understanding of library organization and function, the structure of library materials, the kind and use of academic information, the citation of materials, the description of bibliography, and the copyright in a library. The study methods applied in the study, were literature researches and two-times' questionnaire surveys in the first week of the education and the last week of that. Total 92 materials were applied for this study. This study performed faired t-test and independent t-test. As a result, four factors of six ones on library anxiety were selected in the verification of hypotheses after performing an education on university students' library use. In addition, the difference in education effectiveness based on university students' library use frequency was excluded in the course of hypothesis verification on six factors or library anxiety.

  • This study aims to logically investigate the changing interpretation and implementation of the principle of provenance by using an argument model for discourse analysis. First, it divides the history of discourses on the principle from the Dutch Manual publication of 1989 up to the present into four areas, which includes establishing, diffusing, transforming, and expanding or deconstructing, and articulates the core discourses of each. Second, it designs the argument model for analyzing the discourses on the principle by applying Toulmin's argument model and Dunn's policy argument model. Third, it selects the articles and books that cover the core discourses of the principle, and analyzes their contents in consideration of the argument model. Fourth and finally, it presents four argument models corresponding to each area of the discourses.

  • There has been a large increase in research interests in clothing and textiles area as reflected in increase of memberships of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles and the number (If issues of the Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles. The main purpose of this study was to examine the articles published in the JKSCT. Subject areas, funding source, length of article, and authors were examined for all articles published from 1977 to 1992. References were examined for the articles published in five selected years. The results showed that papers in textiles and sociopsychological areas accounted for approximately 40% of all articles, while the number of articles in fashion marketing has increased significantly in recent years. • The present study examines the characteristics of the international literature of classification systems published in the period 1981-1990. The references in the 'Classification Literature' sections of International Classification and the references in these source items were examined. The present study focused on analyzing each of the following characteristics: format, subject, language, geographical origin, age, authorship and number of references. The findings from the data analyses show clearly that in the literature of classification systems, I) books were the most frequently cited format; 2) library and information science was the most frequently cited subject; 3) English was the major language; 4) the literature of each classification system was written predominently in English except for Library Bibliographic Classification; 5) the language of each source item was the same as that of the greatest number of references of that source item: 6) the U.S., Germany, India, Russia, and the U.K. were the major geographic origin of publication; 7) there was a very close relationship between country of publication and language: 8) the country of origin of the documents was cited more than any other country except for the U.S.: 9) Price's Index of the literature revealed that the literature was a soft science and the half-life of the literature was about 7.5 years; 10) there was a preponderance of single authorships; 11) the literature was not a scholarly or scientific literature, according to the average number of references in source items and the percentage of unreferenced items. The findings of this reference study provide a better understanding of the characteristics of the classification systems literature. They prove useful for the collection development and assist classification systems researchers to prepare linguistically for their careers and encourage international communication efforts.

  • Many publishers tried flipping, or extensively changed their journals flipped. They considered that converting an established journal into OA journal is more attractive than launching an entirely new OA journal. After conducting a careful literature review, this study provided the background and current situations on flipping. There are flipped OA journals alive published by commercial publisher, society, university, and institute in the field of science and medicine. This study found the increased number of published articles after flipping, with 69% of 97 flipped OA journals in 2015 having impact factors. Also 92% of the journals experienced rising in ranking of impart factor, or achieved it for the first time. It was suggested that the roles of academic society, funding agencies, and universities when it comes to active flipping.

  • Information behavior is an important area of research in library and information science (LIS) that has evolved over the last 75 years. The aim of this study is to investigate the recent trends of information behavior research by providing insights into emerging topical areas within information behavior. To conduct this study, the bibliographic data from Scopus was used, and the trends of information behavior were traced by using variations of key terms used in information behavior research, such as "information behavior", "information seeking behavior", and "information needs." In addition, the trends were analyzed in terms of content words in the title, highly cited journal articles, disciplinary categories, and author keywords. Information behavior research has its roots in LIS, but the findings of the study reveal that information behavior has expanded to other disciplines by intersecting a variety of topical areas. In particular, this study showed that information behavior in the health/medicine domain has become a predominant emerging topical area of research. In order to enhance our understanding of complex human behavior, future research should focus more on interdisciplinary aspects by measuring the scope of information behavior.

  • Most research in artificial intelligence (AI) has focused on the development of new algorithms. But as artificial intelligence has been spreading over many applications and gaining more attention from managers in the organization, academia has begun to understand the necessity of developing new artificial intelligence theories related to AI management. We reviewed recent studies in the field from 2015, and further analysis has been done for 785 studies chosen based on citation numbers of over 20. The results show that most studies have still been in the prototyping application phase of artificial intelligence across different industries. We conclude our study by calling for more research in the application of artificial intelligence in terms of organizational structures and project and risk management.
