This study was conducted based on the need to establish an operational plan following the establishment of the Okcheon-gun Daily Life Culture and Sports Center Library, and for the users of public libraries in Okcheon-gun, the functions and roles of the Okcheon-gun Library, collection related to operational direction, user service related activation, library usage related status survey, preference for the future use and perception of desired services were surveyed. Based on the results of the perception survey, the direction required by the Okcheon-gun residents for the Library was identified, and the research results are as follows. As a result of the study, first, when establishing a collection plan, the data types ought to be based on the printed materials and the multi-media materials to reflect the needs of the users, and it may also be necessary to collect them in consideration of the subject areas including literature, art, history, and technical sciences. Second, to provide various information services, it would be necessary to establish an overall information service plan, and it was identified that it would be necessary to develop various information services according to the user preferences and provide cooperative services. Third, it was determined that the programs appropriate for the various subjects and age groups should be continuously expanded moving forward in consideration of the larges demand for programs by the residents of Okcheon-gun. Fourth, new constructions and spatial improvements are needed, and the overall preference for open spaces was significant. In the case of cultural space, the preference for youth cultural facilities, convenience facilities for residents, infinite loss of imagination, and the (experiential) exhibition halls turned out to be large.

This study aims to analyze the recognition and demands of church school kindergarten teachers enrolled in a kindergarten teacher training program. 278 kindergarten teachers in the Seoul and Gyeonggido area were chosen as the research objects and questionnaires were distributed to and recollected from them. The questions cover 3 areas: the recognition, necessity and contents of the training program for kindergarten teachers. The data from the collected questioners were processed to bring in frequency and percentage by question and an X2 test was employed to see whether there was a difference among background variables. In addition, mean and standard deviation were used for the questions regarding the program contents. The results showed that the teachers had a deep interest in and awareness of the necessity of the program. Among the demographic variables, they turned out statistically different by academic career, education-related career and major. Second, the list of the demands they made for the training contents for kindergarten teachers showed that they wanted, in the order of importance; educating parents, understanding young children, handling techniques of troubled children, effective communication skills with young children, and understanding their traits and teaching methods by trait and spiritual training of teachers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle science teachers' perceptions on science lessons with experiments. The study conducted a survey for 110 science teachers participating in inservice program. The middle school science teachers taught classes with lectures rather than with experimental activities. They had an experiment one to three times a semester in their lessons. They did an experiment to follow to what the textbook said, or to confirm it, like a cookbook style. The most teachers answered that they had over average ability to teach both lecture and experiment. Through the experiment, they expected students had interests and curiosity on science. Despite the advantages of experiments, there were many constraints to conduct experiments, such as teachers' excessive work, laboratory conditions, education environment, and others. It was demanded on continuous interest and investment in the variation of educational environment so that teachers can experiment more often.

The purposes of the study were to identify a comprehensive competency list related to the jobs of nutrition teachers and to compare the competency needs for nutrition teachers and dieticians' competency levels. Job functional areas and a competency list for nutrition teachers were developed based on a review of literature and revised through expert panel reviews. A total of 53 competency statements associated with 11 job functional areas were specified. Questionnaires were distributed to 457 dieticians engaged in school food service and 148 responses were returned (response rate: 32.4%). Excluding incomplete responses, 142 questionnaires were used for data analysis. Approximately half of the respondents were enrolled in an 1-year nutrition teacher certificate program, 25% in a graduate school of nutrition education, and 19% had completed an 1-year nutrition teacher certificate program. The dieticians highly rated requirements of the competencies related to sanitation and employee safety, nutrition counseling, nutrition education, and teaching practices; in contrary, their competency levels for nutrition education, nutrition counseling, and teaching practices were low. Respondents' competency levels were significantly lower than the required competency levels of effective nutrition teachers in all functional areas. A quadratic analysis based on the requirement and self-evaluation of the competencies revealed that priorities of education programs targeting school nutrition teachers or students preparing to be nutrition teachers should be placed on improving competencies related to nutrition education, nutrition counseling, teaching practices, sanitation and employee safety, menu management, and human resource management. These results can be used to develop curriculum materials for basic and continuing professional education for nutrition teachers. It is necessary to review and update competencies regularly to reflect environmental changes in school food service programs.

This study aims to explore the digital citizenship education of pre-service teachers through deriving the needs for digital citizenship of pre-service teachers and analyzing their perceptions. To this end, an online survey was conducted on pre-service teachers enrolled in a graduate school of education, and data from 245 respondents were collected and analyzed. The needs assessment was prioritized by synthesizing paired t-test, Borich needs assessment, and the locus for focus model. The results of the study were as follows; first, when synthesizing the analysis of needs, the priority of digital citizenship of pre-service teachers was 'self-protection'. Second, pre-service teachers were aware of the need for digital citizenship education and were willing to participate in it. They hoped that it would be taught in an extra-curricular program or teacher education courses. Based on the study results, the direction of education to strengthen the digital citizenship of pre-service teachers was discussed.

Open peer review intends to help review a manuscript in a transparent and accountable manner, opening up the identity of a reviewer and authors in a scholarly journal. Although some research about open peer review, for example, authors' understanding of open peer review, exists, research about editors' perspectives of a scholarly journal in Korean domestic science and technology fields has not been found. Editors' views may include whether an academic journal plans to adopt open peer review, when they might adopt it, or what the possible benefits, challenges, and issues in adopting open peer review would be. This paper presents a survey scheme, data, and analysis of Korean editors' perspectives on open peer review. Specifically, we designed the online survey questionnaire, collected the survey data from journal editors, and analyzed the survey results to explore editors' understanding of open peer review. We then compared our research with previous work, such as our Focused Group Interview and other similar domestic and foreign analysis. This study result is expected to help make an open peer review policy for public institutes to provide essential services for scholarly journals, including a scholarly peer review system. Academic society may also get some insights in adopting the open peer review method in the peer-review process.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to know the degree of the perceptions and the needs regarding the driving rehabilitation of students of occupational therapy. Method : Subjects are 317 students, department of occupational therapy of 4 colleges in Gyeongnam and Busan. Questionnaire consist of 15 questions of perceptions of the driving rehabilitation, 9 questions of needs of the driving rehabilitation, and 4 questions of subjects. The period of surveys was from 12, May to 12, Jun, 2013. Result : 73(23.1%) students answered that they knew about the driving rehabilitation and 47(14.8%) students answered that they experienced the driving rehabilitation. The answers about the channels of knowing and experience regarding driving rehabilitation had 'through the college'. The perceptions regarding the specialist and programs of driving rehabilitation was low compared with the knowing of the driving rehabilitation. The perception of needs regarding the driving rehabilitation for people with disabilities was high and they answered that they need the educations regarding driving rehabilitation. The 3rd grade students had high degree of perceptions and needs compared with 1st and 2ed grade students. And A college students had high degree of perceptions and needs compared with C and D college students. Conclusion : It is important that subject regarding of the driving rehabilitation include in curriculum of occupational therapy for strengthen the role of the occupational therapist in the driving rehabilitation.

The efficient communication process is essential to guarantee the completeness of design and secure the quality to meet the contractor's needs. However, using the existing communication methods based on the design and documents, it is difficult to effectively understand the drawings and specifications that are very complicated, and sufficient technical experiences would be required. Ineffective and inefficient communication among users, designers and project participants during the design process would raise the possibility of functional interferences of the object, induce conflicts, cause a design change, and accordingly incur losses of the project in terms of cost and time. The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement direction of communication in accordance with the requirements, by investigating the present state and the project participants' understanding of design communication. And also, it presents the application model of QFD that the project participants could share and define, and feedback the requirements as well as conducting analysis of improvement factors based on the survey.

본 논문에서는 다양한 과학기술 분야의 연구자들이 R&D 수행에 있어서 필요한 인프라로서 클라우드 서비스를 활발히 이용하도록 하기 위해서 요구되는 정책적 기술적 개선 방안을 도출하였다. 이를 위해서 R&D를 위한 클라우드 서비스의 해외 사례를 조사하고, 국내 출연(연) 대학 등 연구현장의 다양한 분야의 연구자들로부터 클라우드 서비스에 대한 인식 조사 및 수요 분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 조사 분석 결과 과학기술 및 공학 ICT 등 다양한 분야의 연구에서 요구되는 수요를 충족할 수 있는 클라우드 서비스의 필요성을 도출하였으며, 보안 및 행정제도 등에 있어서도 개선점을 도출할 수 있었다. 연구를 통하여 우리는 국가 R&D를 수행하는 연구자들이 기존 클라우드 서비스에 대한 제약을 해소하고 더 나은 연구환경을 지원받도록 하기 위한 R&D 사이버인프라스트럭쳐로서의 클라우드 서비스를 제안하였다.

Based on related studies on 'disability sports,' 'sports for all,' and 'rehabilitation sports,' this study collected the results of a survey on the disabled, who are the actual users of rehabilitation sports services. It analyzed the need for rehabilitation sports services. The requirements of persons with disabilities were extracted, and the extracted contents were presented as inductive content analysis. The researcher's preconceptions and subjective judgments were to be excluded as much as possible. Based on studies related to "Disability sports," "Sports for all for disability," and "Rehabilitation sports," conducted in Korea, a study that included the results of the survey on disabled people was selected. This study's results were categorized into eight categories (perception of sports activities, programs, instructors, facilities, accessibility, cost/support/financial resources, and others) for people with disabilities.
