인벌류트 곡선의 Biarc Curve Fitting 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimized Biarc Curve Fitting of Involute Curve)

  • The determination of the optimum biarc curve passing through a given set of points along involute curve is studied. The method adopted is that of finding the optimum number of span and the optimum length of the span such that error between the biarc curve and involute curve minimum. Iterative method is effectively used to find the optimim number and length of the span on involute curve with reduced length of NC-code.

  • Spinning is a chipless forming method for producing axially symmetric parts by using axial-radial motions of a spinning roller. This process has still some advantages in such a view point that a variety of complex shapes which can not be formed in a press can be easily spun at a low cost although it is one of the oldest forming methods for spinning mainly cookware parts for a long time. This study is to investigate the optimum roller path in order to obtain the maximum spinnability in producing cylindrical cups of Aluminum(A1050-H16) sheet metal. Working conditions applicable to any size of blank were predetermined through preliminary spinning tests. 9 types of roller path were proposed and experiments were carried out. The modified involute curve was shown to give the maximum drawing ration and more uniform quality of spun cups as compared with other results of this study. in addition thickness distribution and dimensional accuracy of spun cups were examined and discussed.

  • Gear is general mechanical elements that used for power transmission between two shafts that interval is comparatively short. and it delivers big power as accurate ratio of speed. The profile of Spur gear which is the most basic factor is divided into Trochoidal fillet curve and Involute curve. Involute curve is used a lot of a shaped curve of machine parts such as a gear, a scroll compressor and a collar of centrifugal pump. However, It is poor to study the modeling of Trochoidal fillet curve and the three dimensions model shaped mathematical curve. This paper describes a mathematical model of profile shifted involute gear. and this model is based on Camus's theory. We draw three dimensions gear have accurate mathematical function using ADS, VisualLISP. and To check accuracy and perfection, we make a program of checking Interference. and use for this study.

냉간 압출에 의한 헬리컬 기어의 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Helical Gear Forming by Cold Extrusion)

  • 본 연구에서는 인벌류트 치형을 갖는 헬리컬 기어압출에 있어서 실제 치형형 상인 인벌류트 곡선을 다이의 형상으로 하여 비대칭 형상의 다이를 몇 개의 대칭영역 으로 분할하고 각 영역에 대하여 각각의 동적가용 속도장을 구한 후 전체 형상으로 확 장시켜 상계해석 하였다. 해석결과의 계산은 위의 동적가용속도장으로 헬리컬 또는 평기어 압출을 해석하는 수치해석 프로그램을 개발하여 수행하였다. 상계해석에서는 기초원 이하의 필렛부분과 이 뿌리 틈새등은 그 형상이 매우 복잡하므로 해석의 간략 화를 위하여 기초원까지만 변형되는 것으로 가정하였으나 실제의 기어압출실험에서는 기어의 모든 조건이 고려되었다. 압출실험은 전기동으로 전극봉을 제조하고, 전극설 계시에 금형과 소재의 탄성변형량, 방전가공시의 과방전량 그리고 래핑 가공여유등을 고려하여 설계한 후 호빙 및 셰이빙가공하여 실제 제조하려는 기어와 유사하게 기어전 극을 제조한 후, 이를 금현본체와 조립하여 3축제어 방전가공기로 금형을 제작하였다.

냉간단조에 의한 헬리컬기어의 새로운 성형방법과 이의 상계해석에 관하여

  • 냉간단조에 의한 새로운 헬리컬기어 성형공정이 제시되었다. 원형봉재로 부터 헬리컬기어를 압출함에 있어서 압출압력을 계산하기 위하여 상계정리를 적용하여 수치계산하고, 수치해석 결과와 압출하려는 기어의 금형을 설계 제작하여 실험한 결과를 비교 검토하고자 한다. 이론해석상 다이형상으로 인벌류트곡선을 사용한 이론해는 실험결과와 잘 일치하였다. 그리고, 다이의 형상을 평기어부와 헬리컬기어부의 이중구조로 된 신공정이 헬리컬기어부로만 된 사만타공정과 비교해서 금형강도를 향상시킴으로써 다이수명은 증가되었고, 자동차 변속기용으로 헬리컬기어는 KS 기어급수 4~5 급의 정밀도에 해당하는 기어를 가공했다. 이는 사만타공정의 정밀도 보다 향상된 결과를 얻었다.

  • The area of gear dynamics has recently been the focus of many studies. A new tooth profile modification was proposed by author for reducing vibration and noise of involute gears. A comparative dynamic analysis of the gear drive with the involute tooth and the modified tooth profile(using cubic splines) is performed to the unuformal transmission error reduces the gear vibration and noise due to less dynamic tooth load variation during the meshing cycle. This work also include a gear design process by the meaning of a practical approach, such as Win95 based simulation program with all using basic geardesign variables. Especially this program enables gear designers to dynamic analysis based on G.U.I.

  • The dimension of forged part is different from that of die. Therefore, a more precise die dimension is necessarys to produce the precise part, considering the dimensional changes from forging die to final part. In this paper, both experimental and FEM analysis are performed to investigate the effect of several features including die dimension at each forging step and heat-treatment on final part accuracy in the closed-die upsetting. The dimension of forged part is checked at each stage as machined die, cold forged, and post-heat-treatment steps. The elastic characteristics and thermal influences on forging stage are analyzed numerically by the DEFORM-$2D^{TM}$. The effect of residual stress after heat-treatment on forged part could be considered successfully by using DEFOAM-$HT^{TM}$.

  • This paper suggests the establishment of high-accuracy and high-efficiency machining method of scroll shape workpiece by using the feed control method. The cutting paths for machining the inside and outside surfaces of the scroll-shape workpiece are calculated, and the calculation method of the cutting chip areas based on the coordinate of the base circle is shown. A feed control method is proposed for a constant cutting area and cutting force. By machining test of scroll shape workpiece, The machined accuracy of wrap, tool wear, and surface roughness are evaluated. By this method, Reduction of the machining time and large increase of the efficiency can be expected.

평기어 치의 변형 후 치간섭 방지를 위한 치형 수정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Profile Modification of Spur Gears for the Prevention of Gear Tooth Overlap by Deformation)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a profile modification technique of spur gears and its computer program for the prevention of gear tooth overlap. In the gear system, tooth overlap produces an impact at the initial contact of some tooth pairs. In this analysis, contact surface was assumed to be unbonded and frictionless under small deformation and stain. The problem is formulated by a variational statement with inequality constraint. Tooth load sharing is obtained by the application of contact theory, and overlap is known by the analysis of deformation. After carrying out the profile modification of gear tooth, we verified the reasonable results.

저소음 치차설계를 위한 치형수정에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Gear Noise and Design for Gear Noise Reduction)

  • The area of gear vibration and noise, has recently been the focus of many studies. The proper kinematic and geometric design of gears, the mathematical modeling of gear system are essential for a good design. This work present a gear disign for reducing noise, and practical approaches used for machinery noise reduction slong with the summary of methods available for predicting gear noise in terms of the transmis- sion error, and show a comparative study with other methods. A new tooth profile modification is proposed for reducing vibration and noise of involute gears. The method is based on the use of cubic spline curves. The tooth profile is constrained to assume an involute shape during the loaded operation. Thus the new gear profile assures conjugate motion at all points along the line of action. The new profile is found to result in a more uniform static transmission error compared to not only standard involute profile but also modificated profile therby contributing to the improvement of vibration and noise characteristics of the gear.
