Smart work is deeply embedded in our contemporary lives. This is called Smart Life. The expansion of communication, caused by smart life is utilized for the political purposes of politicians, political candidates, and political policies. Chiefly, smart life includes improvement in awareness, personal relations, and policy advocacy. Socially, smart life leads the proliferation of issues and civil movement. In particular, smart life has a significant effect on culture. In the case of K-POP, it is disseminated going beyond space time. It enhances economic value added by joining and sharing at the same time. Smart life has numerous advantages such as improving the quality of life, but it might cause inconvenience depending on users because there are differences in acceptance according to generations. Due to the heavy weight on the device, there are some side-effects such as lacking in human thinking, disclosure in private life, lacking in basic securities, increase in information addicts who are anxious when they do not get on the Internet or SNS, and interference with work. However, this inconvenience can change into convenience when users are accustomed to it. Like this, smart life influences politics, economy, society, and culture a lot. Working environment of smart life is a new paradigm, which can generate high performance through working in an exciting and bright atmosphere with easy economy and putting value on results.

We can build regular customer relationships combining SNS (social networking service) with shopping mall like offline trade. A customer who once purchased is registered as reaular and the relationship continues afterward. The registered regular customer get sthe information about objective product shipment and besides it, he contacts with a story of frams, growth of vegetables, sows to harvests. Consumer can purchase with one click necessary foods as he looks at timeline. Sellers give information about news. discounts to customers. Besides it, food storages, recipes can be given to consumers. The good point here is that selling and promoting can be performed within one account. This is better than link is provided for selling an promoting separately. Like this, besides personal connections using SNS, categorization function gives consumers on line shopping mall service. Once the consumer purchase, he is registered as regular. Besides, the consumers who do not know each other, can share information, suggest products, spread the news.

This paper examines characteristics of producer service networks by comparing the Capital region with Gyeongsang region in Korea and provides implications for regional policies of producer services. We employ the data of the Korea Innovation Survey, compiled by Science & Technology Policy Institute in 2006 and analyze producer service networks in the two regions. According to the results of production networks analysis, producer service firms in Gyeongsang region serve to relatively limited areas of market whereas those in the Capital region serve to a larger market. No difference is found between producer service firms in the Capital region and those in Gyeongsang region for the types of major customers. Analysis of knowledge/information networks demonstrates that firms in the Capital region mostly count on informal networks while those in Gyeongsang region primarily rely on their suppliers as a source of key information. Firms in Gyeongsand region often gain key information from the Capital region. The results of Social Network Analysis show that both of the innovation networks for two regions are poorly connected. In order to promote producer services, each region needs strategic approach reflecting regional characteristics and demands of regional industries.

This study examines the diversity of garden culture in the Joseon Dynasty focusing on genre painting. Genre painting gives us insight into the various ways of enjoying the garden. The intimate activities portrayed in the painting show us about the vivid scenes of Korean garden at that time. Among the various meanings of gardens, sensual pleasure is focused on here. The garden has always been a place of pleasure for seeing, smelling, touching, meeting people and erotic flirting. Here, the oriental aesthetic idea of Pungryu is adopted to reformulate pleasure based on the traditional way of thought. Most Korean gardens in the Joseon Dynasty were understood as the place for Pungryu. Sensuality in the Korean garden associated with a high level of spiritual pleasure. In order to look closely into garden activities, genre paintings were selected and analyzed. Several characteristics were elicited. First, the garden was understood as the medium of communication through reconciling man with nature. Mediating man with nature often calls for uplifting the sense of community within groups of people. Second, the garden was featured as the place of cultural creation. Many scholars utilized the garden as a place for poetic imagination. Therefore, the garden was the locus of intellectual discourse. Third, personal retreat was one of important functions in the Korean garden. the humble attitude toward landscape such as solitude and mediation might be understood as one way of enjoying the nature. Fourth, taste, power and social relations were embedded in garden culture. Therefore, the garden was regarded as a space of distinction. Garden making was understood as one of the high class leisure activity. It was quite natural that the garden was used as a place of showing up their taste and culture. Finally, we need to reinvigorate the rich meanings of garden in contemporary practices. In-depth analysis of garden culture through the lens of genre painting gives us quite useful information in Korean garden culture.
I had an interview with some unemployed career staffs who had retired and worked for more than twenty years in order to research impacting elements on reemployment for l retired special security government officials. This interview included an officer and a consultant for supporting employment in order to explore compacting elements on retired security government official's reemployment. Looking over analysis results, first, there is a shortage of reemployment opportunities and information. The job applicant's employment requirements are not in accordance with the company's employment conditions. They don't have enough professional experience necessary for employment. There is no positive employment supporting counterplan or vocational education program in the organization. Second, their insight about finding a job is high for the current employment market condition. The reemployment offices have a very difficult task because job applicants prefer a full-time job which offers long term work and guarantees a social position. Third, it is a huge obstacle to undertake going into various enterprises and fields because they don't have the right mind set and enough preparation for reemployment. Moreover, they would prefer to depend on organization employment support rather than getting a new job by themselves when they don't possess other careers' qualifications. Finally, they know that social networks and personal connections are extremely important in obtaining vocations, but actually have poor social networks and few personal connections. Accordingly, Their organization and related persons need to reflect on analysis results about impacting elements on reemployment for retired special security government officials.
This study analyzed the educational background, career, and post-retirement activities of notable bureaucrats employed at Chosun Railway Bureau during the Japanese colonial period in Korea. First, significantly, most railway bureaucrats were of Japanese origin, being specialized in railway operations and adjusted to occupation in a reserved organizational environment for a considerable time period. Second, the Japanese showed explicit eagerness to work at the Chosun Railway, which fitted their ideology of railway bureaucrats. In addition, almost 60% of the bureaucrat population had strong educational experience from Tokyo Imperial University, which is equal to the percentage of graduates from other institutions operating during the Japanese colonial period. Moreover, in the very early period of building the railway system, the demand for specialists was higher than for other jobs and divisions because of the railroad's complex infrastructure, which resulted in high job appointment rates. In a similar sense, based on a strong affiliation of bureaucrats with railways, the number of bureaucrats from Japanese Railway Worker's Bureau was higher initially because of bureaucrats from South Manchurian Railway Company. These changes essentially contributed to alteration of bureaucrats' awareness and created a more positive attitude regarding the Chosun Railway. In the meantime, as opposed to the Taiwan and Manchurian Railways, both Chosun Railway and the Taiwan Railway were operated in compliance with strong bureaucratic traditions.

In this study I examined the status of the borrowed scenery of Soshaewon and analyzed the structure of Byeolseo Gardenusing "Soshaewon Sisun(瀟灑園詩選)", which consists of a collection of poems written by people who visited Soshaewon during Joseon Dynasty with bibliographical explanations and "the Thirty Poems of Soshaewon", written by Yang, Gyeong Ji who was the fifth generation from Yang, San Bo. This study expanded the concept of borrowed scenery to include visual, synaesthetic, temporary and ideal features based on the theory of borrowed scenery in "Won Ya(園冶)", which emphasized the time feature and change, and explained that a landscape garden could be perfected by the presence of borrowed scenery beyond the previous borrowed landscape which was recognized through visual value. It would be correct to understand that the visitors to Soshaewon accomplished imaginary scenery(意境) through recreating Soshaewon into a space that stimulated poetic sentiment and aesthetic sensitivity by creating four types of borrowed scenery of a landscape garden composed of both real and fictitious scenery. At present the scope of Soshaewon tends to be limited to its inner garden covering the stream garden. However, in this study I took a new approach in defining the scope of Soshaewon, providing three types of Byeolseo Garden area ; more specifically, the expanded scope of Soshaewon covers the outer garden that secured the outlook of visual, temporary and synaesthetic objects for borrowed scenery and the right to use by purchasing more area by the descendants and the ideological garden that was composed of the ideal borrowed scenery created by the Confucian friends and colleagues who praised the Jeungamcheon Stream area and various famous mountains longing for the immortal world.
The aim of this study is to examine the factors influencing network centrality on women's welfare organizations, and to investigate how the level of network centrality influence the effectiveness of the organization. To achieve this goal, this study conducted a survey on women's welfare organizations in Seoul from March to June, 2009. Network analysis method was used to get each organization's network centrality value. Also, through the Structural Equation Modelling, organizational characteristics predicting network centrality and effect of network centrality on organizational effectiveness. The main results are as follows. First, the significant affecting factors were different between three types of centralities with regards to the type of organization, recognition of resource dependency, attitude of top manager, and established year. Second, the common factors affecting three network centralities were the number of informal ties, accepting feminism as the main organizational philosophy, and the number of qualified staffs. Third, only closeness centrality positively predicted the level of organizational effectiveness among three types of centralities. The faster the organization reaches to other organizations in a network, the organizational effectiveness becomes higher, which means high closeness centrality is more important factor than high degree centrality or high betweenness centrality to increase organizational effectiveness. This result shows social welfare organization should consider changing inter-organizational network strategy from quantity-focused to quality-focused.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of closed-type SNS use (i.e., Naver Band) on the perception and behavior of the Korean Army soldiers. In contrast to open-type SNS (e.g., Facebook or Twitter), Naver Band is an online communication service system mostly based on confined offline social network. Therefore, it increases communication between acquaintances who have previously formed relationships. Although the Korean Army recently began to use Naver Band as a method of communication between soldiers, their parents/acquaintance, and Army commanders (or leaders), little research has been done about how this use directly affects army soldiers. Hence, applying the motivation opportunity ability theory of behavior, this study examines how enjoyment (Motivational factor), social ties (Opportunity factor), and social intelligence (Ability factor) affect soldiers' belongingness to their organization and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). We also hypothesize that army soldiers' belongingness and OCB may enhance their individual performance. Survey results show that enjoyment, social ties, and social intelligence increase army soldiers' belongingness, which leads to OCB. Also, enhanced OCB increases individual performance. However, the effect of enjoyment and social ties on soldiers' OCB is non-significant and soldiers' belongingness does not have influence on individual performance. Theoretical and practical implications are presented.
