A study of current awareness and preference on Korean professional baseball team's promotion for products (프로야구의 상품마케팅에 대한 인식 및 선호도 조사)

  • The main purpose of this study was to identify the current awareness and preference on the promotions of products in Korean professional baseball teams. For this study, the subjects were randomly selected where they have experienced purchasing any products in the Korean professional baseball stadium. Totally, 520 subjects were asked to answer the questionnaire relevant to the current awareness and preference of promotion of products. There were 11 questions for the current awareness and 14 questions for the preference on the promotion of products. The data gathered was determined within a frequency analysis, an independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA tests. The results were discussed when the p-value were lest than .05. There were a couple of results found throughout this study. Firstly, there were no significant differences of the current awareness between gender. Secondly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between age(p<.05). Especially, there were significant differences on the value of products and price between 20's, 30's and 40's groups. Thirdly, there were significant differences of the preference on the promotion between level of earing per year statistically(p<.05). In addition, there were significant differences on the price of products between 2000-2500 million won, 2500-3000 million won and 4000 million won groups. Consequently, the product promotion by the Korean professional baseball teams has to be more variety and structured.

Why Do Individuals Postpone Their Enrollments for Military Service under a Conscription System? : Investigating Individuals' Psychological and Demographic Characteristics (징병제하에서 왜 군 입대를 늦추는가? : 심리적, 인구통계학적 특성 검토)

  • This study aims to empirically investigate the effects of the individual-level characteristics on their timing decisions for their enlistments even though military services are their duties under a draft system. The individual characteristics considered include five psychological factors, such as attitude, uncertainty, information search level, future expectation, and perceived risk towards army, and other several demographic variables. Measurement scales for these psychological variables are developed and a duration model for individuals' enrollment timing decisions is also proposed. The proposed model is fitted to a survey data set collected from both those who have completed military service and those who have not. The estimation results show that two of five psychological variables, negative attitude and perceived risk, and several demographic variables, including education level, income level, residence area, and the number of family members serving the army, have meaningful impacts on the timing decisions for military service. Specifically, the enlistment timings are found to be more delayed as negative attitude towards army is stronger, perceived risk on army is higher, education level is higher, academic performance is better, income level is either low or high, residence area is either Seoul or big cities, and the proportion of family members enlisted is smaller. Several important managerial implications for alleviating problems resulting from enrollment postponements are also discussed.

Effect Factors of Adolescences' Suicide risk (청소년 자살위험성에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The study tried to identify suicidal factors of adolescences by analyzing effect factors of adolescences' suicide. Demographic factor, Self-respect, depression, suicidal ideation, and school adjustment scale, Social support, self-regulation, and problem solving scale were analyzed as effect factors. 307 junior high and high school students in Pusan city were surveyed by community education experts for this research. As a result, there are significant differences between high suicidal risk group and low suicidal group in all subcategories including economic status. As for the correlation analysis between risk factors and preventive factors, variables, it was analyzed that each variable was correlated to other variables. In addition, multiple regression analysis was conducted to find out affecting factors of adolescence suicide categorized into demographic factor, personal factor, school factor, and social factor. As a result, it was founded that the affecting factors of adolescence suicide were school adjustment, problem solving ability, suicidal ideation, depression and neighborsupport, and self-regulation. That is, to prevent adolescence suicide, the adolescence who are exposed to suicidal risk should be identified by measuring the degree of suicidal ideation, strengthened their school adjustment, and then conducted group therapy to strengthen their problem solving ability and self-regulation. In addition, adolescence suicide can be prevented by strengtheningsocial support for adolescences.

Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching and Teachers' Backgrounds: A study of U.S. Teachers (교수를 위한 수학적 지식과 교사의 배경: 미국 교사에 관한 연구)

  • Teachers' mathematical knowledge for teaching (MKT) strongly influence student achievement (Hill, Rowan, & Ball, 2005). However, there is generally no record that shows the levels of teachers' MKT in schools and districts. Because of the limited resources, schools and districts need some criteria to decide how to distribute their resources to help teachers improve MKT. This study explores what factors in teachers' backgrounds are related to their levels of MKT. This article examines the relationships between the MKT of 336 elementary teachers and their demographic, educational, and teaching backgrounds. To measure MKT, I used a series of multiple-choice problems. The number of years teaching mathematics is not critical to these measures. Implications are discussed with regard to policy for mathematics teacher education.

A Study on Social Capital and Satisfaction of Elderly life (사회적 자본과 노인 삶의 만족도 연구)

  • This paper investigates the differences in norms, values, and trusts that affect the quality of life of the elderly, as well as the elderly population. The elderly surveyed 401 households (65 years old or older) residing in N city. As a result of the analysis, there was a difference in life satisfaction according to sex, marital status, educational background, type of household composition and income level in the comparison of life satisfaction according to demographic variables. As a result of examining the influence of social capital on the elderly's life satisfaction, it was found that they contributed to trust, norm, and participation order. This study suggests that future policies of the elderly welfare policy should be considered as a policy that focuses on participation in various social activities that can activate social capital.

A Study on the Characteristics of Active Information and Opinion Giver in the Interactive-Public Communication Space of Internet: Focused on the Characteristics of Opinion Leader (인터넷의 양방향.공개 커뮤니케이션 장을 창출한 적극적 발신행위자의 속성에 관한 연구: 오피니언 리더의 속성을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate characteristics of active information and opinion giver in the interactive-public communication space of internet. More specifically, this study explores that the active information and opinion giver have the same traits with opinion leader, which are personal attributes (topic involvement and individuation), social activity, source of information and influentials, and socio-demographic attributes. The research consisted of a questionnaire, which was administered using e-mail, and 175 replies were returned. The results show that higher activity of sending information and opinion is associated with characteristics of opinion leader. First, It was found that higher activity group in sending information and opinion have higher degree of topic involvement and individuation than lower group. Second, the former is more active behavior than the latter in social activity. Third, it was examined that behaviors of sending and giving information and opinion with interpersonal communication channel was connected with those of the interactive-public communication space in internet. Also, the result of analysis with mass communication channel was found the distinction in three different kinds of magazines which is related with specific media. Finally, characteristics of socio-demography were not different between two group, with the exception of gender.

  • 본 연구는 노인복지시설 종사자의 직무요인이 조직성과에 미치는 영향요인에 대해 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이론적 배경에서 노인복지시설에 관한 문헌 검토와 노인 복지시설 종사자의 직무요인 및 조직성과에 대한 제이론을 검토하였다. 이론을 근거로 실증적 자료의 분석을 통하여 노인복지시설 종사자의 직무요인이 조직성과에 미치는 인과관계의 영향요인에 대해 검증하고자 하였다. 노인복지시설 종사자의 직무요인인 보수, 승진, 조직풍토, 업무환경, 조직구조가 조직성과인 직무만족과 조직몰입 및 충성도에 다르게 영향을 미칠 것으로 가정하였다. 실증적 분석에서는 연구대상에 대한 인구통계학적 분석과 연구모형에 대한 적합도를 검증하며, 구조방정식모형을 향해 가설검증을 실행하고자 한다.

  • 2001년 하반기 이후 디지털 TV 시대가 열리면서 채널의 수와 그에 따른 프로그램의 수가 폭발적으로 증가했다. 그리하여 기존의 방법으로는 시청자가 원하는 프로그램을 선택하는 것이 어려운 일이 되었다. 이 문제를 해결하는 방안으로서 pEPG(personalized Electronic Program Guide)가 많이 연구되어 왔으며 본 논문에서는 pEPG를 위한 추천 방법에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 기존의 추천 방법은 내용기반추천과 협업추천이 대표적인데, 이들은 어느 한족이 우월하다기 보다 각각의 단점을 상호보완해주는 관계에 있다. 각 추천 방법이 TV환경의 pEPG에 적용될 때는 어떤 장단점이 있는지 살펴보고, 이에 인구통계학적추천을 혼합한 기법을 제안한다.

  • 이 논문에서는 무분별한 홍보우편물의 발송 및 낭비의 최소화를 위해서 반응율이 가장 높은 고객만을 타겟팅 하기 위한 방법으로, 읍/면/동 보다 더 작은 단위인 소지역을 대상으로 인구 사회 경제학적 특성을 고려한 Geo-Lifestyle 군집화를 수행하였다. 서울지역 16,357개 소지역 중 마케팅에 의미 있는 15,986개 지역을 대상으로 최종 36개의 소지역단위 군집을 구성하였다.

  • This study explores the relationship between various user factors and the level of trust in ChatGPT, a sophisticated language model exhibiting human-like capabilities. Specifically, we considered demographic characteristics such as age, education, gender, and major, along with factors related to previous AI experience, including duration, frequency, proficiency, perception, and familiarity. Through a survey of 140 participants, comprising 71 females and 69 males, we collected and analyzed the data to see how these user factors have a relationship with trust in ChatGPT. Both descriptive and inferential statistical methods, encompassing multiple linear regression models, were employed in our analysis. Our findings reveal significant relationships between user factors such as gender, the perception of prior AI interactions, self-evaluated proficiency, and Trust in ChatGPT. This research not only enhances our understanding of trust in artificial intelligence but also offers valuable insights for AI developers and practitioners in the field.
