Purpose To survey the perception, knowledge, wishes, and expectations of Korean radiology residents regarding artificial intelligence (AI) in radiology. Materials and Methods From June 4th to 7th, 2019, questionnaires comprising 19 questions related to AI were distributed to 113 radiology residents. Results were analyzed based on factors such as the year of residency and location and number of beds of the hospital. Results A total of 101 (89.4%) residents filled out the questionnaire. Fifty (49.5%) respondents had studied AI harder than the average while 68 (67.3%) had a similar or higher understanding of AI than the average. In addition, the self-evaluation and knowledge level of AI were significantly higher for radiology residents at hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do compared to radiology residents at hospitals located in other regions. Furthermore, the self-evaluation and knowledge level of AI were significantly lower in junior residents than in residents in the 4th year of training. Of the 101 respondents, only 16 (15.8%) had experiences in AI-related study while 91 (90%) were willing to participate in AI-related study in the future. Conclusion Organizational efforts through a radiology society would be needed to meet the need of radiology trainees for AI education and to promote the role of radiologists more adequately in the era of medical AI.

ChatGPT is causing significant reverberations across all sectors of our society, and this holds true for the field of education as well. However, scholarly and societal discussions regarding ChatGPT in academic settings have primarily focused on issues such as plagiarism, with relatively limited research on the positive effects of utilizing generative AI. Additionally, amidst the educational crisis of the post-COVID era, there is a growing recognition of the need to enhance academic engagement. In light of these concerns, we investigated how academic engagement varies based on students' levels of ChatGPT literacy and examined whether students' academic confidence and perceived academic competence serve as mediators between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. An analysis using SPSS was conducted on the data collected from 406 college students. The results showed that ChatGPT literacy had a positive effect on academic engagement, and academic confidence mediated the relationship between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. Also, when the mediating effect of perceived academic competence was significant only when it was serially mediated. Based on these findings, we discussed the theoretical contributions of identifying the theoretical mechanism between ChatGPT literacy and academic engagement. In addition, practical implications regarding the importance of ChatGPT literacy education were described.
The rapid advancement of generative AI has ushered in an era where anyone can create and freely utilize personalized chatbots without the need for programming expertise. This study aimed to develop a customized chatbot based on OpenAI's GPTs for the purpose of pre-service teacher education and to analyze its educational performance in mathematics as assessed by educators guiding pre-service teachers. Responses to identical questions from a general-purpose chatbot (ChatGPT), a customized GPTs-based chatbot, and an elementary mathematics education expert were compared. The expert's responses received an average score of 4.52, while the customized GPTs-based chatbot received an average score of 3.73, indicating that the latter's performance did not reach the expert level. However, the customized GPTs-based chatbot's score, which was close to "adequate" on a 5-point scale, suggests its potential educational utility. On the other hand, the general-purpose chatbot, ChatGPT, received a lower average score of 2.86, with feedback indicating that its responses were not systematic and remained at a general level, making it less suitable for use in mathematics education. Despite the proven educational effectiveness of conventional customized chatbots, the time and cost associated with their development have been significant barriers. However, with the advent of GPTs services, anyone can now easily create chatbots tailored to both educators and learners, with responses that achieve a certain level of mathematics educational validity, thereby offering effective utilization across various aspects of mathematics education.
This paper aims at providing a critical view over the cybernetics theory especially of first generation on which the artificial intelligence heavily depends nowadays. There has been a commonly accepted thought that the conception of artificial intelligence could not has been possible without being influenced by N. Wiener's cybernetic feedback based information system. Despite the founder of contemporary cybernetics' ethical concerns in order to avoid an increasing entropy phenomena(social violence, economic misery, wars) produced through a negative dynamics of the western modernity regarded as the most advanced form of humanism. In this civilizationally changing atmosphere, the newly born cybernetic technology was thus firmly believed as an antidote to these vices deeply rooted in humanism itself. But cybernetics has been turned out to be a self-organizing, self-controlling mechanical system that entails the possibility of telegraphing human brain (which are transformed into patterns) through the uploading of human brain neurons digitalized by the artificial intelligence embedded into computing technology. On this background emerges posthuman (or posthumanism) movement of which concepts have been theorized mainly by its ardent apostles like N. K. Hayles, Neil Bedington, Laurent Alexandre, Donna J. Haraway. The converging of NBIC Technologies leading to the opening of a much more digitalizing society has served as a catalyst to promote the posthuman representations and different narratives especially in the contemporary visual arts as well as in the study of humanities including philosophy and fictional literature. Once Bruno Latour wrote "Modernity is often defined in terms of humanism, either as a way of saluting the birth of 'man' or as a way of announcing his death. But this habit is itself modern, because it remains asymmetrical. It overlooks the simultaneous birth of 'nonhumaniy' - things, or objects, or beasts, - and the equally strange beginning of a crossed-out God, relegated to the sidelines."4) These highly suggestive ideas enable us to better understand what kind of human beings would emerge following the dazzlingly accelerating advancement of artificial intelligence technology. We wonder whether or not this newly born humankind would become essentially Homo Artificialis as a neuronal man stripping off his biological apparatus. However due to this unprecedented situation humans should deal with enormous challenges involving ethical, metaphysical, existential implications on their life.
At the Davos Forum in 2016, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a reference to cloud Schwab, is dramatically changing our lives, and at its height, self-driving cars are emerging as the talk of the day. But there are still many hurdles to overcome before the nation can successfully introduce and establish self-driving cars. In particular, it is necessary to change the paradigm of the legal system centered on human beings to one that includes artificial intelligence. The stable operation of the self-driving car era requires drastic changes to the people-centric legislation system. That is, it is necessary to collect information on the total number of drivers of self-driving cars (what is available), general vehicles on general roads, civil and criminal liability issues in the event of traffic accidents, and collection of insurance problems concerning autonomous driving vehicles. In this study, a separate bill was proposed to address the various legal issues arising from the operation of self-driving cars from a legislative perspective by considering the domestic laws related to road transport, the current state of legislation on foreign soil and legal issues related to self-driving cars.

This study starts with the consciousness of what should be the public pension service that meets the 4th Industrial Revolution era. To do this, we review the current status of non-facing services of domestic and foreign public institutions, and draw out implications for revitalizing non-facing services of the National Pension over the medium to long term. First, we reviewed the status of non-face-to-face service and the authentication method of the National Pension Service. Next, we reviewed the status of non-facing services in public pension and private agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Based on the results of the analysis, we needs to analyze the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution on the National Pension Service and extract future strategies, to expand channels of non-facing by business, to introduce PinTech as a non-facing authentication method, and to propose a unified service channel through the construction of an internet integrated portal. In the 4th industrial revolution era, it is possible to secure the connectivity of government portal for civil affairs and intelligence and automation introducing artificial intelligence robots.

The late 20th century saw the industrial period end only to transform into the digital era where people have begun to pay attention to craft because it a field that respects emotion as the essential value, an alternative to overcome the side effect that people have created. Today a new world - where the virtual and the real co-exist through artificial intelligence (AI) - has suddenly approached us and the future of craft is faced with a new situation as it needs to present a new creative solution as a tool that is necessary for human way of life - a tool that has been a necessity throughout history and the evolution of life. As a result for a continued development, craft attempts to establish a new paradigm through current trends represented by our modern society, which is the emergence of creative development through convergence. This study presents creative experiments attempted through the convergence of craft with other heterogeneous tendencies connected to the field. The objective of the study is to enable makers to acquire a more creative way of thinking at the same time as inspiring them and suggesting new creative possibilities in order to develop their work through creative convergence. In Chapter 2, the study investigates on the current status of craft in general, and compares it with what is taking place in Korea; in Chapter 3 the significance of convergence in craft and the process of creating is addressed through case studies. Lastly in Chapter 4, with the basis on analytical case studies, the attribute and the potential of convergence in the field of craft is observed. By analyzing different phenomena presented through attempts to converge in contemporary craft, it has been possible to view the future of the 21st century craft through assessments on what is active and what is as yet hidden potential.
It is anticipated that the employment structure of the whole industry will change drastically as the Fourth Industrial Revolution era arrives. Particularly, there are numerous reseraches that the development of artifical intelligence will promote automation causing jobs in manufacturing industry to decrease; thus, the economy will be reorganized with service-centered jobs, which heavily depend on human ability. This study was conducted to verify the trend-forecasting model based on the theoretical analysis. We analyzed the change in employment structure over the past decades in each country and period to gain insights from the changes in the employment structure caused by the Fourth Industrial Revoltion. The results of this study are as follows: First, we investigaed whether the current economy is moving along the U-shaped model suggested by an existing researcher. As a result of the analysis, the data substantiated that the change of the employment structure is moving along the U-shaped model. It is also suggested that this U-shaped trend is expected to accelerate in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the future, more accurate data analyses are needed to verify the model, and additional researches on the change in the employment structed is also needed.

In the era of big data, interest in data is exploding. In particular, the development of the Internet and social media has led to the creation of new data, enabling the realization of the era of big data and artificial intelligence and opening a new chapter in convergence technology. Also, in the past, there are many demands for analysis of data that could not be handled by programs. In this paper, an analysis model was designed and verified for classification of unstructured data, which is often required in the era of big data. Data crawled DBPia's thesis summary, main words, and sub-keyword, and created a database using KoNLP's data dictionary, and tokenized words through morpheme analysis. In addition, nouns were extracted using KAIST's 9 part-of-speech classification system, TF-IDF values were generated, and an analysis dataset was created by combining training data and Y values. Finally, The adequacy of classification was measured by applying three analysis algorithms(random forest, SVM, decision tree) to the generated analysis dataset. The classification model technique proposed in this paper can be usefully used in various fields such as civil complaint classification analysis and text-related analysis in addition to thesis classification.
The changes in the 4th industrial revolution era are not limited to specific sectors, but affect all sectors of industry. Thus all companies are required to respond effectively to changes. Some companies response by adopting cutting-edge ICT and some companies improve the organizational structure, or enhance the competence of individual employees. This study is based on the assumption that the responses to the change in the 4th industrial revolution era should not be uniform, and that the response strategies and priorities should vary according to the characteristics of the companies. The purpose of this study is to suggest both different response strategies and the priority of the responding factors(areas) to small and medium-sized enterprises. Data were collected through the semi-Delphi method. As a result of data analysis, the priorities of the medium-sized enterprises were as follows: introduction of IT-strengthening the competence of the individuals - establishing technology infrastructure-improving organizational structure - efficiency of work - improving organizational culture. While the priorities of the response factors(area) of the small-sized companies were as follows: strengthening the competence of the individuals - efficiency of work - introduction of IT - establishing technology infrastructure - improving organizational structure - improving organizational culture.
