Smart Air Conditioning Service Using Bio-signal and Emotional Lighting (생체신호와 감성조명을 이용한 스마트 에어컨 서비스)

  • Recently, in the market of home appliances, the technical differentiation of products using convergence technology has been receiving a lot of response to satisfy consumer demand. However, air-conditioner products are an area that requires research and development in the early stages of convergence technology. In this paper, it is developed that a non-contact bio-signal(respiration, movement) collection technology using IR-UWB(Impulse-Radio Ultra Wideband) technology, which controls the air-conditioner direction according to the user's location and also monitors sleep to provide an optimal sleep environment. In addition, emotional lighting and ASMR are developed to provide a comfortable and emotional place of life. Finally, based on the developed convergence technology, we develop intelligent smart air-conditioning services for the convenience of daily life and a comfortable resting space.

Innovation Patterns of Machine Learning and a Birth of Niche: Focusing on Startup Cases in the Republic of Korea (머신러닝 혁신 특성과 니치의 탄생: 한국 스타트업 사례를 중심으로)

  • As the Great Reset is discussed at the World Economic Forum due to the COVID-19 pandemic, artificial intelligence, the driving force of the 4th industrial revolution, is also in the spotlight. However, corporate research in the field of artificial intelligence is still scarce. Since 2000, related research has focused on how to create value by applying artificial intelligence to existing companies, and research on how startups seize opportunities and enter among existing businesses to create new value can hardly be found. Therefore, this study analyzed the cases of startups using the comprehensive framework of the multi-level perspective with the research question of how artificial intelligence based startups, a sub-industry of software, have different innovation patterns from the existing software industry. The target firms are gazelle firms that have been certified as venture firms in South Korea, as start-ups within 7 years of age, specializing in machine learning modeling purposively sampled in the medical, finance, marketing/advertising, e-commerce, and manufacturing fields. As a result of the analysis, existing software companies have achieved process innovation from an enterprise-wide integration perspective, in contrast machine learning technology based startups identified unit processes that were difficult to automate or create value by dismantling existing processes, and automate and optimize those processes based on data. The contribution of this study is to analyse the birth of artificial intelligence-based startups and their innovation patterns while validating the framework of an integrated multi-level perspective. In addition, since innovation is driven based on data, the ability to respond to data-related regulations is emphasized even for start-ups, and the government needs to eliminate the uncertainty in related systems to create a predictable and flexible business environment.

Changes of Diterpenoids Levels under Different Environmental Condition Tobacco Leaves (담배의 생육단계 및 환경조건에 따른 Diterpenoids 함량 변화)

  • This experiment was conducted to determine the influences of growth stage, stalk position and growth environment on duvatrienediols(DVT-diols) and cis-abienol production in Nicotiana tabacum L. The leaves of plants at transplanting stage contained very small amount of duvatrienediols and cis-abienol. Comparing leaves on different stalk position at flowering stage, upper and middle leaves contained more DVT-diols and cis-abienol than lower leaves. Plants grown under controlled environmental room at 3$0^{\circ}C$ contained more DVT-diols and cis-abienols than room at 18$^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$ and glass room. Tobacco plant grown under field condition produced lower levels of duvatrienediols and cis-abienol contents than glass room-grown plants. The amounts of duvatrienediols and cis-abienol of tobacco leaves significantly decreased after rain under field conditions.

  • As various crimes such as theft, assault, and sex crimes are increasing, each local government is installing CCTVs to prevent them, and operating and managing control centers for emergency response. When the control center detects a dangerous situation in the field, it responds immediately in connection with the police or 911. However, since it is managed by humans, the response speed is anomalous and the reality is that it is mainly used for post-processing. Therefore, through the artificial intelligence LED signage, it notifies the emergency situation at the site, and it serves as a warning function before getting help from passers-by or an accident occurs. In this paper, we design and research a warning system such as changing the lighting color of the LED signboard or making a sound by reflecting the artificial intelligence algorithm. We intend to contribute to public safety and social safety through this study.

  • With 78% of current fisheries workers being elderly, there's a pressing need to address labor shortages. Consequently, active research on smart aquaculture technologies, centered on object detection and tracking algorithms, is underway. These technologies allow for fish size analysis and behavior pattern forecasting, facilitating the development of real-time monitoring and automated systems. Our study utilized video data from cameras outside aquaculture facilities and implemented fish detection and tracking algorithms. We aimed to tackle high maintenance costs due to underwater conditions and camera corrosion from ammonia and pH levels. We evaluated the performance of a real-time system using YOLOv7 for fish detection and the SORT algorithm for movement tracking. YOLOv7 results demonstrated a trade-off between Recall and Precision, minimizing false detections from lighting, water currents, and shadows. Effective tracking was ascertained through re-identification. This research holds promise for enhancing smart aquaculture's operational efficiency and improving fishery facility management.

  • 지난 4월 25일 종합과학기술심의회에서 국책사업으로 "다목적 실용위성 개발사업"의 기본계획, 개발체계, 정부부처간 역할분담 등 세부계획이 심의.의결을 거쳐 확정되었다. 이 사업은 오는 97년까지 정부지원 1천4백15억원 민간출연 2백35억원을 포함 총 1천6백50억원을 투입하여 해양탐사.환경관측.과학실험 등에 활용할 수 있는 지구저궤도용 다목적 실용위성을 개발 발사하는 것을 목표로 추진되고 있다. 다목적 실용위성 개발사업은 추진 체계 및 일정이 최종 확정됨에 따라 항공우주연구소를 사업총괄 주관기관으로 오는 9월부터 본격적으로 착수될 전망이다. 인공위성연구센터가 우리별 1호와 2호를 성공적으로 발사하여 우리나라 위성분야의 새로운 장을 열어 놓은데 이어 다목적 실용위성 개발사업이 구체화 됨에 따라 사업의 총괄 주관기관으로 선정된 항공우주연구소를 탐방하여 홍재학소장과 대담을 통하여 구체적인 사업추진 계획과 전망을 조명함은 물론 우주 첨단과학 기술의 산실인 항공우주연구소의 활동상황과 앞으로의 포부를 들어 보았다.

  • 본 논문에서는 식물재배기에 유입되는 조도 정보를 자동 센싱하여 대상 식물의 생육에 적합한 목표조도와 비교과정을 거쳐 LED의 밝기를 지능적으로 제어하기 위한 상황인식기반의 식물재배용 LED 제어 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 먼저 식물 생육 환경 모니터링을 위해 조도, 온도, 습도, CO2 등의 이기종 센서들을 ZigBee 기반의 통합센서 형태로 설계 및 제작하고, GUI기반의 모니터링 시스템을 구현하여 실시간으로 식물 생육 환경 정보를 수집한다. 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 재배대상식물의 표본데이터 중 광보상과 광포화 정보를 기준으로 상황에 따라 변화하는 외부 조도정보와 비교하여 LED 인공광의 밝기를 시스템에 의한 자율 처리에 의해 지능적으로 제어함으로써 불필요한 조명 에너지 소비를 절감하고자 한다.

  • 현재 국내외에 거실을 잡기위한 노력들이 전방위적으로 이뤄지고 있다. 거실에서 쉽게 쇼핑을 하고, 커튼이나 조명을 켜고, 음악을 듣고, 피자를 시켜 먹으며, 외부 약속을 위해 택시를 부르는, 글로벌 기업들의 '스마트 홈'의 기능으로 인공지능과 음성인식을 통한 산물이 되었다. 또한 이러한 데이터를 중심으로 빅데이터의 보고가 되어간다. 때문에 구글, 아마존, MS, 삼성과 우리나라의 SKT와 LG 등의 기업들이 이러한 기술기반으로 접근하는 현황을 파악하고, 기술에 대한 적정성을 제안할 필요가 있다.
