We have studied the effect of auricular acupuncture on postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV). 100 female patients undergoing transabdominal hysterectomy were entered into the study. The patients were divided into two groups (auricular acupuncture treatment group and non-treatment group) to test the effectiveness of auricular acupuncture. acupuncture consisted of needle insertion in one ear at four points: sympathetic, stomach, shinmoon and occiput. Before the operation, the above points were punctured perpendicularly by the thumbtack-type needle, leaving its handle lying flat on the skin surface. There was no significant difference in age, weight, height and duration of anesthesia among the two groups of patients. There was a cignificant difference between the control group and auricular acupuncture treatment group in the incidence of vomiting at the first 12 h after surgery 68% and 30%, respectively, p<0.01) No noteworthy side effects fbom treatment were observed. auricular acupuncture is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting after transabdominal hysterectomy in female patients.

현대사회의 의료 시술 중 부작용이 거의 없으며 배우기 쉬워 일상적으로 널리 사용되고 있는 의료형태를 대체의학이라 한다. 많은 선진국에서 미래형 의료 서비스로 대체의학에 관한 연구를 활발히 진행하고 있다. 대체의학은 종류가 많지만 그 중 귀에 몸의 각 부위가 상응하는 반사점이 있으며 이를 자극하여 치료하는 형태를 이침요법(耳針療法)이라 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 이침요법(耳針療法)을 사용하여 폐에 상응하는 이혈 반사점을 자극하였을 때 음성의 변화를 분석하는 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 폐 이혈(耳穴) 자극 전과 후의 음성을 수집하고 기존 연구를 기반으로 폐와 연관성이 있는 음성분석 요소인 발화속도, Intensity 기술을 적용하여 변화 지표를 측정하고 이를 분석하여 이혈요법의 효과를 입증하는 연구를 수행하였다.

건강에 대한 예방과 관리를 반영한 것이 대체의학이다. 대체의학 중에 이침(耳針)요법은 부작용이 적은 방법으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 이침요법은 간단한 교육과정을 거친 후 자가 진단을 통해 응급처치가 가능한 것으로 실생활에서 손쉽게 이용되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 심장에 해당하는 이(耳)혈 상응점을 자극하여 심장과 관련된 음성 요소의 변화를 측정하였다. 이를 위해 심장에 해당하는 이(耳)혈 상응점을 자극하기 전과 후의 음성을 수집하여 음성 분석 요소 중 Jitter와 2Formant Frequency Bandswidth을 적용하여 단위 시간안의 발음에서 성대 진동의 변화율과 공명강의 변화를 통해 심장과 음성의 상관성을 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다.

Yak-ju treatment is regarded as a new way to give a medication, and used many parts of medical field such as musculo-skeletal, aesthetic and cosmetic part. Recently I've experienced a good result by Yak-ju treatment for managing obese patient who had failed to lose his weight by conventional existing treatments comprised of herbal medicine, electro-lypolysis, negative pressure, ear acupuncture, behavior modification therapy and education for diet and exercise. This method can be recommended as a new method for curing obesity that can make up for the weak point of existing ways.

본 논문에서는 귀의 형태와 색을 통해서 질병을 자가진단 후 귀의 특정 부위를 자극하는 이침요법을 위한 시술 보조 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 피시술자의 귀의 이미지 정보와 질병에 대한 정보를 처리하여 이침을 위한 혈자리를 귀 이미지에 표시해 주는 시스템을 구현하였다. 특히 귀를 인식하는 부분에 있어서, Haar-like feature와 Adaboost알고리즘을 사용하는 OpenCV내의 함수를 사용하였고 인식된 귀영역을 그리드 영역으로 나누고 질병에 대한 사전 정보에 따라서 그리드 영역내의 이침혈자리 시스템을 표시하는 시스템으로 구성하였다.

The auricular acupuncture therapy is stimulus treat method that acupuncts or moxibusts at the reaction blood vessel point of various diseases in the upper portion of ear. And this effects from the reaction blood vessel point of an ear to the meridian of whole body system through blood stream. The auricular acupuncture has cured and cared signs and symptoms of many diseases and pathologic problems. And this treatment heels abnormal reactions, nursing focuses so it was examined through literature review that nurses use many portions of the auricular acupuncture in their clinical cares of oriental medicine. This study was proved that the Mae-Chim acupuncture method among various methods of the auricular acupuncture is easy and simple so this method can be used by nurses. And the ear acupuncture site which controls diarrhea, insomnia, migraine, stress vomiting, dyspepsia, high fever, insufficient lactation, bowel dysfunction, menoxenia, anxiety, pruritus and can be found easily and is few the number of acupuncture so the oriental medicine nurses can apply easily to their clients. Therefore the independent oriental medicine nursing intervention can be developed by application of the auricular acupuncture therapy on the oriental medicine clinical nursing and home care in our community.

With recent increase in interest on health through extension of life expectancies of people, desire of smokers to stop smoking is also getting stronger. Korean medicine uses Auricular Acupuncturing as a treatment to stop smoking. This Study examined whether Auricular Acupuncturing is actually effective by manufacturing device that can stimulate lung point and endocrine point that are known to be effective in stop smoking through low frequency stimulation. Firstly, Low Frequency Stimulator for Auricular Acupuncturing to quit smoking (HBN-001) was developed as an experimental device by combining low frequency stimulation to auricular acupuncture points and headset, and was pilot tested on 20 subjects. The average quantity of cigarette smoked prior to the application of the procedure was 12.19, which was reduced to 10.34 cigarettes after 2 weeks with more than 5 sessions of Auricular Acupuncturing. However, there was no statistically significant difference. The changes in the desire to smoke following the procedure included 4 subjects (20%) with no change, 4 (20%) with slight reduction, 4 (20%) with 25%~49% reduction, 6 (30%) with 50%~75% reduction, 1 (5%) with 75%~99% reduction and 1 (5%) with complete elimination of desire to smoke. Changes in how cigarette smoking tasted included 2 subjects (10%) with slight improvement, 7 (35%) with no change, 6 (30%) with slight worsening and 5 (25%) with substantially worsened taste. Based on the results of the Pilot Test, it appears that Auricular Acupuncturing could be affirmatively helpful in quitting smoking, and further researches in greater depth would be necessary in the future.

삶이 윤택해지면서 선진국에서는 건강에 대한 관심도가 높아 질병이 발생되기 전에 조기에 진단하여 예방하는 대체의학이 관심을 받고 있으며 이러한 대체의학 중 귀에 침을 자입을 하여 치료를 하는 이침(耳針)요법이 있다. 이침 요법은 부작용이 적고 자가 진단을 통해 응급처치가 가능한 것으로 실생활에서 손쉽게 이용하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 신장에 해당하는 이(耳)혈 상응점을 자극하여 신장과 관련된 지각(地閣)의 색 변화를 측정하였다. 이를 위해 동일한 조건에서 시행되는 신장 상응점을 자극하기 전과 후의 영상을 기반으로 이목구비 추출 및 색상 분석 프로그램을 이용하여 CMYK 중 검정 색상값을 의미하는 K값의 변화율을 적용하여 비교, 분석하였다. 결과적으로 신장 상응점 자극에 의해 K값이 낮아져 신장에 해당하는 혈(穴)을 자극할 시에 신장이 안정화 되었다는 결론을 도출하였다.

삶의 지표가 상승함에 따라 선진국에서는 건강에 대한 관심도가 높아져 질병이 발생되기 전에 조기에 진단하여 예방하는 건강 패턴이 행해지고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같은 예방 분야를 반영한 것이 대체의학이며 이침 요법은 부작용이 적은 방법으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 이침 요법은 교육과정을 거친 후 자가 진단을 통해 응급처지가 가능한 것으로 실생활에서 손쉽게 이용되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 신장에 해당하는 이(耳)혈 상응점을 자극하여 신장과 관련된 음성 요소의 변화를 측정하였다. 이를 위해 신장 이혈 상응점을 자극하기 전과 후의 음성을 수집하여 음성 분석 요소 중 제 1 Formant Bandwidth와 Jitter, Shimmer값을 적용하여 비교, 분석하였다. 결과적으로 신장 이혈 상응점 자극에 의해 성대 진동의 변화율이 낮아져 발음의 정확성을 나타내는 결론을 도출하였다.

Objectives : This study was performed to examine the effectiveness of auricular acupuncture to adult men on smoking cessation. Methods : 47 smoking people was divided two groups : experimental group(treated with auricular acupuncture therapy, n=22) and control group(not treated with auricular acupuncture therapy, n=25). We used Lung point, Shenmen point and Endocrine point twice a week for 4 weeks to experimental group. We assessed the changes in amount of daily smoking, desire of smoking, taste of smoking and nicotine dependence as well as subjective symptoms were studied. Results : The experimental group showed significant decrease in amount of daily smoking, desire of smoking, taste of smoking and nicotine dependence. Subjective symptoms also showed improvement comparing to control group. Conclusions : Acupuncturing lung, shenmen, and endocrine point showed effectiveness on decreasing smoking rates and subjective symptoms. Therefore the auricular acupuncture therapy is expected to helpful to smoking cessation and improve the health of smokers.
