The researcher analyzed the reasons which applies NPM, the state where its concrete technique is applied in public library management reform, and transfiguration process of management forms(outsourcing, contracting out and designated manager system, private finance initiative. etc.)

  • 지구라는 한정된 자원을 사용하며 살아가는 인류에게 지구의 온난화와 에너지원의 고갈 등은 인류의 미래를 보장 할 수 없는 단계에 이르렀다. 몇 번의 오일쇼크와 오존층의 파괴 등 지구환경의 변화는 이제 남의 일이 아니다. 세계적인 관심사가 이제야 친환경으로 모아지는 것은 오히려 늦은 감이 있다. 건축계에서도 친환경 및 지속가능한 건축이란 명제가 화두가 된지도 몇 해가 지났다. 그러나 이직도 구체적인 실천이 미흡한 것도 사실이다. 그 이유로는 막연한 개념과 건축에의 구체적인 적용방법의 이해 부족에서 기인한 점도 적지 않다고 본다. 이에 "건축사"지에서는 우리협회의 "친환경건축설계아카데미 건축강좌"의 내용의 일부를 선정하여 요약 연재함으로써 친환경건축에 대한 회원들의 이해를 돕고, 친환경 건축이 활성화 될 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 실무에 도움이 될 수 있었으면 하는 바람이다.

  • 우리 회사의 경영방침은 "고객을 하늘처럼", "품질을 생명처럼"입니다. 그러나 궁극적인 목적은 직원과 가족의 행복입니다. 여기에 가장 우선순위를 두고 있는 사항이 바로 안전입니다. 직원이 다치고 해치면서까지 일을 한다면 절대 행복해 질 수 없는 이유인 것입니다. 또한 우리 회사가 추구하는 "고객을 하늘처럼"과 "품질을 생명처럼"을 실천할 수 없기 때문인 것입니다. 한편으로 한국몰렉스의 안전은 기업이 존립하기 위한 기반이라고 생각합니다. 위험하고 안전하지 않은 기업에는 절대 직원들이 일을 하지 않을뿐더러 이러한 기업은 곧 사라지기 마련이기 때문입니다. 따라서 우리 한국몰렉스는 앞으로도 직원의 안전을 위해 지속적인 투자와 관심으로 보다 안전한 한국몰렉스를 추구해 나갈 것입니다. 현재 길 건너편에 새로운 공장을 건설하고 있는 것도 안전시스템이 완비한 공장과 쾌적하고 즐거운 직장을 만들어주기 위함입니다. 이러한 노력은 앞으로도 계속될 것이고 이러한 기반 위에서 직원들도 자기 자신의 안전을 위해 기준을 준수하는 생활을 해줄 것으로 믿습니다.

열정! 건설현장을 찾아서 - (주)대건 삼척고 이전 진입도로 개설공사 현장

  • 최근 근로자들과 함께하는 자율안전관리로 유명세를 떨치고 있는 현장이 있어 업계의 주목을 받고 있다. 그 주인공은 바로 중견건설사인 (주)대건이 시공을 하고 있는 '삼척고 이전 진입도로 개설공사 현장'이다. 이곳 현장은 안전보건공단이 인정한 '위험성평가 우수사업장'으로, 임직원과 근로자들이 하나가 되어 적극적인 재해예방활동에 나서고 있다. 즉 정부가 최근 강조하고 있는 '상생 안전'을 모범적으로 실천하고 있는 것이다. 이처럼 이곳이 안전을 최우선 가치로 내세우는 배경에는 근로자의 생명을 보호하고 건강을 지키기 위함도 있지만, 가장 큰 이유는 해당 현장이 '학교'와 관련이 있기 때문이다. 만약 소홀한 안전관리와 부실공사로 인해 사고 등의 문제가 발생할 경우 소중한 미래 인적자원인 학생들에게 해가 될 것이라 판단, 안전에 각별한 주의를 기울이고 있는 것이다. 근로자는 물론 학생들의 생명과 꿈을 지키기 위해 철저하게 안전관리를 펼치고 있다는 이곳 현장을 찾아가봤다.

A Study on the Status for Oral Health Education of Dental Patients (치과에 내원하는 환자의 구강보건교육 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The present study accentuate to investigate attitude and behavior about oral health education. The purpose is to provide awareness the importance of oral health education in dental clinics. A total of 350 surveys were over the age of 18 who visited oral health institutes in Chollabuk-Do, Korea. Survey was conducted with self-reported questionnaires from March 22 through April 10, 2004. The results were as follows: 1. The experience to receive oral health education, female, better educated and homemakers made a higher request. 2. Concerning practice they learned, the patients who were female, in there 30s, better educated and government works practiced was it the best. As for why didn't apply learned, they had not concerned about that (62.8%). 3. The greatest rate of respondents had been scaling in content of oral health Dental Patients education (35.3%) and 42.2% were informed flossing except tooth brushing in regarding auxiliary oral hygiene devices. 4. Respondents showed that tooth brushing was more frequently helpful (46.9%) and food control was 10.1% after oral health education. 5. To oral health care by oral health education, there was no significantly different in tooth brushing method and their teeth cleaned every two years (25.7%) and they used floss and the interproximal brush (30.6%).

A Study on Oral Health Knowledge, Recognition, Practice and Satisfaction of Patients by Applying a Targeted Program within a Dental Hygiene Process (치위생과정에서의 일부 프로그램 적용에 따른 환자의 구강건강지식, 인식, 실천과 만족도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate a clinical preventative care program, based on a dental hygiene process (accessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation; ADPIE) in a dental clinic, by analyzing patient recognition, knowledge, practice, and satisfaction with respect to oral health. The collected data (in percentages) were analyzed Fisher's exact test and paired t-test using IBM SPSS ver. 21.0 (IBM Co., USA). This study demonstrated a significant difference in oral health knowledge, recognition, and practice before and after the clinical preventive care program (p<0.05). The results were significant in the individual preventive plan within the planning stage, and in the professional teeth cleaning implementation stage (p<0.05). This result can be attributed to the sympathy of the dental hygienist (p<0.05). There was a positive correlation between recommending dental checkups and regular checking of the (r=0.552, p<0.05), undergoing radiography (r=0.434, p<0.01), following an individual preventive plan (r=0.568, p<0.01), undergoing proximal machine teeth cleaning (r=0.437, p<0.05), following tooth brushing instructions (r=0.552, p<0.05), and the evaluation results (r=1.000, p<0.05). Our results demonstrate, that the clinical preventive care program, based on dental hygiene, is an effective program. Given the positive effect of dental revisits and patient recommendations promoting dental hygienists, it is hoped that this preventative program will be widely used.

A survey research on the primary teachers' perception of social emotional learning in Malawi (말라위 초등교사의 사회정서학습에 대한 인식조사 연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the primary teachers' perception of social emotional learning (SEL) in Malawi. To achieve this purpose, total 78 questionnaires were gathered from 9 primary schools in rural area. The data was analyzed with independent-samples t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are follows. First, the sub-factors of the Malawian primary teachers' perception of SEL shows that Comfort is 4.10, Commitment is 4.59, and Culture is 3.78. Second, there was a significant difference in the Malawian primary teachers' perception by age, years of teaching, and participation to in-service training about SEL among the individual characteristics. Third, the Malawian primary teachers' degree of implementation of SEL in school was 4.01, and there was a significant difference by years of teaching. Forth, among the sub-factors of teachers' perception of SEL, Comfort had a positive effect on the degree of implementation of SEL. This result implied that the reason why Malawian primary teachers had difficulty in implementing SEL in the school might be not a lack of individual competence but feel uncomfortable with implementation. Therefore, in order to implement SEL in the Malawi school, it is necessary to support teachers so they have confidence and comfort psychologically.

The temptation of the slippery slope argument: A research of its nature (미끄러운 경사길 논증의 유혹: 그 실체의 탐구)

  • The slippery slope argument means that if we accept a type of action A, we are committed to accepting B, C and eventually N. Then, N is situation which we must not accept morally. It works causal mechnism that B because A is raised, C because B is raised. But in the logic textbooks and treatises, the slippery slope argument is classified as fallacy. The reason is that the argument is not a causal argument. Actually, it is a probable. Also it is argued that the argument is wrong because it fears about the future extremely. But We can not say all slippery slope argument is fallacy even though a slippery slope argument is sometimes fallacy. I think it is persuasive argument in a significant place. Therefore I argue that the argument is not simple logic as a form of thinking, but practical reasoning applied the context of dialogue. So in order to find it to be practical reasoning we demand the new understanding to fallacy theory. In traditionally, fallacy is defined to wrong reasoning logically, but according to Walton, fallacy means a verbal tactic or deceptive trick that can be used to cause someone to fall down in argument. That is to say, whether or not the argument is successful depends on how it uses as argument tactic in a given context of dialogue. Therefore I argue that whether or not the argument is successful, because of it is practical problem used in a context of dialogue, is to be approached to pragma and dialectical method, not semantic.

A Study on the Motivating Factors Affecting the Middle-Aged People in Choosing Major in Social Welfare (중장년층의 사회복지 전공 선택 동기 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposes basic information to make effective environments for social welfare education, revealing the reasons why students choose the social welfare major at Konyang Cyber University. We conducted qualitative research with 41 students in the social welfare department at Konyang Cyber University. The result of this research is as follows. First, most students chose their major to get a certificate that can benefit them in the near future. Second, they chose their major as a way to achieve renown, and to enhance the quality of their lives. Third, they desired to contribute to society through their social work. Finally, individual experiences and family background were also motives. Based on the research, to improve learning outcomes in social welfare education, the necessary learning strategies are as follows. First, goal-oriented learning is necessary for students who want to get the certificate. A practical curriculum needs to contain both practical skills and professional knowledge applicable to the social work field. Second, education for students who choose the major to gain fame, and to develop their lives, requires generation-integrated education to help them review their lives and find their own meaning in life. Third, education for students who choose the major for a practical social contribution has to contain volunteer training that can lead them to be professional volunteers in society. Fourth, education for students who choose the major based on their personal experiences and their family background needs to deal with case management, which discovers the recipients who need help in society and the students who can achieve visible outcomes after all.
