The research on an E-Navigation(E-Nav) strategy development has recently carried out by the IMO sub-committee on safety of navigation(NAV). The design of communication system architecture is a key factor in the E-Nav strategy development and it may drive the direction of a national R&D project on future navigational and marine communication systems. This study aims at designing a standard model of E-Nav communication network architecture, which enhances navigational safety and provides additional benefits in marine transportation. To achieve this purpose, authors have suggested E-Nav services, which are divided into five categories, i.e., safety and security, maritime meteorology, distress, business, and infotainment, by analyzing the related user requirements. As results, this paper proposes the E-Nav communication network architecture that consists of the navigation and communication equipments.

Subject headings support the effective access of children's picture books. However, it is difficult to select subject terms from titles or table of contents in children's picture books because of their relatively little textual information. Therefore, it is necessary to assign subject terms to each picture book. However, it is not adequate to use general subject headings because the types and levels of general subject headings are different from special subject headings for the children's materials. For this reason, this study aims to develop subject headings for children's picture books. The subject terms in A to Zoo were selected, and the selected terms were translated into Korean and modified for the Korean culture and language. Other reference books, such as Elementary Korean Dictionary, were also used to determine adequate terms for children. The resulting subject headings were assigned to the recommended picture books for children and used to search by subject, browse, and recommend books.

In recent years, smart technology has been applied to various information system fields. Especially, traditional library service area is changing to Smart-Library from Digital-Library. In this environment are need to library service software platform for supporting variety content, library services, users and smart-devices. Due to this, existing library service has a limitation that inhibits semantic interoperability between different heterogeneous library systems. In this paper, we propose Linked-Open-Data based smart library as an archetype of future-library system that provide a variety content and system interaction and integration of services. It is an innovative system of the cutting-edge information intensive. Therefore, we designed system environments according to various integration requirements for smart library based on Linked-Open-Data. And, we describe the functional requirements of smart-library systems by considering the users' demands and the eco-systems of information technology. In addition, we show the reference framework, which can accommodate the functional requirements and provide smart knowledge service to user through a variety of smart-devices.

Typical examples as unrecycled materials in Korea were Zinc from the electric arc furnace dust (EAF Dust), and Moiybdenium and Vanadium from the desulfurizing spent catalyst of petrochemical industries. In the otherwise, though recovery of valuable metals from the waste electronic scrap such as printed circuit boards (PCBs) and platinum group metals (PGM) from the waste automobile catalyst have been interesting issues, it is difficult to collect the exact informations or statistics on their material flow system. In this article, The current domestic research trends for unrecycled or less recycled materials have been reviewed, and material flow and recycling technologies on the desulfurizing spent catalyst were surveyed.

The study aims to identify the procedural problems of the archival reference service through Freedom of Information Act. Since FOIA enacted in 1998, there has been a rapid increase of use of government information. However, most of academic users tend to be strongly dissatisfied with the user service. The authors argue that archival reference service through FOIA substantially prevents researchers from using archival records for their research and lower researcher's visits to archival institutions. For this, the study conducted 19 in-depth interviews of academic users and analyzed how FOIA influence academic user's information behaviors based on Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory.

대청호로 유입하는 탁수의 감시와 저수지내의 시공간분포를 예측할 수 있는 실시간 탁수감시 및 예측시스템(RTMMS)을 개발하였다. RTMMS는 탁도와 수온 등 실시간 계측자료를 데이터베이스에 저장.조회하는 실시간 감시(Realtime Monitoring), 2차원 탁수예측 수치모델의 입력자료 생성(Input Data), 탁수예측 수치모델의 수행 (W2 Run), 모의결과의 조회 및 저수지 운영 시나리오별 탁수조절 효과분석을 위한 후처리 (Post-Process) 기능을 제공한다. 시스템의 GUI 화면은 개별 기능을 탭 형식으로 제공하여 사용자가 순차적으로 자료조회와 모델수행 그리고 결과분석을 쉽게 수행할 수 있도록 설계하였다. RTMMS는 강우사상 동안 유입하천의 수온예측을 위해 대기기온, 이슬점온도, 하천유량자료를 독립변수로 이용하는 다중회귀모델(DMR)을 사용하며, 탁도 예측은 유량과 SS 부하량의 상관관계를 이용하는 탁도예측모델(QLM)을 사용한다. 저수지로 유입한 탁수의 밀도류 거동과 시공간적인 탁도분포 예측은 2차원 횡방향 평균 수리 수질해석 모형인 CE-QUAL-W2를 채택하였다. 개발된 시스템은 2004년 홍수기를 대상으로 시범적용 하였으며, 그 결과를 실측자료와 비교하여 제시하였다. RTMMS는 저수지 탁수발생 현황조회, 취수원 도달시간 및 지속기간, 밀도류와 전도현상을 고려한 시공간 분포 예측, 발전 및 수문방류, 선택취수 등 다양한 저수지운영 시나리오에 따른 상.하류 영향 분석, 용수 이용자에게 탁도 예측정보의 제공 등 탁수를 고려한 저수지운영 의사결정지원 도구로써 매우 유용하게 활용 될 것으로 기대된다.

The study analyzed the determinants of bypass healthcare utilization for hospitals in Seoul, of which phenomenon has rapidly risen since the introduction of KTX in 2004. 203 interviewees who had visited hospitals in Seoul using KTX were analyzed. We found that probability of utilization of inpatient service is increased with statistical significance by visiting hospital for the purpose of disease treatment, being aged over 40, being married and so on. This implies that the government needs to consider policies to support higher-level general hospitals in non-Seoul areas to enhance the quality of healthcare. Also hospital accreditation program and P4P program need to be used to help patients choose hospitals based on the accurate information on the quality of health care.

The purpose of this study is to find out the ways of protecting copyrights of North Korean works focusing on the limitations on exclusive rights in the South Korean libraries. This study deals with the articles of the copyright laws which are rotated with using materials in libraries both North and South Korea. It also covers related provisions of Borne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. The past study on the copyright protection has mostly focused on how we protect the copyright of publications and works which are published for profit. This study proposes some solutions from the legal institutional aspects, policy and socio-cultural aspects in order to protect the copyright of North Korean works and improve their use under the limitations on exclusive rights by libraries.

This study aimed to develop an operating manual on the voluntary activity to the library services with disabled people in the public libraries. Various domestic and overseas manuals on the voluntary activity to the library services with disabled people were analyzed. From the survey and expert interviews, five types of most frequently asked library services with disabled people, face-to-face reading, word input services, services to off-library users, mobility aids services and assistance of engineering devices were extraced. Five specific areas on the voluntary activity were chosen in terms of activity area, barrier type, specific activity field, activity purpose and checklist. Finally, contents of the operating manual was applied to the area of face-to-face reading.

This study analyzed the contents and changes by year of metadata research that appeared in the study of domestic movie curation from the viewpoint of art management. The research method used thesis search site to search 'movie' and 'metadata' as keywords, and analyzed them in 4 stages of change according to the research trend by year, purpose of research content, analysis by use, and type of recommendation method. As for research results, movie metadata research is highly interested in user-side research, and is developing from an introduction stage to an evolutionary stage of recommendation to a sharing and participation stage. It was concluded that movie curation evolved into 6 stages: search support, content-based, collaborative filtering, hybrid, artificial intelligence, and curation.
