A Study on the effects of Career Development Center Website Users' recognition on Contents Characteristics on User Responses (취업정보센터 웹사이트 이용자의 컨텐츠 특성에 대한 지각이 이용자 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study aims to examine the effects of Career Development Center website users' recognition on contents characteristics (User Convenience, Information, Customer Service) on user responses (User Satisfaction, User Loyalty). According to the research result, first, Career Development Center of website contents characteristics explained 36.4% User satisfaction, it was affected significantly Information, User Convenience, and Customer Service in order. Second, Career Development Center of website contents characteristics explained 36.2% User loyalty, it was affected significantly Information, Customer Service, and User Convenience in order. Thus, it was important that Web site contents was improved the Users satisfaction and loyalty of Career Development Center Web site.

  • Recently libraries are experiencing an increasing number of difficult patrons because of the increase in the unemployment rate and the problem of mental health in their communities. The problem behaviours of difficult patrons have negative influence to other users and staff in the library. This seems closely associated with the decline in the quality of library services. Therefore, in this study, we developed a how-to-do-it manual for library staff to meet the aforementioned challenges and to enhance the overall quality of library services for both general users and difficult patrons.

An Study on the User Satisfaction of Open Access Activities in Korea (국내 오픈액세스서비스의 이용자 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze service quality factors that affect user satisfaction of Open Access Korea(OAK) services and to draw strategic assignments for activating open access activities in Korea through a user satisfaction survey. User satisfaction indexes were developed to measure all aspects of the OAK services. The quality index, satisfaction index, and performance index were identified in this survey. According to the survey findings, the levels of social quality and social satisfaction are relatively high, this shows the positive evaluation and expectation of researchers for OAK services. However, relatively low level is identified in the area of service process quality, and many opinions about OA contents shortage in Korea represent the importance of the national level contents development strategy. Sustainable policy support, publishing of open access journals, management of institutional repository, OA governance system, expansion of researchers' participation, construction of global collaboration system are suggested as major implications to promote open access activities in Korea.

  • Mobility as a Service(MaaS) is an integrated mobility service that enables flexible reservation and payments for various transportation services on one platform, including existing public transportation. To popularize MaaS, users need to be satisfied with the service, and the factors that lower satisfaction need to be improved. In this study, the structural equation model was used to identify the influence of factors on the overall satisfaction level. Improvement plans to increase user satisfaction were derived based on importance-satisfaction analysis and the decision tree model. The analysis revealed the level of connectivity in MaaS apps to be a significant factor that needs to be improved for a higher user satisfaction level of MaaS

The structural relationships among user citizenship behavior, aberrant user behavior, social connectedness, privacy concern, and user satisfaction (SNS 이용자 시민행동, 불량행동, 사회적 유대감, 프라이버시 침해 우려 및 이용자 만족도간의 구조적 관계)

  • This paper aims at investigating voluntary user participation such as user citizenship behavior and aberrant user behavior in the SNS context. Also it examines on how user participation behavior affects social connectedness, privacy concern, and user satisfaction. The empirical assessment of the research model was conducted using a total of 143 responses. The findings show that user citizenship behavior impacts on social connectedness positively and significantly whereas aberrant user behavior does not influence on social connectedness. Aberrant user behavior is proven not to be related to social connectedness, and to has positive relationship with concern for privacy invasion. Also, the results show that privacy concern is not associated with social connectedness. Finally, social connectedness is shown to be a key determinant of SNS user satisfaction whereas privacy concern is not related to user satisfaction.

Development of Digital Space planning Elements through the Evaluation of Importance (중요도평가를 통한 공공도서관 디지털공간 계획요소 개발)

  • In this study, I tried to provide the basic data for planning the public library space to meet the new needs of the users in digital generation by survey and literature review on factors in planning the digital space of public libraries. In 2000, a separate space for digital materials has been prepared at the most of the libraries as a part of informatization program of public libraries. However, it is not sufficient to provide a number of different needs of the users due to the identical design of all the libraries. For the prioritization, 50 factors have been deducted by review of preceding studies, evaluation factors and criteria of library of each institution. Factorial analysis was performed on the factors with the importance which was higher than average. Also, the relationships among the factors with similar properties were understood to categorize the factors in space planning by each factor. Based on these factors in planning the digital space, further space evaluation of the public library and user satisfaction survey could be followed to provide a fundamental basis for the specific space planning.

  • The measurement of information system (IS) effectiveness is critical to understanding of the value and efficacy of IS actions and IS investments. In this paper, we propose a new model of the user satisfaction index for ISs and present the user satisfaction index which is measured by the proposed model. Based on the representative theories and models in the field of marketing and IS, we propose a new user satisfaction index model and verify the new model through the analysis of structural equation model. The proposed model consists of four basic dimensions : information quality, service quality, systems quality, and user satisfaction. Also, users' royalty and complaint are adopted as the additional dimension in this model. Data was collected from the ITFIND users to measure their satisfaction index. We, then, suggest some strategic guidelines for the better ITFIND which may useful when the system designers consider upgrading of the system in the future.

Factor Analysis on Psychological Cause of Speed Reduction in Expressway Tunnel Section Utilizing Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) (고속도로 터널부 속도 감소에 관한 심리적 요인분석)

  • Tunnel sections on the highway are different from rest of sections on the highway in terms of velocity, the number of passing cars, and vehicle density which, in particular, affect drivers' behavior before and after drivers pass through the tunnel. However, literature review reveals that former studies are too focused on quantitative indicator to consider qualitative aspects. Therefore, this paper conducts survey questionnaire and IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) to find out qualitative improvements on velocity drop on the tunnel sections. The results show as follows: First, drivers require improvements of tunnel form (length and curved form inside tunnel) which is derived from long distance tunnel. Second, experts primarily ask for amendment of geometric characteristics. With comparison of requirements of both drivers and experts, there are many differences in length of tunnel and form of curved tunnel. This also presents that drivers don't satisfy with both length of tunnel and form of curved tunnel that are provided as a part of highway design factors.

  • This paper aims to describe the measurement and improvement of academic library service quality by ISA (Importance-Satisfaction Analysis). This research established service quality model on based LibQUAL+(R). It consisted of 18 items that formed three dimensions, affect of service quality, information control quality, and library as place quality. To execute this research, the service quality according the users' importance and satisfaction of library service is measured through Gaps model and ISA. The data for this case study was collected through the survey conducted the users of the H University library. By applying SPSS 17.0 and Excel 2007, the final 113 surveys were used for analysis.

The Effected Factors on Customer Satisfaction of Medical Service and Willingness to Revisit among Selected Hospital Users in a Local City (일 지방 도시의 종합병원 이용자들의 의료서비스 만족도와 재이용 의사에 미치는 요인)

  • Objectives: This study was to find the effected factors on customer satisfaction for medical service and the willingness to revisit among hospital users Methods: The data was collected by a questionnaire survey from February 1 to April 30, 2004, and 600 samples have been analysed among users of university hospital, private hospital and public hospital in a local city. Results and Conclusions: The satisfaction total score to use hospital was 113.54 points(out of 175 point), these scores were constituted 39.10 points(out of 55 point) on satisfaction score for kindness of hospital employee, 36.28 points(out of 60 point) for equipment utilization and service formality, 18.59 points(out of 30 point) for environmental status and 19.57 points(out of 30 points) for reliability in medical examination and treatment service. The factors effected on satisfaction total score to use hospital were type of visiting hospital, age of customer, convenience to visit the hospital, experience of using other hospitals(R2=0.171). The effected factors of willingness to revisit scores were such as satisfaction score in medical examination and treatment service, satisfaction score of kindness hospital employee, experience of health examination and age of customer($R^2=0.370$). In conclusion, to raise the response's willingness to revisit. This must be reinforced by employee's kindness education and medical service quality.
