The Development of Customer Satisfaction Model by Traffic Information Provision Media (교통정보 제공 매체별 이용자 만족도 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of advanced traffic information system(ATIS) is to help drivers save time and energy in getting to their destinations by providing traffic information through variable message sign(VMS), internet, traffic broadcasting and mobile phones. ATIS does not just provide drivers with benefits in terms of time and energy, but it provides them with psychological benefit as well, i.e., the drivers can relieve their anxiety by getting provided with traffic information. In this study, the efficiency of traffic information system is evaluated and degree of satisfaction of drivers with the system is analyzed by building satisfaction models of various media of traffic information. Each medium has different factors for satisfaction and each factor has different degree of influence, but in general, the efficiency of traffic information in helping drivers choose routes and in providing drivers with peace of mind is considered to have the highest influence on satisfaction of drivers with the system.

  • 카툰 렌더링 그래픽을 기반으로 한 온라인 RPG 게임인 마비노기에서는 게임이용자들이 염색 시스템을 통하여 의복아이템에 자신들이 원하는 색을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있다. 마비노기에서 색에 관련된 주목할 만한 현상은유행색이 존재하고 색에 따라 같은 아이템의 가격이 달라진다는 점이다. 유행색이 존재하는 것은 현실과 비슷하지만 같은 아이템이 색에 따라 가격이 달라지는 것은 현실에서는 보기 드물다. 이는 현실과 비슷하면서도 심리적인 속성이 다른 사이버공간만의 특징이라고 생각해 볼 수 있다. 따라서 마비노기에서 게임이용자들이 색을 선택하고 사용할 때 작용하는 심리기제가 존재할 것이라고 가정해 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 마비노기에서 색 선택 행동의 심리적 유형을 확인하고 유형별 특징을 알아보기 위해 자아존중감을 측정하였다. 예비 조사를 통해 게임이용자 20명과 온라인 인터뷰를 실시하여 색 사용 경험을 추출하고, 추출한 경험을 바탕으로 18문항의 색 선택 행동 문항을 구성하였다. 본 조사에서는 온라인 설문으로 129명의 게임이용자를 대상으로 색 선택 행동과 자아존중감을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 색 선택 행동은 4개의 요인-색채 둔감성, 유행추종, 개성표현, 캐릭터이미지와의 적합성-으로 구분되었다. 색선택 행동 4개의 하위 요인을 기준으로 군집분석한 결과 색 선택 행동 유형은 각각 색 분화형, 유행추종형, 색 둔감형으로 구분되었다. 색 선택 행동 유형과 자아존중감과의 관계에서는 자아존중감 하위 범주 중 부정적인 자기평가, 타인의 의견에 대한 걱정, 의존성의 세 가지 하위 범주에서 색 선택 행동 유형에 따른 차이가 유의미하게 나타났다. 한편 자의식 차원에서는 색 선택 행동 유형간 유의미한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 유행추종형은 다른 두 유형에 비해 상대적으로 자아존중감 수준이 낮음을 확인할 수 있었다. 반대로 색 둔감형은 다른 두 유형에 비해 상대적으로 자아 존중감 수준이 높았다. 색 분화형은 유행추종형과 색 둔감형의 중간 수준의 자아존중감을 볼 수 있었다. 유행추종형은 자기의 외부에서, 색 둔감형은 자기의 내부에서 색과 관련된 자신에 대한 가치감의 소재와 근원을 찾는 특성이 있다고 해석할 수 있다. 본 연구는 온라인 RPG 게임에서 게임이용자들의 색 선택의 심리적 기제를 확인하고 색 선택 유형별로 자아존중감과의 관계를 확인함으로써 색 선택 행동의 심리적 기제를 밝히려는 기초연구라는 점에 의의가 있다. 추후에는 게임이용자들의 색 선택 행동을 보다 포괄적으로 이해하기 위해 게임이용자들이 가지고 있는 공통적인 색이미지와 개별적인 색이미지 및 색이미지의 심리적 구조를 알아보기 위한 색채감성연구가 필요할 것이다. 이러한 연구들은 게임을 제작할 때 캐릭터 디자인과 아이템 디자인에 어떠한 색을 사용해야 되는지 방향을 설정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the User Cognitive Styles in the Web-based OPAC System Evaluation (웹 기반 OPAC시스템 평가에서의 이용자 인지형태에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to discover the correlation between users cognitive style and their attitude towards evaluating the system. Postgraduate students cognitive styles were defined as Verbaliser/Imager and Wholist/Analytic, and the functionality and ease of learning features of a Web-based OPAC(Online Public Access Catalogue) system were evaluated using a combined evaluation methods: interviews for the preliminary survey, a questionnaire far the central data collection, and a psychometric approach for the judgement of students cognitive style using Ridings CSA(Cognitive Style Assessment) tool. Forty-four postgraduate student volunteers responded and data was analysed using SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) for Windows. The statistical analysis of each feature of the evaluation, the correlation between the variables, and the features were explored using Pearsons correlation coefficients(r). In exploring the effects of the cognitive styles of individuals, this study has failed to reveal a significant (P < 0.05) correlations in the interactive Web-based OPACs evaluation. It could be said that the contribution of cognitive styles to evaluating Web-based OPACs is likely to be weaker than that of non-cognitive (or demographic) variables.

Development of Digital Space planning Elements through the Evaluation of Importance (중요도평가를 통한 공공도서관 디지털공간 계획요소 개발)

  • In this study, I tried to provide the basic data for planning the public library space to meet the new needs of the users in digital generation by survey and literature review on factors in planning the digital space of public libraries. In 2000, a separate space for digital materials has been prepared at the most of the libraries as a part of informatization program of public libraries. However, it is not sufficient to provide a number of different needs of the users due to the identical design of all the libraries. For the prioritization, 50 factors have been deducted by review of preceding studies, evaluation factors and criteria of library of each institution. Factorial analysis was performed on the factors with the importance which was higher than average. Also, the relationships among the factors with similar properties were understood to categorize the factors in space planning by each factor. Based on these factors in planning the digital space, further space evaluation of the public library and user satisfaction survey could be followed to provide a fundamental basis for the specific space planning.

  • As a part of the ITS, the traffic information system is more widely adopted to deliver traffic information to vehicle drivers via various types of media. As the ITS system establishment has been recognized as somewhat accomplished, the focus has shifted to the efficient operation and maintenance of the system. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating a VMS traffic information service system from a user's perspective. In particular, relational expressions for the level of information provided and the level of user satisfaction are generated for the evaluation to take place from the user psychological satisfaction aspect of all other beneficial features of the system. As continuous flow facility is the one that has limited entry and exit, the traffic information of VMS plays a significant role for vehicle drivers to make their decisions. A method suggested in this paper could be used for evaluating an existing system as well as setting up the target service level of the system of a new system. If individual system properties are considered along with various VMS functions being as supplement of this research, more systematic evaluation method could be arranged.

  • The variable message sign(VMS) is a facility to smoothen traffic flows and enable safe passing by providing real-time necessary information on roads, weather, transportation, and traffic regulations. The VMS also solves a feeling of uneasiness and gives a sense of psychological security by providing information to drivers. However, the VMS has a strong character of being a non-market product but a public product, so it has not normally been evaluated for its value. This research has evaluated a value of satisfaction level for traffic information users, using a contingent valuation method(CVM). As a result of evaluating the value of satisfaction level for users through division into an urban roadway and an urban highway for the cities where an intelligent transportation system(ITS) has been established, the urban highway had a value of 96.7 won/system and the urban roadway had a value of 76.3 won/system.

  • Owing to a space covered by glass, atrium is an attractive space with a possibility as an inner public space but a typical building type with a high-energy load. From the aspect of global environmental issues, to reduce energy load is an important assignment to solve. Contriving a planning guideline of an opening is considered as the most effective environment adjustment method, to offer a highly assessed amenity space and secure openness to outside, keep the energy load to a minimum, and apply the natural energy such as daylight to a maximum at the same time. Users' assessment of environment was performed by questionnaire survey, then the structure of users' assessment was analyzed and design condition was regulated by multiple regression analysis. The opening design guideline to offer a highly assessed space was proposed with concrete environment adjustment method.

The effect of Attributes of Exercise/Fitness Apps on App Usage: A Convergence Perspective Based on the Self-Determination Theory (운동/피트니스앱 속성이 앱 활용에 미치는 영향: 자기결정성 이론을 기반으로 한 융복합적 관점에서의 탐구)

  • The present study explored how 1) individuals' perception about attributes of exercise/fitness apps and 2) their motivation for exercise/fitness behaviors influence perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. A survey of 323 males and females in their 20's and 30's revealed that attributes of apps that satisfy their basic psychological needs are crucial in promoting perceived usefulness and usage of the apps. Participants were more likely to perceive exercise/fitness apps useful as they perceive them having more attributes related to autonomy and competence. The perception regarding relatedness attributes did not have the main effect on perceived usefulness but showed an interaction effect with relative autonomous motivation. This convergence study which examined health apps from the perspectives of psychology and public health provides practical implications to development and evaluation of health apps.

Study on the Development of Social Evaluation Model for Aids to Navigation Accident (항로표지사고의 사회적비용 평가모델 개발에 관한 연구(I))

  • Aids to Navigation (AtoN) is a marine traffic safety facility used to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of shipping and enhance the protection of the marine environment by the regulations or guidelines of The International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). Our country is managing AtoN to provide consistent services for AtoN users, although an average of 141 AtoN accidents occur annually. An AtoN accident forces non-planned work on the managers to resort the function, and causes psychological anxiety for its users, ultimately resulting in economic losses. This study developed the Social Cost evaluation model of AtoN accidents. The model can be used to quantify the manager's economic activities related to the shutdown and recovery, as well as the cost associated with the inconvenience to AtoN users. The Social Cost evaluation model of AtoN accidents is proposed as the sum of the encounter cost, administration cost and risk cost.

Physiological and Psychological Effects of an Interior Falling Waterscape Facility on University Students (실내 계류형 수경시설이 대학생의 생리·심리에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to quantitatively examine the physiological and psychological effects of a waterscape facility in an interior landscape space. Data were collected as participants under stress relaxed in either an interior space with greenery(Type G) or an interior space with a waterscape facility(Type W). The participants relaxing in the Type W space showed significantly decreased systolic and diastolic blood pressures, and an impression evaluation by the SD method indicated that their impressions were expressed in more positive terms, such as 'vigor', 'dynamism', 'pleasantness', and 'vitality'; when compared to participants relaxing in the Type G space. A POMS analysis showed waterscape elements influenced participants' psychological mood states by decreasing tension and fatigue, but increasing vitality. Introduction of waterscape facilities into interior landscape spaces could therefore provide stressed individuals with health benefits, including decreased blood pressure and positively changed psychological mood states.
