The purpose of this study is to provide a comparative evaluation of container port criteria at four major container ports in the Bay of Bengal, including Colombo Port in Sri Lanka, Chennai Port in India, Chittagong Port in Bangladesh and Yangon Port in Myanmar. Important container port selection criteria are identified and comparisons among container ports are made using previous studies, personal interviews and questionnaires, completed by top shipping companies, freight forwarders, logistics service providers, and experts in Myanmar. The AHP method is used to verify the research model and hypothesis. This study identified five main criteria and eleven sub-criteria when choosing potential regional hub ports among the four ports in the Bay of Bengal. The main findings from the five main criteria suggest that port efficiency is the highest priority criteria, and the second priority is port costs. The criteria of geographical location and available port facilities are the third and fourth most important, respectively, and the last priority is port's hinterland. Regarding the relative competition among these ports, Colombo Port obtained the highest priority among the four influential factors except for port hinterland. This study has certain limitations that will require future research. First, the sample group for the population size is relatively small. Second, interviewees had limited experience answering questionnaires using this methodology and a limited amount of time was available for respondents for the interviews.

가상환경을 위한 상호작용장치의 개발과 성능평가는 이용자에게 현실감과 작업 효율성을 제공하는 측면에서 중요한 의미를 가진다. 본 논문은 감성공학의 일환인 3차원 시청각환경제시기를 활용하여, 휠체어와 자전거를 이용한 네비게이션 장치의 개발과 보편적인 성능평가기준을 이용한 네비게이션 장치의 성능분석을 제시한다. 본 연구는 다양한 대상영역에 대하여 효과적인 상호작용장치의 선택과 조정(tuning)그리고 새로운 장치의 개발을 지원할 것이다.

Recent advancements in information technology and the Internet have caused an explosive increase in the information available and the means to distribute it. However, such information overflow has made the efficient and accurate search of information a difficulty for most users. To solve this problem, an information retrieval and filtering system was developed as an important tool for users. Libraries and information centers have been in the forefront to provide customized services to satisfy the user's information needs under the changing information environment of today. The aim of this study is to propose an efficient information service for libraries and information centers to provide a personalized recommendation system to the user. The proposed method overcomes the weaknesses of existing systems, by providing a personalized hybrid recommendation method for multimedia contents that works in a large-scaled data and user environment. The system based on the proposed hybrid method uses an effective framework to combine Association Rule with Collaborative Filtering Method.

Many university libraries, facing financial difficulties, have been forced to operate on a tighter budget. Such trend has created the need for an objective standard that will prioritize current library services. This study derives service quality factor via open coding from internet postings posted in the last five years on the Korean National Open University's library website, and also calculates the customer satisfaction quotient and dissatisfaction quotient using the Kano Model and Timko's Customer Satisfaction Coefficient. The result draws 25 service quality factors across 3 categories consisting of: (i) 8 attractive qualities, (ii) 15 one-dimensional qualities and (iii) 2 reverse qualities. The study, through the calculation of Timko's Customer Satisfaction Coefficient per service quality, proposes an intensive service that can prioritize the efficient use of library budget.

As LTE service and smartphone are emerging as the mainstream of mobile communications market, the value and importance of mobile data service has been further increased. MNO(mobile network operator)s already recognized the data service as essential market needs, and have appealed to consumers based on various satisfaction elements of data service such as faster transmission speed, expended data volume provided as default, and introduction of unlimited plan. So, in the smartphone market where has been mature, investigating what service attributes affect users' selection of data service is very meaningful from the perspectives of both the industry and the academic. Under this background, this study explores determinants influencing consumer's choice for mobile data service and analyzes relative importance of the attributes among different type of users. The findings of this study makes us extend our understanding of consumer characteristics and their service needs in data service centric era, and it provides some implications for establishing telecommunications policies and business strategies.

This study investigated to understand how the East and the West seek information in terms of their cultural differences. It is designed to explain their cultural differences how they seek particular information when they need it in order to solve a problem in their hands. Survey and simple interview were conducted to compare their differences by sex and ages as well as cultural backgrounds. A total of 72 visitors from 9 countries were randomly selected and participated in this study. The study result shows there are different information seeking behaviors according to their cultural differences. Collected data were analyzed using PASW 18.0.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of web-based encyclopedia services provided by major Korean search portals, Navel, Yahoo-Korea, Empas, and Daum. These encyclopedia services are evaluated in terms of the relevance, up-to-dateness, and multimedia features of search results. In conducting this study, real queries that real users submitted were used. This study also compares functional characteristics of these encyclopedia services. The results of this study can be implemented to the development and improvement of portal's encyclopedia services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing encyclopedia services from search portals.

2011년 7월 초 기준 전 세계적으로 218개의 이동통신사업자들이 LTE(Long Term Evolution) 투자를 진행하고 있으며 24개 사업자들이 상용 LTE 서비스를 제공 중에 있다. 상용 LTE 서비스를 제공하고 있는 통신사업자에 있어 수익원천은 통신요금에 국한되고 있다. 해외의 LTE 요금제는 데이터 전송의 처리량 및 이용제한에 따른 QoS(Quality of Service) 요금 모델이라고 할 수 있다. LTE 서비스를 제공하고 있는 이동통신사들은 서비스 기능이나 품질별로 다양한 계층화된 요금제를 제공하여 사용자들이 선택할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 결국 이러한 요금체계에서는 이동통신사업자들이 LTE의 특성을 가장 잘 반영하고 있는 서비스를 개발해 이용자들이 상위 요금수준을 선택할 수 있도록 하는가가 LTE 활성화의 핵심과제가 되고 있다. 본 고에서는 해외 주요 이동통신사업자의 LTE 서비스 요금제 동향을 분석하고 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of directory services provided by major Korean search portals: Naver, Daum, Yahoo-Korea, and Empas. A directory service of Open Directory is also compared. These directory services are evaluated in terms of the coverage, category creation criteria, site selection criteria, breadth and depth of hierarchy, clarity and currency of category names, order of category listing, and overall classification system. The results of this study can be implemented for the development and improvement of portal's directory services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing directory services from search portals.

현재 우리나라 무대조명 업계내의 시장은 시간이 흐르면서, 조명개발이 더욱 화려하고 실용적인 장비들로 개발되고 있다. 다양한 개발에 앞서 무대조명 등기구의 광학적, 상용적 그리고 구체적인 테스트 방법의 기준이 전무한 상태이다. 업체별로 많은 기준들을 선보이고 있지만, 선택하는 이용자에게 혼란만 야기되므로 통일되고 규범화 시킬 필요성이 있다고 생각한다. 그래서 무대 등기구 가운데 무빙라이트에 대하여 국내외적인 등기구 측정방법과 시스템 구조기술에 대한 내용 중 광학적 성능, 소음제어, 온도제한의 조건 등 대하여 간략하게 제시하고자 하며, 이를 바탕으로 무대조명 장비의 표준화 형성에 도움이 될 수 있도록 제안하였다.
