This study was started on the premise that it was necessary to analyze the users and their needs of the national bibliography in order to develop a new national bibliographic service strategy. Based on this premise, the main purpose of this study is to analyze the users' situation and needs on the Korean national bibliography, and to establish a new service strategy that reflects the user's perspective. In addition, it has a secondary purpose to find the basis for justifying the value and persistence of the national bibliography from user. To this end, first, identified the main user groups of national bibliography through literature and case studies. The data were collected from a interview with 51 people from 4 groups (librarian, researcher, publishing distributor, end user) that are expected to use national bibliography. As a result of the interview, it was possible to confirm very low awareness and utilization of the national bibliography. In addition, the interview results revealed that there is a need for improvement in terms of the method of operating the national bibliography, the content to be provided, and service.

This project surveys and analyzes the utilization of domestic database from user's point of view to find out the problems and factors for improvements of that, and makes efficient use of the result of this project as basic data in producing databases. Also it surveys and analyzes information demand for PC telecommunication users and utilization of PC telecommunication, database, and internet to establish directions of the development for the domestic database industry.

The size of the subway entrance should be calculated according to the user's demand, but Korea has the same size for each entrance by applying a uniform value. Recently, the installation of mobile convenience facilities such as escalators, elevators, etc. is mandated by the traffic weakness promotion law, but it is inconvenient to use the existing stations because it is mainly arranged in the place where it can be installed regardless of user demand. This study aims to establish a model for estimating the size of mobile convenience facilities by predicting the use demand of each station entrance so that the location and size of mobile facilities can be reflected in the design or construction of the station. To this end, a multiple regression model was established to forecast daily demand by utilizing the demand for getting on and off by station and the building association area for each purpose around the railway station. The actual data of Dongdaemun and Jonggak Stations were used to verify the estimated model. In addition, the escalator installation scale was compared / analyzed by doorway using domestic and overseas escalator equations. As a result, it was more accurate to estimate the usage demand for a single station. Also, Jonggak Station has an up and down escalator installed at exit 1, but it was analyzed that it is appropriate to install at exit 4. This study is an advanced form of the essay model for estimating the users of the entrance and exit users of urban railway stations published in 2018. In addition, it seems to be the basis of the current escalator installation criteria.

지난호에 이어 이번호에는 MSSTUDY 보고서의 유럽전자정보서비스(EIS)의 수요측면과 시장개발 계획을 중심으로하여 다루고자 한다. 지난호에서도 언급했듯이 본 보고서는 전자정보서비스를 이용하는 개인, 일반, 기업, 기관, 공공이용자들에 대한 광범위한 조사를 주요 목적으로 작성되었으며 수요와 공급 양자에 대해 시장중심으로 유럽에서는 처음으로 실시된 것임을 밝혀둔다.

To build the system which has high utilization and usefulness for users, it is necessary to know the information type and use-demand that the use want. The purpose of this study is to forecast the preference and demand of utilization for bus information when bus information is offered through cellular phon. The accomplishments of this research are as follow : Firstly, importance on the level of individual factor and the value of change's figure can be evaluated, using preference analysis on bus information by conjoint analysis. Secondly, by establishing the use-demand model bus information using binary logit model, influence factor on whether or not the use of the user. Finally, ordered probit model was built by use behavior model in payment per call or per month of potential user of bus information. Through call times and sensitive analysis by payment methods, elasticity point, optimal payment fee, and use probability was analyzed. This study make application as basic to efficient bus information policy and to improve use rate of bus information in future because this study make it possible to get preference analysis, use-demand analysis and estimation of optimal payment fee which is reflecting various requirement in use of bus information user.

Although the number of users of urban railways is greatly influenced by the land use plan around the railway station, Korea has been studying this problem in a small scale, so that the entrance width is uniformly calculated irrespective of the land use plan, And there is little deviation. Therefore, this study aims to establish a demand estimation model for the entrance and exit of urban railway stations. For this purpose, the demand, land use area, and socioeconomic indicators for each of the 20 urban railway stations were surveyed at 200m and 500m Regression model. The model is based on the assumption that the dependent variable (response variable) of the model is set to 1 day, peak 1 hour, peak time 5 minutes, Education, and park) and socioeconomic indicators (population, employer, employee, and student) as independent variables (explanatory variables). As a result, it was analyzed that the fit of the model is more statistically significant when the use area of the land use by 500 meters of the center radius of the city rail is used as an independent variable and the demand for the daily use of the railway station is used as a dependent variable. The purpose of this study is to estimate the optimal size of urban railway entrance in order to improve the mobility of the user and the transportation weak in urban railway station.

The university library's service strategy needs to be established based on users, who are actual service consumers, including an outlook on changes in the social environment. Accordingly, in this study, college and graduate students, instructors, and researchers who are university library users were identified to understand users' perceptions of the university library functions and services currently provided, and the demand for services that need to be improved or developed. Data was collected through an online survey, with 1,216 responses from the student group and 433 responses from the researcher group. The survey results were organized by each group, and implications were drawn from common results. First, it was found that both groups had a continuous demand for strengthening the collection and access to information resources. Second, there was a need to expand information provision services, such as strengthening the sharing of information resources through cooperation with other organizations and wishing to use overseas academic materials in various ways. Third, although the library was recognized as an important institution, it was found that satisfactory use was not achieved due to lack of publicity. Fourth, it was found that university libraries recognize that they must provide open services to everyone without discrimination. The results of this study can be used as basic data when establishing strategies to develop and improve university library services optimized for users.

전 세계적으로 다양한 영역에서 빅데이터 활용 성공 사례가 증가하게 되면서 도서관 분야에서도 빅데이터를 활용한 신규 서비스 개발 필요성이 제기 되고 있다. 본 연구는 공공도서관의 정보서비스 제공 및 도서관 운영 실태, 이용자 특성 등을 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 새로운 도서관 패러다임을 이끄는 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 모형을 개발하고자 한다. 먼저, 설문 대상을 사서 집단과 이용자 집단으로 나누어 공공도서관 이용현황을 파악하였고, 대표적인 공공도서관 서비스인 장서개발 및 열람봉사, 이용자 맞춤형 추천서비스에 대한 수요도를 분석하였다. 추가적으로 응답에 대한 집단 간 차이에 대해 살펴보았다. 분석결과를 토대로 관련 서비스 개발을 위한 방향성을 도출하였고, 향후 활용 가능한 도서관 빅데이터 서비스 정립을 위한 기초 방안을 제시하였다.

PDA model is new collection development method not only corresponding user's demand, but also expensing acquisition budget effectively. In the PDA model, when the trigger that indicates user's demand reaches up to treshold, e-book is automatically purchased without librarian's interrogation. This study examines concept, basic principles, and current condition of operation about PDA and finds a way that could applicate to Korean university library foreign E-book consortium. Current model of university library e-book acquisition pursuit reduction of budget and utility value, but the selected collection is not based on user's demand. Therefore, it could be considerable to apply PDA or evidence based purchase model to foreign e-book acquisition consortium.

국내 데이터베이스 산업에 대한 관련 기초자료가 부족하여 체계적이고 효율적인 정책수립 및 시행에 어려움을 겪고 있으므로 이를 보완하기 위하여 한국데이터베이스진흥센터에서는 국내 데이터베이스산업 현황과 이용자들의 요구사항 등 기초자료를 확보하기 위해 "데이터베이스 이용 실태 및 정보수요조사"를 실시한바 있다. 본 조사를 수행함에 있어 다소 부족하고 아쉬운 점이 있지만 관련 업계의 실태, 데이터베이스 이용 실태, 우리 국민들의 정보수요 등 기초자료를 조사함에 따라 보다 체계적인 산업계 및 국민의 실태 분석이 가능하여 정책수립에 도움이 될 것이라 생각된다. 본지에는 정보수요조사부분을 발췌하여 게재한다.
