Evolution of the Orbital Elements for Geosynchronous Orbit of Commmunications Satellite, I. East-Station Keeping (정지통신위성의 궤도에 대한 궤도요소의 진화 I -동서 방향의 궤도 보존-)

  • For a geostationary satellite east-west station keeping maneuvers must control both the mean longitude and the orbit eccentricity simultaneously. The effect on the orbit eccentricity of maneuvers may be reprensented by a phse plane of $e_{c}$ verse $e_{s}$, since these eccentricity elements give the projection of the orbit center onto the equatorial plane in units of the semimajor axis. The evolution of the mean longitude and the orbit eccentricity are obtained.

Analytical Study on Characteristics of von Mises Yield Criterion under Plane Strain Condition (평면변형률상태에서의 von Mises 항복기준의 특성에 관한 이론적 연구)

  • In order to investigate characteristics of the von Mises yield criterion under 2 dimensional stress condition, two cases of plane strain were studied. One of which was for zero elastic strain and the other was for zero plastic strain increment. Yield functions for the plane strain condition for zero elastic strain and for the plane stress condition were represented as ellipse and the two yield functions were compared by ratios of major axis, minor axis and eccentricity and it was seen that the ratio of minor axis was the same between the two cases and the ratios of major axis and eccentricity were functions of Poisson's ratio. Region of elastic behavior obtained from considering plane strain condition of zero elastic strain increases as the Poisson's ratio increases. Yield function for plane strain obtained from considering zero plastic increment and associate flow rule was displayed as straight line and the region of elastic behavior was greater than that for the case of plane stress.

  • 외전형 모터는 내전형 모터에 비해 소형화 및 경량화 시킬 수 있는 특징을 가진다. 그러나 회전자와 고정자간의 공극사이에 이심률이 있을 때, 불균형 모멘트로 인한 토크 리플이 내전형보다 더 크게 일어나는 단점이 있다. 이전의 연구들은 회전자 슬롯 형상의 변화에 따른 모터의 변화를 유한요소해석법을 통해 알아보았다. 우리는 이러한 유한요소해석법을 통한 시뮬레이션을 통해 외전형 모터에서 이심률이 발생 및 증가함에 따라 나타나는 토크 리플을 줄일 수 있는 최적화된 슬롯형태를 찾아보았다.

  • Taxicab geometry was a typical non-Euclid geometry for mathematically gifted. Most educational material related quadratic curves on taxicab geometry for mathematically gifted served them to inquire the graph of the curves defined by focis and constant. In this study, we provide a shape of quadratic curves on taxicab geometry by applying three definitions(geometric algebraic definition, eccentricity definition, conic section definition).

  • High Resolution Range Profile-Jet Engine Modulation imagery first introduced in 2005 carries out radar target recognition by localizing the position of the jet engine installed on the aircraft target. This paper presents a new approach for estimating the jet engine position in the HRRP-JEM image based on the eccentricity of a complex signal. It can effectively evaluate the contribution of the JEM component to the radar received signal in a range bin of the HRRP-JEM image. Therefore, the localization is expected to be performed more quantitatively and reliably by pinpointing the range bin corresponding to the jet engine position where the JEM contribution is maximized. The simulation results of realistic aircraft models validated the effectiveness of the proposed concept.

저추력을 이용한 저궤도 위성의 궤도 유지 위한 해석적 방법

  • 위성이 궤도를 운용함에 있어서 원으로 운용되는 저궤도(LEO)에서는 대기저항(Drag)에 의한 섭동 영향이 가장 크게 미친다. 이 연구에서는 대기저항 섭동에 의해 감소되는 위성의 고도를 전기추력기를 이용하여 고도를 유지할 때 이를 해석적인 측면에 대해 살펴보고 지구 관측 위성에서 많이 쓰이는 태양 동기 궤도(SSO)에 적용하여 궤도를 유지하는 방법에 대해 알아보았다. 태양활동에 의한 대기의 밀도변화를 John kennewell의 모델을 통해 예측하여 대기저항에 의해 감소되는 고도량을 구하고 위성에서 추력(thrust)을 줄 때는 Gaussian Variation of Parameters식을 이용하여 해석적인 방법으로 궤도 장반경의 증가량을 구하였다. 위성에 추력을 줄때 이심률이 증가하게 되는 문제는 구속조건으로 이심률 값의 최대 허용치를 정하여 증가하는 것을 방지하도록 하였다. 또한 $J_2$ 섭동에 의해 가장 영향을 받는 승교점(Ascending Node)과 추력에 의해 변화할 수 있는 근지점(Perigee)을 살펴보고 궤도 유지를 위한 적절한 추력 방향을 구하였다. 각각의 궤도 요소의 변화를 살펴보고 일반적인 태양 동기 궤도 위성의 제원을 이용하여 궤도 유지에 적용하였다. 저궤도 위성의 궤도 유지에 대한 복잡한 수치적인 방법으로 궤도요소의 변화를 정확하게 구하지만 해석적인 방법으로도 위성의 궤도 유지를 위한 정보를 얻을 수 있었다. 이를 저궤도 위성의 궤도 운용과 변화 예측에 적용할 수 있다.

DETERMINATION OF INITIAL CONDITIONS FOR SATELLITE FORMATION ELYING IN ELLIPTICAL ORBITS (타원궤도의 위성편대비행을 위한 초기조건 결정)

  • The initial conditions that generate bounded motion in eccentric reference orbit are determined for satellite formation flying. Because Hill's equations cannot describe the relative motion between two satellites in eccentric orbit, a new relative dynamics utilizing the nonlinearity and eccentricity correction for Hill's initial conditions is implemented. The constraint that matches angular rates of chief and deputy satellites is used to obtain the bounded motion between them. The constraint can be applied to satellite formation motions in eccentric orbit, since it implicates J2 perturbation due to the central body's aspherical gravitational forces. The periodic bounded motions are analyzed for the orbit with the eccentricity of less than 0.05 and about 0.5 km relative distance between chief and deputy satellites. It is mainly illustrated that the satellite formations in small eccentric orbits can have hounded motions; consequently, the formation can be kept by matching angular rates of the satellites. These results demonstrate an useful method that reduces the cost for operating satellites by providing effective initial conditions for satellite formation flying in eccentric orbit.

Comparisons of Middle-, Old-, and Stroked Old-Age Drivers' Reaction Time and Accuracy Based on Multiple Reaction Time Tasks (중다 반응시간 과제에 기반한 중년, 고령 및 뇌졸중 고령 운전자의 반응시간과 반응정확성에서의 차이 비교)

  • Differences in reaction time and accuracy were compared among driver groups of middle-, old-, and stroke old-age drivers using various reaction time tasks including simple reaction task, 2-choice task, 4-choice task with different stimuli eccentricity, search task, and moving target detection task. The results can be summarized as followings. First, although overall reaction time tended to be slowed with age and stroke, stroke old drivers showed significantly slower reaction time than the other driver groups when the stimuli were presented in a large eccentricity. Second, differences in reaction time for 2-choice task and moving target detection task seemed to be determined mainly by participants' simple reaction time. Third, the search task which required temporary retention of previously presented stimuli was found to be more sensitive in discriminating difference in reaction time between middle-age drivers and old-age drivers (including stroke old drivers). Fourth, reaction accuracy of old (and stroke old) drivers decreased when more stimuli alternatives were presented and temporary retention for stimuli was required. Altogether, memory demand in reaction time task can be sensitive to evaluate performance for different age groups, whereas size of useful field of view for brain stroke.

  • It is the eccentricity that determines most of the characteristics of the elliptic gears. Accoding to the theoretical tooth profiles, two pairs of the elliptic gears were manufactured by using CNC wire cutting machine. For harmonious rotating motion, it is necessaryto consider operating pressure angle and module not to generate undercut. The characteristics of vibration were investigated by analyzer.
