Development of an Operation Control System of the Vertical Transferable Korean Personal Rapid Transit (수직이송 서비스가 가능한 한국형 PRT 운행제어시스템 개발)

  • The PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) in material or immaterial guided tracks is operated automatically according to the needs of passengers with the optimal non-stop path from the source to the destination. In recent years, the personal rapid transit (PRT) system, which affords superior accessibility and ease of use, has been spotlighted as a new transport system for the future. In this study, a method for vertical lifting of PRT vehicles was proposed to facilitate interlink with other means of transport and thereby improve the efficiency of door-to-door transport. For this purpose, operation control interfaces were designed and experiments were conducted. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) dedicated for the PRT vertical lift was designed to interface with Operation Control Center (OCC) by Modbus TCP over Ethernet. We implemented a 3D graphical PRT operation simulator which can emulate the mixing operation of the virtual vehicles and the actual vehicles.

Adaptive Feedrate Neuro-Control for High Precision and High Speed Machining (고정밀 고속가공을 위한 신경망 이송속도 적응제어)

  • Finding a technique to achieve high machining precision and high productivity is an important issue for CNC machining. One of the solutions to meet better performance of machining is feedrate control. In this paper we present an adaptive feedrate neuro-control method for high precision and high speed machining. The adaptive neuro-control architecture consists of a neural network identifier(NNI) and an iterative learning control algorithm with inversion of the NNI. The NNI is an identifier for the nonlinear characteristics of feedrate and contour error, which is utilized in iterative learning for adaptive feedrate control with specified contour error tolerance. The proposed neuro-control method has been successfully evaluated for machining circular, corner and involute contours by computer simulations.

  • The continuous chip depresses the accuracy of workpieces and promotes the wear of machine tools and hunts operators. So chip control os a major problem in turning process. In this paper, a method of chip identification is develope by pyrometer. The identifier is applied in real-time control of chip pattern with adjusting feedrate.

  • Static variations of cutting forces are estimated using spindle motor current. Static sensitivity of spindle motor current is higher than feed motor current. The linear relationship between the cutting force and RMS value of the spindle motor current is obtained. Using cutting force estimation, tool overload in milling process can be well detected, and cutting force is regulated at a constant level by feedrate adaptive control.

  • This paper suggests the establishment of high-accuracy and high-efficiency machining method of scroll shape workpiece by using the feed control method. The cutting paths for machining the inside and outside surfaces of the scroll-shape workpiece are calculated, and the calculation method of the cutting chip areas based on the coordinate of the base circle is shown. A feed control method is proposed for a constant cutting area and cutting force. By machining test of scroll shape workpiece, The machined accuracy of wrap, tool wear, and surface roughness are evaluated. By this method, Reduction of the machining time and large increase of the efficiency can be expected.

  • A research on the AFC(Auto Feedrate Control) by a fuzzy controller using a tool dynamometer and motor currents was conducted. For simulations, cutting dynamics of end-milling process was modeled by geometric relationship between tool and work-piece. The fuzzy logic controller was employed to track the desired cutting force and showed good performance in simulations and several experiments. The spindle motor currents was modeled to estimate cutting force and successfully used for the AFC.

  • 일반적으로 리니어 구동기나 회전하는 모터를 이용하여 적은 힘으로 증량의 물체를 이송하는 시스템이 개발되어 현자에서 사용되고 있다. 그러나 공기압이나 유압을 사용하는 리니어 구동기나, 회전하는 모터를 사용하기 때문에 Backlash를 비롯한 비선형성이 크기 때문에 성능의 한계를 갖는다. 본 논문은 동기형 리니어 모터를 구동하는 DSP 기반의 힘 제어기를 설계, 제작하고 힘제어를 이용하여 이송하는 시스템을 개발하고 시험한 내용을 보여준다.

  • LMTT(Linear Motor-based Transfer Technology) 시스템은 항만 컨테이너 이송장치의 자동화 시템으로 기술적 포화상태에 이른 AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)의 대체 수단으로 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 PMLSM (Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor)을 기본 구조로 한 LMTT에서 발생할 수 있는 레일과 차체간의 인척력 변화와 다양한 부하 중량에 대한 시스템 내부 변수의 변동에 적응할 수 있는 제어기 설계에 초점을 두었다. 그렇게 됨으로써 제어시 큰 방해요소로 작용하는 마찰력에 의한 백래쉬 및 데드존을 최소화하여 속응성 및 정밀도를 향상시키고자 하였다.
