In particular, this study aims to identify the type of entrepreneurial opportunities for laboratory start-ups, which have recently been gaining policy level attention. If the type of entrepreneurial opportunities for laboratory start-ups is identified as discriminative, appropriate start-up support policies and training programs can be established. For this study, eight major papers were identified among the papers of last 30 years related to the types of entrepreneurial opportunities. After, the classification attributes for each opportunity type were derived. Then, the existing theories of recognition, discovery and creative opportunities were organized, critically reviewed and reorganized. In addition, the substance of laboratory start-ups was verified according to the standardized classification attributes of the revised and reorganized opportunity types and newly classified as 'creative opportunity'. This study also presents networking capabilities and market orientation as examples of the capabilities needed for entrepreneurs of creative opportunity type. The implication of this study is that it makes it easy to discriminate ontological typology of entrepreneurial opportunity, derives important classification attributes, and that it organizes them conceptually. • This paper aims to discuss and develop theories of social sustainability as an alternative of urban development, recognizing that urban development paradigm needs to turn to the qualitative perspective. Urban development in Korea has mainly focused on quantitative expansion disregarding qualitative development so far. Korean cities has achieved the quantitative accumulation of wealth due to the strategy. However, as a result, it is also certain that socio-economic problems such as urban poverty, social polarization, deterioration of welfare and quality of life are getting more serious. In the context that social sustainability meets social needs of urban residents based on equity and focuses on social development, it has an important meaning in relation of social and economic problems such as inequality and distribution of urban development. Furthermore, social sustainablity can foster urban residents' endogenous capability and governances. The importance of social sustainablity has been standed out and its concept and practical problems have been discussed diversely among researchers in the Western advanced countries for the last decade. However, social sustainability is still unattractive and its institutional strategy are insufficient in Korea. Concepts and practical problems of social sustainability have implications on the development path of Korean cities which have been accumulated contradiction due to the quantitative development for a long time.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of a socio-critical modelling class on students' perception of the role of socially critical mathematics. Mathematics education involves cultivating the ability to understand and respond to the mathematics we use in our daily lives. Many elementary school students in Korea have doubts about why they need to learn mathematics, and in international assessments such as PISA and TIMSS, Korean students' affective dimensions are shown to be very negative. Researchers believed that a socio-critical modelling class would have an impact on students' perceptions and attitudes toward mathematics, and conducted a socio-critical modelling class for 20 sixth-grade elementary school students. Data collection and analysis were conducted inductively through students' words and actions during class, activity sheets, and interviews, based on the grounded theory of Strauss & Corbin (2014). As a result of the study, the socio-critical modelling class increased students' social critical awareness and made them re-aware of the role of mathematics.

The data for this study were collected from a survey of 68 export experts in Automotive Parts enterprises. Data were analyzed using AHP. As a result of the analysis, the order of importance appeared in the order of internal capacity, correlation buyer effect, entry barriers, technology response, and competition environment. The regions with a high overseas level were product differentiation, centralization, and low cost, whereas those with a low level were in the order of low cost, product differentiation, and concentration. It is meaningful to review the alternatives for adoption of the export diversification strategy and establish a strategy appropriate to the situation. It is necessary to establish a customized strategy considering the characteristics of the global region, and not only internal competence but also mutual relationship with local buyers are important.

  • The Autonomous ships are equipped with a function to judge and navigate the sea conditions on their own, so the job of the ship officer who operates it changes. The educational curriculum to nurture ship officer with the ability to operate and manage autonomous ships must also be changed. This study aimed to develop the curriculum for training autonomous ship officer by using the Delphi survey method suitable for predicting the uncertain future. Among the current 61 subjects for training ship officer identified in the Delphi survey, 32 subjects with high importance should be maintained in the training for autonomous ship officer, and subjects with low importance should be abolished or integrated into other subjects. These subjects were collectively referred to as 'general courses'. The expert panel of the Delphi survey suggested 42 items as new subjects, with 18 items of 'high', 14 items of 'middle', and 10 items of 'low'. Through in-depth analysis of these items by experts, 27 subjects were adjusted and three courses were proposed : 1)'Basic course(10 courses)' for developing basic capabilities such as basic theories for understanding advanced technology and information applied to autonomous ships, 2)'Job course(10 courses)' for practical competency directly related to autonomous ship operation, 3)'Intensive course(7 subjects)' for fostering land remote operators of autonomous ships. Since the introduction and spread of autonomous ships will progress rapidly, research to develop and supplement autonomous ship pilot training courses should be continued by reflecting the level of autonomous navigation of autonomous ships.
