The study of train separation control using movement authority (이동권한을 이용한 열차간격제어에 대한 연구)

  • 현재 세계적인 열차제어의 추세는 궤도회로에 의한 고정폐색방식을 이용한 열차 운행이 아닌 발리스 또는 무선통신에 의한 이동권한을 이용한 열차제어방식을 적용하고 있으며, 국내에서도 이에 맞추어 철도청에서는 ATP 사업을 통하여 발리스에 의한 이동권한을 이용한 열차제어시스템을 적용하고 있다. 또한 분당선에서는 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템인 CBTC 시스템을 시범구축하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 이동권한을 이용한 열차간격제어에 대해 연구한 결과를 설명하고 있다.

Real-Time Place Recognition for Augmented Mobile Information Systems (이동형 정보 증강 시스템을 위한 실시간 장소 인식)

  • Place recognition is necessary for a mobile user to be provided with place-dependent information. This paper proposes real-time video based place recognition system that identifies users' current place while moving in the building. As for the feature extraction of a scene, there have been existing methods based on global feature analysis that has drawback of sensitive-ness for the case of partial occlusion and noises. There have also been local feature based methods that usually attempted object recognition which seemed hard to be applied in real-time system because of high computational cost. On the other hand, researches using statistical methods such as HMM(hidden Markov models) or bayesian networks have been used to derive place recognition result from the feature data. The former is, however, not practical because it requires huge amounts of efforts to gather the training data while the latter usually depends on object recognition only. This paper proposes a combined approach of global and local feature analysis for feature extraction to complement both approaches' drawbacks. The proposed method is applied to a mobile information system and shows real-time performance with competitive recognition result.

  • The mobile communication based train control is the train control system by utilizing wireless communication rather than conventional wired communication. Traditional train control operates train occupation, safety integrity and moving authority using fixed block wired railway signal system. Since introduction of mobile communication in railway area, railway operators can provide improved passager services. Futhermore, it can replace inefficient train onboard equipments and railway ground facilities for economic benefits. In this paper we introduce mobile communication based railway system currently in operation around the world. Moreover, we provide the minimum requirements of the radio communication performance. Proposed minimum requirements of the radio communication improve more secure and efficient mobile communication based train control system.

  • In this study, the permeability reduction in the soil-filter systems due to clogging phenomenon was evaluated. An extensive research program was performed using two typical weathered residual soils which were sampled at Shinnae-dong and Poi-dong area in Seoul. Two separate simulation tests with weathered residual soil were performed: one was the filtration test(cross-plane flow test); and the other was the drainage material in the field. The compatibility of the sol-filter system was investigated with emphasis on the clogging phenomenon. The hydraulic behaviour of the soil-filter system was evaluated by changing several testing conditions. Also, experimental results of the permeability reduction are compared with the results obtained from the theoretical model which can monitor the spatial variation of the permeability with time.

  • This paper proposes a simulation method of train control system to increase railroad transportation capacity in the Seoul Subway. Comparing with the conventional fixed block system, a new train operation method of "moving block system" shows a more capability of same railroad. A graphic simulation program is developed for application of moving block system to Seoul subway train control system. The result of the simulation program shows a shorten headway i.e. a more dense operation of trains and a higher efficiency of railroad with the suggested moving block system.

  • In this thesis, an object tracking method based on the active feature model and the optical flow in stereo images is proposed. We acquired the translation information of object of interest and the features of object by utilizing the geometric information and depth of stereo images. Tracking performance is improved for the occlude object with this information by predicting the movement information of features of the occlude object. Rigid and non-rigid objects are experimented. From the result of experiment, the OOI can be real-time tracked from complicate back ground. Besides, we got the improved result of object tracking in any occlusion state, no matter what it is rigid or non-rigid object.

  • In this paper, we propose Modified Multi CAMShift Algorithm(Modified Multi Continuously Adaptive Mean Shift Algorithm) that extracts skin color area and tracks several human body parts for real-time human tracking system. Skin color area is extracted by filtering input image in predefined RGB value range. These areas are initial search windows of hands and face for tracking. Gaussian background model prevents search window expending because it restricts skin color area. Also when occluding between these areas, we give more weights in occlusion area and move mass center of target area in color probability distribution image. As result, the proposed algorithm performs better than the original CAMShift approach in multiple object tracking and even when occluding of objects with similar colors.

A Study on the Mixed Usage of Logical Block and Moving Block in CBTC System (CBTC 시스템에서 논리 폐색과 이동 폐색의 혼용에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a CBTC wayside signaling system, which redeems existing track-circuit-based ones by using movement authorities mixed with logical block and moving block. Only one train can be entered into the logical block or the route for existing wayside signaling system. Applying moving block for CBTC system enables the train to get nearer to the preceding one, because its protection mechanism uses train's safe boundary, not fixed block unit. By narrowing the existing route set to switch machine and applying the moving block beyond that area, more than one train can enter into one route area. This paper shows that the efficient train control, i.e. shortening the headway, is possible using the moving block mixed with logical block in wayside signaling system.

  • 본 논문은 지하수 흐름하에서의 풍화 잔류토의 세립자 유동특성을 파악하기 위한 수치모델을 개발하고, 실내에서 실시한 수리 모형실험을 통하여 수치모델의 적합성을 규명하였다. 한국의 풍화 잔류토는 점토와 모래의 중간 상태의 특성을 보이는 관계로 기존의 토립자 유동모델중 점토 또는 모래에 적합한 모델에 의해서는 정확한 유동특성의 파악에 한계가 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 한국의 풍화 잔류토에 적합한 세립자 유동모델을 제시함으로써 풍화 잔류토를 대상으로 시공되는 굴토공사, 댐 축조공사, 그리고 터널공사시 지하수 유입에 따른 세립토사의 유실특성을 이론적으로 규명하였고, 현장에서 배수재로 광범위하게 쓰이고 있는 토목섬유인 부직포의 투수 및 배수특성을 검토하였다
