Performance of Unified Inter-Cell Interference Avoidance and Cancellation in OFDM Mobile Cellular Systems (OFDM 이동 셀룰러 시스템에서 셀간간섭 회피 및 제거의 결합 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we explain the unified inter-cell interference avoidance and cancellation in OFDM mobile cellular systems. Interference avoidance is used for cell-interior or two-cell-edge users, and interference cancellation is applied to three-cell-edge users. The performance of the unified scheme is evaluated by simplified system simulation. Link simulation results are used in the interpretation of system simulation output. We compare three schemes which are "no interference management," "only interference avoidance," "both avoidance and cancellation." Primary performance measures are the data rate of the 5th percentile user and the mean data rate. Simulation results show that interference management schemes greatly improve the cell edge performance, but slightly reduce the mean data rate. Use of both avoidance and cancelaltion is better than that of only avoidance in terms of the cell edge throughput and the mean data rate.

  • Lax-Wendroff 기법을 기반의 천수방정식에 대한 유한요소 모형을 낙동강 상류부 단호교 지역에 적용하였다. 모형의 검증을 위하여 이동경계에 대한 Thacker (1981)의 정확해와 침수-노출 기법(wet-dry scheme)을 이용한 본 모형의 수치해를 비교하여 대체로 잘 일치함을 알게 되었다. 또한, U자형 만곡부를 포함한 수로의 흐름에 적용하여, 기존의 수리실험 결과, 수치모의 결과와 비교하고, 모형의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 낙동강 상류지역에 위치한 단호교 지역에 본 모형을 적용하고, 이를 기존 유한차분법에 의한 수치해와 비교하였다.

  • 천수방정식에 대한 Lax-Wendroff 기법을 기반으로 한 유한요소 모형을 낙동강 상류부 단호교 지역에 적용하였다. 모형의 검증을 위하여 이동경계에 대한 Thacker (1981)의 정확해와 젖음-마름 기법(wet-dry scheme)을 이용한 본 모형의 수치해를 비교하여 대체로 잘 일치함을 알게 되었다. 또한, U자형 만곡부를 포함한 수로의 흐름에 적용하여, 기존의 수리실험 결과, 수치모의 결과와 비교하고, 모형의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 낙동강 상류지역에 위치한 단호교지역에 본 모형을 적용하고, 이를 기존 유한차분법에 의한 수치해와 비교하였다.

  • 평행한 벽 내부의 흐르는 규제 속에 원형실린더를 놓고 운동장 해석을 수행하였다. 비압축성 Navier- Stokes 방정식을 풀었고 3차 풍상미분의 수치해법을 이용하였다. 채널 내부에서 실린더의 위치를 이동하면서 벽면의 효과 전단력, 와류의 현장을 규명하였다. 수치처리는 Marker & Cell 기법에 의한 유한차분법을 사용하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 실린더와 벽 경계 사이에서의 생성된 와가 박리 전단에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Numerical Modeling of Seawater Intrusion in Coastal Aquifer (연안 대수층에서 해수침투 축성 해석)

  • Coastal aquifers may serve as major sources fur freshwater. In many coastal aquifers, intrusion of seawater has become one of the major constraints imposed on groundwater utilization. The management of groundwater in coastal acquifers means making decision as to the pumping rate and the spatial distribution of wells. Several numerical techniques for flow and solute transport simulation can provide the means to achieve this goal. As a basic study to predict the intrusion of seawater in coastal phreatic aquifers, the coupled flow and solute transport analysis was conducted by use of the 3-D finite element code, SWICHA. In order to understand how the location and the shape of freshwater-seawater transition zone were affected by the boundary conditions and hydrogeologic variables, parametric study was carried out.

  • It is a document segmentation to set a boundary in the documents by the contents. It is essential for the accurate and efficient information search. In this paper we want to make an automatic document segmentation system with the method of probability analysis which uses the mutual information between the words. Proposed system can move the boundary of window and compute the similarity or the two window. In this system the more words are shared and the more important the words are, the higher the cohesive force of the two window systems goes. The result of experience with the document segmentation is that despite the differences of block unit the division point at which we expected to divide was normally divided.

  • To optimize the ventilation and smoke control systems in subway equipped with platform screen door, the technology to analyze the unsteady tunnel flow caused by running of train should be developed. The development of model experiment and numerical analysis technique with relation to unsteady flow of subway were presented. The pressure and air velocity changes in 1/20-scaling experiment unit were measured and results were comparied to those of 3-D unsteady numerical analysis applied with sharp interface method. The experimental and numerical results were quantitatively similar and it would be reasonable to apply sharp interface method to analyze the unsteady flow in subway equipped with platform screen door.

  • 하천의 2차원 흐름, 유사이동 그리고, 오염 확산의 정도를 알아보기 위해 유한 요소법을 이용한 해석 방법이 널리 사용되고 있다. 유한 요소법을 이용할 때 유한 요소망 생성이 필수적이며, 해석 결과에 크게 영향을 주는 변수로 작용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 복잡한 경계를 가진 하천의 유한 요소망 생성을 위해 대표적인 비구조적 요소망 생성 기법인 Delaunay 삼각화 기법과 흐름의 특성을 잘 나타낼 수 있도록 Transfinite 보간법을 이용한 구조적 요소망 생성 기법을 구현하였다. 그리고, 본 연구에 의해 생성된 유한 요소망의 형질 평가를 통해서 해석 결과에 대한 신뢰성을 높였으며, 요소망 생성 GUI 프로그램을 통하여 요소망에 대한 1차식의 요소와 2차식의 요소간의 변환, 되돌리기, 다시 실행 등의 기능을 지원하여 사용의 편리성을 추가하였다.

  • Although Mobile IP proposed in IETF is effective. it has inefficiency in case mobile hosts communicate with each others while they are roaming frequently in a specific area. It occurs lots of latency because mobile hosts must be registered and establish an secure path under the internet emvironments and transmitting data on the path. Additionally this inefficiency is more aggravated in case mobile hosts has high mobility. Thus this paper propose a method using Anchor foreign agent by Anchor chain method which combine an pointer forwarding and a cache method plus a border router as a way to complement the above problem which exists in an mobility management in a specific area.

An Adaptive Signal Transmission/Reception Scheme for Spectral Efficiency Improvement of Multiple Antenna Systems in Cellular Environments (셀룰러 환경에서 다중 안테나 시스템의 전송 효율 증대를 위한 적응적 송수신 방안)

  • Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques can be used for the spectral efficiency enhancement of the cellular systems, which can be categorized into spatial multiplexing (SM) and spatial diversity schemes. MIMO systems suffer a severe performance degradation due to the intercell interference from the adjacent cells as the mobile terminal moves toward the cell boundary. Therefore for the spectral efficiency enhancement, an appropriate transmission scheme for the given channel environment and reception scheme which can mitigate the intercell interference are required. In this paper, we propose an adaptive signal transmission/reception scheme for the spectral efficiency improvement of $M_R{\times}M_T$ MIMO systems, present the decision criteria for the adaptive operation of the proposed scheme, and demonstrate the performance gain. The proposed scheme performs adaptive transmission using spatial multiplexing and spatial diversity, and adaptive reception using maximal ratio combining (MRC) and intercell spatial demultiplexing (ISD) when the spatial diversity transmission is used at the transmitter. Spatial multiplexing/demultiplexing is performed at the high signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) range, and the transmit diversity in conjunction with the adaptive reception uses either conventional MRC or ISD which can mitigate the $M_R-1$ interference signals, based on the mobile location. For the performance evaluation of the proposed adaptive scheme, the probability density function (pdf) of the effective SIR for the transmission/reception methods in consideration are derived for $M_R{\times}M_T$ MIMO systems. Using the results, the average effective SIR and spectral efficiency are presented and compared with simulation results.
