소비자의 가격태도와 위험지각에 따른 의류할인점 선택행동에 관한 연구 (The Study of Consumer's Clothing Discount Store Selection Behavior by Their Price Attitude and Risk Perception)

  • The purpose of this study is examine how price attitude and risk perception affect6 consumer's attitude to clothing discount stores. As for the methods of the research 313 female consumers who just finished shopping at discount stores were interviewed and questioned. The result is as the following. 1. The factors such as discount price inclination effective value inclination price-quality association and price-social grade association in the price attitude as well as social psychological risk and the risk of losing opportunity in the risk perception affected consumer's attitude to clothing discount store. 2. The domestic national brand discount store acquired the highest scores in all factors but discount inclination factor and low price inclination factor. No difference was seen between stores in terms of the risk perception. 3. The determining factors for repurchase intention were found to be store satisfaction and the attitude to clothing discount store. 4. The convenience of transportation the availability of exchange or repair the payment option the quality of the product and the attributes of the store e, g, good quality with relatively low price affected the store satisfaction. 5. Domestic national brand discount store showed higher score in 'good quality with relatively low price' than domestic casual brand discount store did. And difference between groups was found in repurchase intention, Conclusively most consumers using clothing discount stores are effective value-oriented.

대형 할인점 의류 PB선호도에 미치는 영향 요인 연구 (A Study on the Factors Influencing Clothing PB(Private Brand) Preference of the Large-scale Discount Stores)

  • This study examined the factors(intrinsic cues, extrinsic cues, private brands familarity, store loyalty) influencing clothing PB preference of large-scale discount stores, and investigated the differences according to the consumer's decision types. Questionaries were collected from 316 female customers in front of the discount stores and the data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 using T-test, correlation, regression analysis and cluster analysis. The results were as follows. First of all, According to the correlation and regression analysis, the private brand preference were influenced by store loyalty and PB familiarity. Secondly, Differences are found according to the consumer's decision types. That is the price-conscions consumers regard store loyalty, PB familiarity, extrinsic cues, and PB preference more importantly than the value-conscious consumers.

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to test the differences between two groups who have high and low purchase of apparel in low-price retailing concerning consumers' beliefs and attitude toward low-prce retailing 2) to identify differences between these two groups in type of information search and use of information sources and 3) to investigate differences between department store and low-price retailing in consumers' satisfaction toward products and purchase frequencies of apparel items and differences between two groups in demographic variables. The data were collected via a self-administeered questionnaire from 474 femail adults in Seoul Korea and analyzed by factor analysis t-test and paired t-test. The results of this study were as follows : First based on a series of t-test and paired t-test. the results showed that those who had a high purchase of apparel in low-price retailing had significantly higher belief scores on all of the five store attributes and a more favorable attitude toward low-price retailing than did those who had low purchase. Second those who had high purchase of apparel in low-price retailing had significantly higher scores on ongoing and prepurchase information search and on use of mass media information and interpersonal information source than did those who had low purchase. Third in case of high purchase consumers of apparel in low-price retailing there were not found significant differences between department store and low-price retailing there were not found significant differences between department store and low-price retailing in purchase frequency on man's and women's casual wear of department stores than low-price retailing. However low purchase consumers of apparel in low-price retailing revealed significantly higher purchase frequency on all of seven apparel items of department stores than low-price retailing. Finally there were significant differences between two groups in demographic variables. The papers discussed theoretical implications as well as manageral implications.

  • 농촌 지역사회의 지속적인 성장과 활성화는 지역경제에 의해 좌우되고, 마찬가지로 지역주민들의 생필품 공급은 지역소매업자들에게 의해 이루어진다. 이러한 현실에서, 농촌지역의 영세소매업자에 대해 관심을 가지고 이들을 연구하는 것은 지역공동체의 지속적인 성장에 중요할 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 대규모의 할인점들과의 경쟁에 직면하고 있는 미국 농촌 지역의 영세소매업자들(의류, 보석, 꽃, 철물 등)중에서 대규모의 할인점들과의 치열한 경쟁에 성공을 거둔 영세소매업자들이 어떠한 마케팅, 머천다이징, 고객서비스, 경영전략을 실시하고 있는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 또한, 영세소매업자들의 성공을 가능케 한 사업전략으로 사회적 자본인 지역사회참여가 어떻게 사용되고 있는지도 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 미국 중서부 지역의 세 도시를 대표하는 27명의 농촌소매업자들과의 인터뷰 및 내용분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 이들은 몇 가지 효과적인 경영전략들을 실시하고 있지만, 아직도 미흡한 부분들이 있었다. 결과부분에서는 이들이 사용하고 있는 주요 경영관행들에 대해 논의하였다.

할인점의 의류PB 상품전략에 관한 연구 (A Research on Private apparel Brand's Product Strategy in Discounted Stores.)

  • 외환위기 이후 급격한 출점과 성장을 해온 대형마트 점포수가 이미 포화상태에 이르렀다는 우려의 목소리도 있지만 신규 출점은 계속적으로 지속될 전망이고 향후 대형마트 성장세는 둔화되나 점포수 등 외형적 성장은 계속되는 가운데 상품 차별화 추구, 고객니즈부응, 고마진획득 등이 지속적으로 가능해져 PB상품 개발이 불황 국면 극복을 위한 저성장 시대의 마케팅 전략의 하나로 자리 잡을 것으로 전망 된다. 또한 국내 3대 대형마트가 의류PB 브랜드를 계속적으로 출시, 확장하고 있는 상황과 운영전략에 대해 연구하고 이를 바탕으로 국내 대형마트의 PB의 성공사례와 문제점을 도출하여 PB의 필요성에 대해 차별화와 고이익 창출을 위한 성공적 전략 방안을 논의 하고자 한다. 본 연구는 대형 마트 PB의 개념과 전략 방안 및 성공사례와 전망을 살펴보고, 현재 전 세계적으로 빠른 성장을 보이는 PB를 단순히 유통업체가 상품을 유통시키면 된다는 제한된 역할 수행에서 벗어나, 제조업체가 지닌 유통 채널에 대한 지배력을 얻을 수 있다는 것을 의미 확장하여 설명하고자 한다. 이미 세계 주요 선진유통업체들은 자사의 상품차별화와 수익성향상을 위해 PB상품 개발에 많은 노력을 쏟고 있으며, 이를 통해 다국적전략 및 외형적 확장, 더불어 높은 재무성과를 창출하고 있는 좋은 사례는 쉽게 접할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 할인점의 포화에 따른 새로운 대안을 위해서는 차별화된 PB운영 전략이 필요함을 국내3개 주요할인점 사례를 통해 제시하였다. 특히 의류 PB상품은 철저한 시장분석과 디자인트렌드 및 고객니즈를 반영한 상품개발로 차별화된 상품력 및 고마진 획득을 통해 출점 정체된 대형마트 지속성장에 새로운 돌파구를 마련하는 좋은 계기를 줄 수 있는 시사점을 제공하여 할인점 출점 한계에 따른 새로운 상품전략 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 할인점 주요 3개사의 경영실적과 세계 몇 개국의 대표적인 PB성공사례를 중심으로 연구하여 국내 전체 소매 산업에 일반화하기에는 다소 무리가 있다. 향후에는 국내에 입점된 다국적 SPA 브랜드와 국내 할인점 PB를 중심으로 비교분석하여 가치를 극대화한 의류PB 확대전략에 대한 추가연구가 필요하다.

비교가격 광고의 준거가격과 소매점의 가격할인취지 및 소비자의 가격 -품질 연상 심리 수준이 의류제품 속성 평가에 미치는 영향- (Retail Sale Advertising: Effects of Reference Price, Price Rationale and Price-Quality Inference on Evaluation of Apparel Attributes)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 준거가격, 가격할인취지 및 가격-품질 연상 심리 수준이 가격할인 광고 의류제품의 속성 평가에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 연구설계는 준거가격(제시, 미제시)$\times$가격할인취지(미제시, 재고처분, 판매촉진)$\times$가격-품질 연상 심리 수준(높은 집단, 낮은 집단)에 의한 피험자간 3원 요인설계에 의하였다. 조사대상자는 여자 대학생들로, 준거가격과 가격할인취지가 다르게 조작된 6개 자극물들 중의 1개 자극물에 노출 되어 광고된 의류제품의 속성들을 평가하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 의류제품의 봉제 및 직물과 라벨 속성 평가에는 준거가격 제시 유무, 가격할인취지, 가격-품질연상 심리 수준이 상호작용 하여 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 봉제 및 직물 속성과 라벨 속성 평가에 대한 준거가격 제시효과는 가격-품질연상이 낮은 집단에서는 가격할인취지가 제시되지 않았을 때 나타났으며, 가격-품질연상이 높은 집단 에서는 가격할인취지가 재고처분으로 제시되었을 때 나타났다. 셋째, 자켓 의류제품의 제작 속성 평가에 대한 준거가격 제시 유무, 가격할인취지, 가격-품질 연상 심리 수준의 상호작용 효과는 비유의적이었으며, 가격-품질 연상 심리 특성의 주효과만 발견되었다.

대형할인점 의류매장의 서비스품질, 가격과 품질지각, 및 점포이미지가 점포애호도에 미치는 영향 (A Study of the Service Quality, Perceived Price and Product Quality, and Store Image on Store Loyalty)

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the impacts of service quality, product quality, and perceived price on store loyalty of the clothes shops at a large-scale discount store. The subjects were 357 female adults living in Suncheon City, Jeollanam Province. The questionnaires were conveniently sampled from June 1 to 30, 2006. The collected data were factor and reliability analyzed using the SPSS program. And Regression was used to verified the relationships between the constructs. Among the five hypotheses set in the research model, total four were selected through empirical analysis and the rest one were rejected. The empirical results showed the following managerial implications. First, consumer' perceived service quality has a positive relationship with store image and store loyalty. Second, product quality has a positive relationship with store image. Third, store image has positively related with store loyalty. Fourth, perceived price has not significantly related with store loyalty. Finally, store image in large-scale discount store is 'sales people', 'VMD/atmosphere', and 'assortment' on forming the store image. Especially, 'assortment', 'oust and friendship', and 'symbol' have significantly related with store loyalty.

대형할인점 의류매장의 점포애호도에 대한 서비스 품질과 전환장벽 및 고객만족 영향력에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study of the Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Switching Barrier on Store Loyalty)

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the impacts of service quality, customer satisfaction, and switching burier on store loyalty of the clothes shops at large-scale discount stores. Fourth, switch barrier has positively related with store loyalty. Finally, 'sales people', 'VMD/atmosphere', and 'assortment' of the service quality factors have positive relationships with store loyalty, but 'policy' has a negative relationship with store loyalty.

소비자 구매의도에 근거한 백화점과 대형 할인점의 경쟁 구조 (Competitive Structure between Department Store and Discount Store based on Consumers' Purchase Intention)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate competitive structure between the department store and the discount store based on consumers' purchase intention. Female consumers who purchased clothing both in the department store and the discount store participated in the study by completing questionnaires (N=533) . Data were analyzed using factor analyses, paired t-test, Cronbach's $\alpha$, and chi-square analyses. The result was as following: 1 . Overall, the department store and the discount store are competing complementarily. However, this competitive structure varied with clothing items and consumers' age. 2. As a result of factor analyses, the two retailer's service quality could be evaluated with four dimensions: price and A/S, store atmosphere and VMD, store policy, and salesperson. 3. The department store was expected to provide the highest level of service in ‘price and A/S’, ‘store atmosphere and VMD’, ‘salesperson’ whereas the discount store in ‘store policy’ 4. Respondents were classified in four groups according to how frequently they use department store and discount store as following: shopper of both retailers (68.35%), discount store shopper(20.97%), department store shopper(4.70%), shopper of neither retailer(3.97%). Each group showed differences in service satisfaction and demographic characteristics.

상표유형이 유통업체 의류상표에 더한 소비자 태도에 미치는 영향 -할인점 점포상표와 홈쇼핑 프리미엄상표의 비교- (The Influence of Brand Type on Consumer Attitude Formation of Private Apparel Brand -A Comparison between Discount Store PB and Home-shopping Premium PB-)

  • As PB market segments into premium market, PBs were drawing attentions in terms of creating profits as well as a means to differentiate building up store identity. The purpose of this study makes a comparative study on the difference of consumer attitude formation process in discount store and home-shopping distribution channel which are recently on the upswing. This paper investigated the consumer's attitude formation on the private apparel brand. Subjects of this study were consumers in their $20s{\sim}40s$ who are main customer groups of PBs. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling and Multi-Group Analysis of Amos 5.0 to verify the difference of the path between store PB and premium PB. Following are the results of the study. Consumer attitude formation path on PB grades showed statistically noticeable difference. In discount store PB, store evaluation didn't directly influence on consumer attitude formation but showed indirect effect. On the other hand, in home shopping premium PB case, product evaluation directly influenced on consumer attitudes with store evaluation. Hedonic attitude dimension connected with behavioral attitude(purchase intention) revealed difference in path. Also consumer's evaluation on variables in model turned out to be different according to brand grade.
