In particular, as a radiomics research is being actively conducted, the prediction model is developed based on the traditional statistical model, as well as machine learning, to account for the high-dimensional data. In this review, we investigated the statistical and machine learning methods used in clinical prediction model research, and briefly summarized each analytical method for statistical model, machine learning, and statistical learning. Finally, we discussed several considerations for choosing the prediction modeling method.
This study explores the barriers to using health and medical data in research and development (R&D) within the healthcare industry and suggests ways to enhance data utilization. As artificial intelligence technology drives transformative changes across industries, there is an increased demand for robust health and medical data, highlighting its critical economic value and utility in fostering innovation. Using qualitative analysis through Grounded Theory, the study involves ten R&D professionals from healthcare industry, including both medical centers and corporations, using surveys and in-depth interviews to gather diverse experiences and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in health and medical data use. Key findings point to legislative, regulatory, and data quality and integration issues, as well as complexities in patient data access and usage. Technological limitations and inadequate data governance frameworks also emerge as significant obstacles. Recommendations focus on improving regulatory frameworks, enhancing data standardization and quality, and fostering stronger partnerships between data custodians and users. The study concludes that overcoming these obstacles requires a comprehensive strategy involving legislative changes, improved technological infrastructure, and increased stakeholder collaboration. Implementing these recommendations could greatly enhance health and medical data utilization in R&D, significantly advancing medical science and patient care services.
With the development of the 4th industrial, research is being conducted to prevent diseases and reduce damage in various fields of science and technology such as medicine, health, and bio. As a result, artificial intelligence technology has been introduced and researched for image analysis of radiological examinations. In this paper, we will directly apply a deep learning model for classification and detection of pneumonia using chest X-ray images, and evaluate whether the deep learning model of the Inception series is a useful model for detecting pneumonia. As the experimental material, a chest X-ray image data set provided and shared free of charge by Kaggle was used, and out of the total 3,470 chest X-ray image data, it was classified into 1,870 training data sets, 1,100 validation data sets, and 500 test data sets. I did. As a result of the experiment, the result of metric evaluation of the Inception V3 deep learning model was 94.80% for accuracy, 97.24% for precision, 94.00% for recall, and 95.59 for F1 score. In addition, the accuracy of the final epoch for Inception V3 deep learning modeling was 94.91% for learning modeling and 89.68% for verification modeling for pneumonia detection and classification of chest X-ray images. For the evaluation of the loss function value, the learning modeling was 1.127% and the validation modeling was 4.603%. As a result, it was evaluated that the Inception V3 deep learning model is a very excellent deep learning model in extracting and classifying features of chest image data, and its learning state is also very good. As a result of matrix accuracy evaluation for test modeling, the accuracy of 96% for normal chest X-ray image data and 97% for pneumonia chest X-ray image data was proven. The deep learning model of the Inception series is considered to be a useful deep learning model for classification of chest diseases, and it is expected that it can also play an auxiliary role of human resources, so it is considered that it will be a solution to the problem of insufficient medical personnel. In the future, this study is expected to be presented as basic data for similar studies in the case of similar studies on the diagnosis of pneumonia using deep learning.
In this paper, I proposed a classifier of liver cirrhotic step using T1-weighted MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) and hierarchical neural network. The data sets for classification of each stage, which were normal, 1type, 2type and 3type, were obtained in Pusan National University Hospital from June 2001 to december 2001. And the number of data was 46. We extracted liver region and nodule region from T1-weighted MR liver image. Then objective interpretation classifier of liver cirrhotic steps in T1-weighted MR liver images. Liver cirrhosis classifier implemented using hierarchical neural network which gray-level analysis and texture feature descriptors to distinguish normal liver and 3 types of liver cirrhosis. Then proposed Neural network classifier teamed through error back-propagation algorithm. A classifying result shows that recognition rate of normal is 100%, 1type is 82.3%, 2type is 86.7%, 3type is 83.7%. The recognition ratio very high, when compared between the result of obtained quantified data to that of doctors decision data and neural network classifier value. If enough data is offered and other parameter is considered, this paper according to we expected that neural network as well as human experts and could be useful as clinical decision support tool for liver cirrhosis patients.

The number of elderly people with dementia is increasing as fast as the proportion of older people due to aging, which creates a social and economic burden. In particular, dementia care costs, including indirect costs such as increased care costs due to lost caregiver hours and caregivers, have grown exponentially over the years. In order to reduce these costs, it is urgent to introduce a management system to care for dementia patients. Therefore, this study proposes a sensor-based abnormal behavior detection system to manage dementia patients who live alone or in an environment where they cannot always take care of dementia patients. Existing studies were merely evaluating behavior or evaluating normal behavior, and there were studies that perceived behavior by processing images, not data from sensors. In this study, we recognized the limitation of real data collection and used both the auto-encoder, the unsupervised learning model, and the LSTM, the supervised learning model. Autoencoder, an unsupervised learning model, trained normal behavioral data to learn patterns for normal behavior, and LSTM further refined classification by learning behaviors that could be perceived by sensors. The test results show that each model has about 96% and 98% accuracy and is designed to pass the LSTM model when the autoencoder outlier has more than 3%. The system is expected to effectively manage the elderly and dementia patients who live alone and reduce the cost of caring.

In the medical field, numerical imbalance of data due to differences in disease prevalence is a common problem. It reduces the performance of a artificial intelligence network, leading to difficulties in learning a network with good performance. Recently, generative adversarial network (GAN) technology has been introduced as a way to address this problem, and its ability has been demonstrated by successful applications in various fields. However, it is still difficult to achieve good results in solving problems with performance degraded by numerical imbalances because the image resolution of the previous studies is not yet good enough and the structure in the image is modeled locally. In this paper, we propose a multi-scale conditional generative adversarial network based on attention mechanism, which can produce high resolution images to solve the numerical imbalance problem of chest X-ray image data. The network was able to produce images for various diseases by controlling condition variables with only one network. It's efficient and effective in that the network don't need to be learned independently for all disease classes and solves the problem of long distance dependency in image generation with self-attention mechanism.
The purpose of this study was learning about chest X-ray image classification and accuracy research through Deep Learning using big data technology with Convolution Neural Network. Normal 1,583 and Pneumonia 4,289 were used in chest X-ray images. The data were classified as train (88.8%), validation (0.2%) and test (11%). Constructed as Convolution Layer, Max pooling layer size 2×2, Flatten layer, and Image Data Generator. The number of filters, filter size, drop out, epoch, batch size, and loss function values were set when the Convolution layer were 3 and 4 respectively. The test data verification results showed that the predicted accuracy was 94.67% when the number of filters was 64-128-128-128, filter size 3×3, drop out 0.25, epoch 5, batch size 15, and loss function RMSprop was 4. In this study, the classification of chest X-ray Normal and Pneumonia was predictable with high accuracy, and it is believed to be of great help not only to chest X-ray images but also to other medical images.
As the Great Reset is discussed at the World Economic Forum due to the COVID-19 pandemic, artificial intelligence, the driving force of the 4th industrial revolution, is also in the spotlight. However, corporate research in the field of artificial intelligence is still scarce. Since 2000, related research has focused on how to create value by applying artificial intelligence to existing companies, and research on how startups seize opportunities and enter among existing businesses to create new value can hardly be found. Therefore, this study analyzed the cases of startups using the comprehensive framework of the multi-level perspective with the research question of how artificial intelligence based startups, a sub-industry of software, have different innovation patterns from the existing software industry. The target firms are gazelle firms that have been certified as venture firms in South Korea, as start-ups within 7 years of age, specializing in machine learning modeling purposively sampled in the medical, finance, marketing/advertising, e-commerce, and manufacturing fields. As a result of the analysis, existing software companies have achieved process innovation from an enterprise-wide integration perspective, in contrast machine learning technology based startups identified unit processes that were difficult to automate or create value by dismantling existing processes, and automate and optimize those processes based on data. The contribution of this study is to analyse the birth of artificial intelligence-based startups and their innovation patterns while validating the framework of an integrated multi-level perspective. In addition, since innovation is driven based on data, the ability to respond to data-related regulations is emphasized even for start-ups, and the government needs to eliminate the uncertainty in related systems to create a predictable and flexible business environment.
The purpose of this study is to propose a convolutional neural network model that can classify normal and abnormal(cardiomegaly) in chest X-ray images. The training data and test data used in this paper were used by acquiring chest X-ray images of patients diagnosed with normal and abnormal(cardiomegaly). Using the proposed deep learning model, we classified normal and abnormal(cardiomegaly) images and verified the classification performance. When using the proposed model, the classification accuracy of normal and abnormal(cardiomegaly) was 99.88%. Validation of classification performance using normal images as test data showed 95%, 100%, 90%, and 96% in accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. Validation of classification performance using abnormal(cardiomegaly) images as test data showed 95%, 92%, 100%, and 96% in accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. Our classification results show that the proposed convolutional neural network model shows very good performance in feature extraction and classification of chest X-ray images. The convolutional neural network model proposed in this paper is expected to show useful results for disease classification of chest X-ray images, and further study of CNN models are needed focusing on the features of medical images.
Deep neural networks (DNNs) provide excellent performance for image, speech, and pattern recognition. However, DNNs sometimes misrecognize certain adversarial examples. An adversarial example is a sample that adds optimized noise to the original data, which makes the DNN erroneously misclassified, although there is nothing wrong with the human eye. Therefore studies on defense against adversarial example attacks are required. In this paper, we have experimentally analyzed the success rate of detection for adversarial examples by adjusting various parameters. The performance of the ensemble defense method was analyzed using fast gradient sign method, DeepFool method, Carlini & Wanger method, which are adversarial example attack methods. Moreover, we used MNIST as experimental data and Tensorflow as a machine learning library. As an experimental method, we carried out performance analysis based on three adversarial example attack methods, threshold, number of models, and random noise. As a result, when there were 7 models and a threshold of 1, the detection rate for adversarial example is 98.3%, and the accuracy of 99.2% of the original sample is maintained.
